I was greeted right when I walked in and explained that it's been a while since I've owned a bicycle, so there has been a lot of advancement that I've not really kept up on. I don't know much about the details of biking other than the basics, but Bill (at least that was the name on my receipt lol) was super nice and explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. After a little back and forth, I ended up purchasing a Specialized bike in a really pretty sage green color. Bill explained the warranties, their commitment to servicing their bicycles, and even let me know that they're always happy to help or answer questions that come up after you begin getting more acquainted with the bike. While bicycles have become a lot more expensive since the last time I owned one, I'm very happy with my purchase! I took it out that evening and it was a ton of fun. The seat is a bit uncomfortable, as many probably are, but I'm so happy to finally have a good bike that fits me. Definitely appreciated the help and I would recommend this place to anyone that might be in the market for a new bike!

I spent $500 at the shop and got both bikes back--everything seemed fine. I live nearby so I rode my bike home less than 10 min. The next day I noticed the tire was completely flat. I hadn't had a flat tire prior to coming into the shop; I didn't ride over any terrain that would likely be the cause of the flat. I brought the bike in just to see if someone could take a look at the tire--maybe something happened when it was put on the new wheel? The bike tech immediately adopted a condescending tone and said he wouldn't even look at it without charging me. He said since I rode it (only 10 min) that it was a certainty that I did something to puncture it. Essentially, he's so infallible that if anything goes wrong after his repair, there's a greater chance of the sun not rising tomorrow. Great attitude!

Lee at Fly Bike Shop is a super friendly dude, willing to help you out or get you what you need for your bike build or whatever. While the shop may not have a whole lot of parts on hand to select from, Lee can pretty much order anything you need and typically have it in the shop for pickup within 2-3 days. Prices on parts and service are reasonable and competitive compared to some higher priced "boutique" bicycle shops in Denver. I've learned a lot from frequenting Fly Bike Shop. Lee allowing me to use his bike repair stands to work on my own builds or swap out parts has been extremely educational, being a person who likes to come from a place of knowledge when it comes to making my own repairs. Even lets my dog Motley hang out in the shop while I get dirty, which is rad! There are better shops in Denver with more parts selection and/or a nicer flair to them, however you won't experience any of that bicycle "elitism" attitude when dealing with Fly Bike Shop. And in my opinion that goes a lot farther than selection. Just a straight forward go-to bike shop when you need something. I'll be a life long customer, no doubt. read more

This experience started off not the greatest to be honest. I just moved to the area and was searching for a bike shop close to me. There was an apparent miscommunication on the completion/progress on my bike. My bike was supposed to be ready on a Thursday after dropping it off on a Monday. After calling the following Monday, having heard nothing from them, the gentleman I spoke with told me he would finish up my bike that day and that they were waiting on parts. Annnd after paying $80 or so bucks for a tune up, new brakes and a rear wheel truing the bike was still skipping on the chain and the tire tube lasted a day. After talking out my frustrations with the situation to the gentleman helping me, he looked further into the situation and ended up paying for my brake pads and surprised me with a brand new derailleur as mine was on its last leg so to speak. Lee is the gentleman I spoke with. He and his fellow staff were truly fantastic in turning a negative first time customer experience into a situation that will keep me coming back for continued service! Jules did a great job! I came in looking for a Masi bike they had on sale from $1299 to $799. Luckily they still had one of my size in stock! Jules did a great job of fitting the bike to me and making sure that it was going to serve my daily commuting needs. BTW, they had a ton of bikes in the shop and it was literally packed from one end to the other. What I really like about the shop is that they didnt try to just sell me a bike, Jules actually spent time with me, answered all my questions and was really genuine about making sure I was happy. He called the owner and asked him if we could do a better deal because (quite honestly) I was a little strapped for even the sale price. Lee (the owner) okayed an additional discount and made sure I got the free u-lock even though he gave me more money off. The bike broker really was a great experience and I will have all my maintenance done by them too. Zero intimidation from a bike shop that has enthusiast working for it. Thanks you guys! read more

303 Bike Shop lists dozens of posts daily on Craigslist as "Owner" instead of "Dealer". It becomes cumbersome when a Craigslist user has to scroll past pages and pages and pages of new bikes while trying to find a deal on a fixer upper. There are hundreds of 303 BS posts per week. Not exaggerating. To the owners of 303 BS, please take the time to click the "Dealer" check box. If the issue has been unintentional, understood, mistakes happen, but after years of this I finally decided to write a review. If this is a conscious decision, I guarantee you are annoying more potential buyers than finding new ones. As you probably know, bike searches on CL default to "All" instead of Owner or Dealer so people that intentionally select "Owner" for searches really do not want to see your posts. Correct this and I will update my review. Not following the simple rules of Craigslist is a bad look. read more

I recently decided I wanted a Fat bike and decided to shop around just after the big surly price reduction . I stumbled upon the bicycle broker where I met with Matt this was an excellent experience and he walked me through a bunch of options. I decided that I wanted a surly moon lander despite other shops talking me down to spend money on a lighter bike. Something I'm not to concerned about being 6'5 280. Matt did an amazing job and built me a moon lander from ground up and saved me money. And didn't talk me into parts I didn't need and suggested parts he thought might suite my needs and wasn't shy to suggest me to look at online stores to look for better deals. They truly know the meaning of customer service and have earned a broker lifer. read more

Had a fantastic experience at The Bicycle Broker. We went in to check out mountain bikes and Lee was super patient and helpful even though it was close to closing time. He said he was happy to hang out while we tested out some bikes and he took his time to answer our many questions. He even looked up a few bikes that he didn't carry with us to see if they would be a good match for our budget. Realizing that this really was the best deal and the best fit for our needs, we ended up buying two bikes from him and love them! Ordered a custom fixie here some time ago with different color schemes to my liking. Bike came in with wrong colored pedals, handlebars, and clicking noise coming from the chain. Tried getting this fixed multiple times, but once they get your money it seems that's the last they want to hear from you. Lee doesn't follow through with his promises plain and simple. IMO you want a cheap fixie order it from BIGShotbikes themselves and slap together. They are also awesome replacing faulty parts directly. Avoid the middle man. read more

May I say what a new friend in Lee I made? My bike was stolen towards the end of June and I was set to vacation the week of the 4th of July. Lee went out of his way to get my new wheels to me within two days getting me a fantastic new Surly Straggler. He built a fabulous bike and delivered it to my work in a hailstorm. I had them do the service on my Fox 38 fork back then. The turn around time was great, and price was very attractive as well. Months later my rear shock, a Fox X2 needed service so again, I took it to Kickstand. They do the work in house, which is very attractive to me. The guys at Kickstand are as honest as the day is long, and stand behind their work. I had a small issue with my rear shock and they took care of it in a friendly and professional manner. Integrity matters a LOT to me. These guys have it. I do most of my MTB work myself, but I will be taking all my suspension work to Kickstand from now on. I can't rave about them enough.
