So I'm to Colorado and brought my Scott MTB with me having bought it at REI back in California. In doing so I got a "free tune-up" before I moved and much to my chagrin, I had no rear brakes when I tried to go for a ride. A fellow road racer, Dan R, referred me to Adventure so I stopped by yesterday to drop it off but owner Erik inspected and fixed my bike while I waited?! Having managed South Coast Bike shop in my day, I realize the importance of good customer service and appreciate Erik taking care of me so quickly! No week long wait here!!! I liken it to that time Martin Diedrich came into my shop with a flat tire on his Schwinn Collegiate and I fixed it while he waited, free of charge, and he rewarded me with years of free coffee at the old Diedrich Coffee before Starbucks bought them up. 30 years later and I'm still a coffee junkie. I found this bike shop in the midst of COVID, when many bike shops don't even answer their phones. I was getting frustrated at the other bike shops who had voice mail systems telling the customer to email the store. Very impressed that each time I called and spoke to a real human (wow!) that they were patient, kind, and most of all - helpful. I also love that this is a locally owned bike shop run by good, honest people. Really appreciate the great customer service by Christy, always friendly and patient despite it always being crazy in there! Isaac a mechanic helped me understand a technical issue in a very simple way, which I really appreciated. The owner Eric clearly has great people working at his store. This Saturday, while riding in Cherry Creek Park, I had a flat, walked the distance to Adventure Cycling - by the time I arrived it was 10 minutes past their closing time. The front doors were closed, they were about to leave in their van. I asked them if they can fix the flat. They happily asked me to go to the back entrance. They replaced the tube at a reasonable price and helped me avoid a long walk home! I got the feeling that they genuinely care and want to help cyclists. Not only did they have my size (rare) but they had the cleats which are apparently hard to find in store and only an older model (Deltas) fit. This is definitely the best bike shop around! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner always goes out of his way to help people. One time I was in the bike shop picking up some supplies and getting some free advice and I overheard another customer asking to have training wheels installed on a large adult bicycle. The staff was so polite and friendly as they explained to the customer that they could not install training wheels on an adult bike and the customer started yelling at the top of his lungs "Eric B always gets what he wants! ... Eric B wants some training wheels!". I watched in shock as the customer popped his top off and started flexing in different body building poses. It was odd since the customer only appeared to weigh about 90 pounds. I was impressed on how the staff handled the situation and will be back for more friendly service for my bike! read more

I'm a cyclist who loves to visit local bicycle shops when I go onto vacation. Yesterday I had the privilege to visit Adventure Cycling shop. I was extremely pleased on how the friendly hospitality we received while shopping there. Upon entering the shop we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who eagerly showed us around His store then offered assistance on finding out the reason for our visit. Once I made my purchase decisions the other gentleman gladly offer help on making sure I got everything I was looking for as we were checking ot. In fact he willingly gave me an outstanding discount on my tee shirt and water bottle. This place is amazing. Erik is so accommodating and friendly. He helped my girlfriend and I get new mountain bikes and fitted them for free. A week later, I didn't care for mine as much as she did so he actually took it back and gave me full retail toward a different model that fit better. A few months later I brought in my full suspension that I didn't even buy from him and he tuned the derailleur for free. He has given me some advice on various trails too. After being treated like I belong in steerage by the Bicycle Village bike shop staff, I found out about this place from the ladyfriend's pops. So...I went. I needed a single rim for my bike, along with a tire and a disc brake rotor, and not only did they spend the time with me to make sure they could find a rim that matched what I was looking for, but made sure they found a used brake rotor in mint condition to cut down on the cost. They were also very friendly during the whole process, which is so much more than I can say about a certain village of bicycles not terribly far down the road. They got the tire in in about 5 days, and made sure I had everything I needed. A few days later, when taking my wheel(s) out for a spin I remembered that the magnetic sensor that goes on the spoke of my front wheel for my bike computer was lost with the original