Rev, my boxer/ridgeback mix LOVES going to Adventure Dog Ranch. His tail is wagging furiously as soon as we turn into 2nd Avenue NE when he recognizes where we are headed. Kerri & Steve are "dog whisperers" with an affinity for knowing what each dog needs in play with other dogs. Free range play all day & comfy sleeping rooms at night. Steve and Kerri are great! We've been taking our 2-year-old Aussie Doodle to Adventure Dog Ranch for almost a year now and it's always been a good experience. They did a thorough initial meeting to check out his temperament, as well as verifying his vaccine records, to make sure he'd work well with their setup and other dogs. Since then he's visited about 8 times for overnight boarding, sometimes just 1 night and at the longest 10 nights. While generally the phone isn't picked up when I call, Kerri is quite responsive to emails. Our pup gets great exercise and socialization opportunities while he's there and is always excited to start his visits. If they weren't 30 minutes from our house, we'd definitely bring our dog there for daycare regularly! I recommend them if you're looking for a good place with people who really care about the dogs and spend lots of time with them. I also appreciate that they have a few different sections outside to separate dogs as needed - big vs. small or excited vs. chill, etc. read more

I have a high energy dog who is a little bit on the anxious side but there's really no judgement here. My family has taken my dog here for years and I'm so happy to have a place that we can take him when he needs a day to play or when we're gone for a trip. We love this place!! Adventure Dog Ranch is truly THE BEST. I discovered this doggy daycare/boarding spot online and couldn't be more thrilled with it. We've been taking our black lab here for a few years now, and she gets so excited when we're in the car and she realizes we're going there. She gets to run around all day in a field all day with adult supervision, and comes home completely exhausted, which says quite a lot for her. This is absolutely the best daycare and boarding spot for dogs, especially who have energy and should be running around outside during the day. We drove all the way from Seattle to Marysville to drop off and pick up our dog, and it is well worth it. Can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

Our search was over....we found the ultimate place for our pooch a few summers ago after becoming new owners! Steve worked with our new pooch at first on a few obedience issues, then he made sure our pooch could deal with the pack, and finally, Steve & Staff cared for her when we couldn't while on vacation. Our pooch LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this place and she gets excited as soon as we turn off the main road, she knows where she is going, and she loves the opportunity to RUN, PLAY, and BE FREE all while in the safe confines of the ranch! We believe Steve is our local dog-whisperer!! We tell anyone who will listen about the Adventure Dog Ranch, and we bring our pooch there for every vacation during winter, and all our camping trips during the summer. My old GSP Severus recently lost his hunting partner and desperately needed more socialization. When he was a younger pup, he had a bad start at another day care and "flunked out" on his first day. I really liked the behavior test policy at Adventure Dog Ranch, I thought it was very professional. Severus is an old man now and he passed the test. He loves the Ranch. When I say "Adventure Dog Ranch", he can go from sound sleep to jumping with joy. When I call and leave a voice message on their phone, he runs to the phone when he hears Kerri's voice. He has found new friends and, I believe, he connects with them like family. I am so grateful for these folks and their vision. They are very professional. read more

Being going to ADR for years now. Getting frustrated with the lack of responsibility by the owners. They expect the dog's owner to make changes when a situation happens instead of supervising the dogs as advertised to avoid that situation all together. They don't require proof of current vaccines past the initial visit, so the dogs are sharing any disease they may have. They don't take responsibillity for lost items, such as collars, just expect the owner to go buy a new one. I continue to use this business because they are close to home and cost effective. read more

Seems like a great concept. All day supervised play time. My dog loves being outside and thought this would be great for him. So I dropped him off thinking about how he would be outside playing with some new dog friends all day. As I was pulling into their driveway to pick him up I was thinking how great it was going to be to see him outside having a good time and having fun with his new friends. So I pull up to the outside play area and take a look around. Don't see him anywhere (it's 10:30 am). Hmm, a little strange I think. Walk into the office/intake area and they let him through the door. Apparently as I understand it he was still in the sleeping area (they have been open for 3 hours now). I asked the owner why he wasn't outside. She mumbled something like they gave him breakfast and then he needs a nap for 2 hours after that (uh, he has been in a room since 4:30pm the night before from what I understand). Not sure he needs to spend the morning in the sleeping room. She also added they got a late start on the day so maybe that is why? Anyways, not so sure how much he actually got outside to play. Maybe it was just that morning that he didn't get out yet (as of 10:30am). I don't really know. Seems like a great place to take your dog if they do get all day outside time. read more

Our pups absolutely LOVE coming here. Their tails start wagging before we even pull up to the place! Kerri and Steve are very knowledgeable and it's clear they have a passion for dogs. The dogs get to spend most of the day outside (except for a break after mealtime so that they can properly digest their food) and they get to sleep together in a room (our dogs like to snuggle with each other). Steve has also provided training for one of our dogs, which was fantastic. We really saw results. 10/10! We recommend Adventure Dog Ranch to all our friends! read more

this place ROCKS. The owners steve and kerri really understand dog behavior. our dog shadow can't wait to go to daycare. runs to the door cause he knows he is going to romp , play chase and sniff buts. we took him as an older puppy with chewing/ destroying issues. it all just stopped within a week. he comes home tired happy and content. we also use the ranch for boarding and know our dog is WELL attended not just let out for 20 minutes. it is all day exercise read more

I had an emergency situation and unfortunately was in need of a lengthy board. I hated leaving my dog for even a night anywhere with anyone. However, KERRI & STEVE were a life saver. They took the absolute best care of my Peppy. He followed Kerri everywhere and anywhere she went. I think he might have even wanted to stay longer-lol. We were very unhappy with our short experience at Adventure Dog Ranch. Our 8 month old puppy (after having lots of socialization in her early months with other dogs)has been pretty much at home for 3 months, as I had a major injury and was incapacitated. We took her to Adventure to be evaluated in preparation for leaving her overnight. in a few weeks. Upon entering the facility, our dog was greeted by 2 men and a woman. After not being with others for awhile, our dog jumped and barked....then we were taken into a small outdoor area. Our dog began to calm down and sniff, etc. After only a few minutes (less than 5) we were asked to go into a larger outdoor area, so they could evaluate our dog....this larger area was separated from our dog by a chain link fence...and they had one of their dogs go with us. Our dog became VERY agitated as she could see us with the other dog, but could not get to us. Then they tried to introduce a dog to her....she jumped, and growled. All three of these adults made no real effort to connect with our puppy, just stood and watched her... and then pronounced that she had 'separation anxiety' and was aggressive and they would not care for her. Their suggestion was that we find someone to look after her in our home AND that we do extensive 'separation anxiety' work with her. All of this took less than 10 minutes. We went home feeling like failures and that our dog was out of control. One week later, we took her to another local dog camp. This time, the staff person got down on the floor with our dog, connected with her, and spent 15 minutes while we were still there, playing with her. Our dog warmed quickly. We then left and our dog stayed for 3 hours happily playing with other dogs..staff reported she took just a few minutes to figure out 'what this place was' and then she was totally fine with both the other dogs, and with staff. They didn't want her to leave. So much for separation anxiety and aggression! I will NEVER recommend Adventure Dog Ranch to anyone. read more

This is hands-down the best place I have ever boarded my dog. I've used their services multiple times for week+ stays, and my dog always comes back happy and exhausted. The dogs get lots of outdoors time and are always supervised. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to board their dog. read more