tire -- so I stopped back in a few days later after a 15 minute wait at the B.V. service desk yielded one employee who was helpful, and one who was rude (but no magnet because they neither sell them nor had any spares hanging around.) So I left and went to Adventure Cycling. Where they not only had what I needed, but asked me about my tire to make sure it was working fine, and made sure I didn't need anything else. I was on my way with my sensor, pleased at having found a new go-to bike shop. As I've said in my BV reviews, I won't be back again except for my free yearly tuneup. My review for Adventure Cycling is long overdue, but it's better late than never, right? Last year I decided to do to the Colorado MS 150. Seeing as I hadn't ridden a bike in a solid 3 years, it was time to purchase my first road bike. And for some reason, I needed an Orbea Aqua Dama TSR. I can't explain it to you. I just needed that bike. I was emailing and calling every bike shop in town (and some out of state - I told you I wanted that bike) asking if they had this certain model. No one did. But then Erik replied and had the exact model in the exact size I needed! It was meant to be. The icing on the cake was Erik quoted me a price over email, and when I got there, he said "Oh, it's actually $100 less." How's that for honesty? I really appreciate that. I am honestly so glad that I was lucky enough to find Adventure Cycling. As a novice cyclist, the guys are always super helpful and really nice when I ask them silly questions or when I bring my bike in. I have been using Adventure Cycling as my local bike shop for the last 10 years. There is a reason that they have a dedicated and loyal following in Southeast Denver/Aurora/Centennial. I couldn't be more satisfied with a business owner. I have had several bikes serviced there, I have gone in for advice on purchases and have participated in their group ride on Saturday morning. I've never had a bad experience with Erik or his staff. Recently I have a Mavic hub fail after several attempts at repair over several seasons of riding. They contacted Mavic and advocated on my behalf even though the wheel was almost 10 yrs old. Mavic replaced the wheel at 50% discount because Erik was able to explain to them that this it happened three or four times over the last five years. 5 stars! read more

I can't say enough good things about Adventure Cycling. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Had I known about their stellar level of customer service and knowledge, I would have started shopping there years ago. I went in for the first time last week, just to get some new handlebars. I left with a whole new fit and a whole new level of comfort on the bike. On my ride the next day, I couldn't believe the difference in my performance. In the last 10 or so years that I've been cycling, I have had at least 3 bike fittings with some of the top names in the bike fitting industry. Yet this was the first time I was allowed (and encouraged) to actually try the components they put on my bike to make sure that things felt good when I was actually riding on the road. This sounds like a very logical approach, yet every other fit session put me on a trainer and left me with some measurements and component recommendations. Despite these people being known as the best in their field, my previous bike fittings left me with only marginal comfort and performance increases. As far as I'm concerned, Adventure Cycling is THE BEST in the bike fitting industry. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and incredibly friendly. Their knowledge of all of the things that can affect your comfort on the bike is second to none. I will certainly go to Adventure Cycling from now on, for any and all of my cycling needs. Came here today looking for some tuning work on my road bike. I fully expected to have to drop off the bike and come back later in the day, or perhaps in a few days. As my luck would have it, they tuned my derailleurs, cleaning my chain, fixed my bent hangar and charged me a fair price, all in about 20 minutes. They were friendly and knowledgeable. So I bought a Raleigh road bike 10 years ago back in FL, it had the full Ultegra group set and on sale for $999 as it was last years model. The bike shop changed the stem, adjusted the seat and I was on my way. Ive completed a couple of MS150 rides and a few centuries on this bike over the years. On the longer rides my neck and butt always hurt plus I could never get comfy other than on the hoods. After bitching recently to a fellow cyclist about wanting/needing a new bike, he asked me if I have ever had a fitting, "err yeah sure they moved my seat and stem for my reach" I replied. Well after being enlightened by John at Adventure Cycling, Ive never actually had a fitting until now and I gotta say, wow wot a difference, its like I just bought a new bike! Never thought I would have a guy measure my arse, ha! but they have this strip of memory foam that you sit on and it leaves an imprint so they can measure your sit bones. Apparently my stock seat was too skinny and a wider seat solved that problem so now its just more like the first ride of the season ache! They have you lay on a massage table and do like a 20 step assessment testing your strength, flexibility, knee position, spinal curvature, hip flex, etc to help determine your riding position. I mentioned to John that I hated using the drops coz apart from pinching my gut, it just wasn't comfortable and he pointed out that my handlebars were too low and the wrong shape. These bikes come from the factory as one config fits all but these bars just didn't work with my grip and position on the bike so he switched out the stem to bring me up and then a better designed handlebar to give me comfort in all three positions. Now I can finally use the drops and I actually like it, plus the bars have the aero style top, again for a comfier grip. He also gave my cleats a slight adjustment and now I feel a whole bunch more confident on my bike. Its not a miracle and I don't think I am 100% just yet but I've only done three 50 mile rides each Sunday since my fitting and you gotta get a few rides under your belt first but then you can go back for any adjustments that may be needed. Obviously I gotta work on my own fitness as far as the gut etc but at least now i am looking forward to cheating on my mtn bike a few more times this year hanging out with you roadies :o) So if you have a bike and don't feel comfortable on it, I would suggest you look into a professional fitting at Adventure Cycling as it really does make a difference and I think its worth every penny! Recently got the cycling bug, but thought before investing in a modern bike, I'd overhaul my 33-year-old Schwinn LeTour IV and use it to build up my endurance. Got it pretty much completed, except it wouldn't shift gears properly, so I dropped by Adventure Cycling to have them take a look. Thought I'd probably have to leave it for a few days, but to my surprise, Erik, one of the owners, took it back in the shop while I waited, found the derailleur was improperly mounted and fixed it on the spot. Shifts smooth as silk now. Not only that, he did it gratis! Don't get me wrong, I don't expect people running a business to work for free, but it was a really nice gesture and I'll definitely be back when shopping for a new bike. read more

I recently wanted to get into cycling, specifically for my commute to work, and ended up coming into this shop with almost zero knowledge. Despite me clearly not being a big spender and not really knowing what I was looking for, the staff was extremely friendly and explained different options to me. They didn't try to sell me on something more than I needed, and after I found something I liked they insisted I go on a test ride before making any decisions. Since buying my bike here (for a very reasonable price), I have come in numerous times with small problems or for tune-ups and they are always willing to help out. If they aren't too busy they will often do things right on the spot in very little time, and even when they are busier the wait isn't usually too bad. So on my 60 mile ride today, I blew two tires and had a C02 canister malfunction. I was dead in the water 30 miles from home. I luckily ran across Adventure Cycling as I was walking my bike out of Cherry Creek reservoir. These guys were amazing. Ashton took my bike, checked everything out, and fixed my tires. I had some rim damage and they sanded it down and made sure I was safe before leaving the store. I made it home after another 20 miles. I can't say more about how these guys helped me out and had everything I needed to get me back on the road. I bought a used bike at an auction to jump start my need to get in shape. I took it into Adventure Cycling where I explained everything. I told them I knew nothing about cycling, and was curious what I needed replaced. The owner promptly diagnosed the problems, didn't try and upsell me, and beat the bicycle village (where I was treated like a leper) quote I had just received by $250. He then took me around around the shop, answered every question I had, explained how everything worked from shoes to helmets to seats to clothing and everything in between. Not only was he friendly and helpful, he treated me like I was one of his best customers. I have been back in there a few times, and not only is the staff friendly and helpful every time I walk in the door, they've either remembered my name or my bike. I have probably spent a total of $450 dollars there, but they treat me like I have spent $10,000. I highly recommend this place if you want a shop that will treat you like their best customer regardless of your cycling knowledge or ability. read more

Great place! Took my trek fuel in for a tune up because one of the hubs was loose. They told me the tune up was not necessary and That all I needed was to adjust the hub and brakes. Prices for the service was great. They seem honest and friendly. Received service right away. read more
