Full disclosure - I haven't actually boarded my dog here, because he was rejected during the meet…read moreand greet, two days before we were scheduled to leave for three days for a trip. I'm not angry about them saying no to a dog - that's their right. But seriously, the owner was sort of mean. First, though, the yard and house are big and beautiful- a perfect set up for dogs. But the owner, wow. My 1.5 year old barked when he first met her, which she said was inappropriate. He doesn't usually do this, and I'm not woo-woo, but she really gave off an aggressive energy. ("You will walk behind me as we visit the yard!"). I almost saluted. He only barked at her for a few seconds. I could tell he was a little anxious. There was a ball in the yard and I asked if I could throw it for my dog - I thought a little play time would chill him out. She said, and I quote, "No. definitely not. It's not a good idea to throw balls for dogs. They get obsessed and it messes with their psyche. I don't recommend it when there are several dogs, and I don't recommend it even when they're alone." Ok - dogs and balls - not good. Got it. I asked about drop off and pick up times. We were hoping for a late afternoon or early evening drop off so we could make our early morning flight the next day, and an evening pick up on Sunday after our trip. She told me that the only drop off time is 7 am. No exceptions. I was about to ask if could drop him off at 6:45 am, but before i could finish my sentence she said, and I quote, "No flexibility. Not even 5 minutes." So far I'm thinking, ok, she gruff, she's rude, she's strict, but as long as she's good with my dog, it'll be fine. My dog was exploring the yard, and she asked me (again) for his name. I told her Max. She called (rather quietly) "Max." He didn't come. She didn't say "come." Just "Max." She told me he's not trained well - he doesn't come. I shouted, "Max, come!" and he immediately came to me. No comment from boss lady. He always comes when called with the command "come." Then the real test. She has me stand in a fenced off area away from max and introduced him to three dogs, one at a time. Sort of. She brought the first dog out of the house, the two dogs sniffed each other through the fence, then she let the cute little guy out to the yard with Max. They ran and played well, although the little guy got a little aggressive and nipped at Max. Max didn't respond at all - took it in stride. The next dog came out and was so amped up she decided not to put him into the yard - she put him back in the house because he was barking and jumping and growling at Max through the fence. By now my normally sweet dog was anxious and whining through the fence at me like he wanted me to come to him. Then the third dog - big beautiful Shepard. She let him into the main yard with Max and they started playing, and Max, as he does when he plays, barked in his face and tried to wrestle. Boss lady says, "Nope. No. No. No. Not going to work out." She took the other dog back in and told me Max can't be here - he doesn't play well with other dogs." Half an our later we were at the dog park, and Max played with four dogs beautifully. And yes, he barked and wrestled and had a blast, as did the other dogs.

He is truly a dog lover and it shows. He spends time with the dogs like they're family - exactly what any dog owner would hope for when they're away. His place is beautiful, peaceful and honestly a dog heaven. It's the total opposite of a traditional kennel where the dogs look like they're so bored they're going crazy. We are so glad we took their recommendation because Joe, the owner of the facility, was absolutely phenomenal. It is situated on a large property and our dog was able to run and play every day (weather permitting), and at night she was in a warm and cozy kennel with other dogs. Joe also texted us letting us know he took our pup on a one-on-one walk down by the river so she could warm up to him! He sent us several pictures of our dog while we were away and we were so relieved that she was being taking care of by a caring individual who simply loves dogs. The hours are great and Joe charges per over-night, so we were able to pick up our pup at 7:30 at night as soon as we flew in without having to pay an extra fee. We are so glad that we now have a go-to place for boarding when we have to be away.

Last night we received a check to reimburse our costs from the vet. I still question the quality of care here, but it was solid move on her part to try and make it right financially. 02/02/2018:I'm seething right now! My dog went into this groomers in the morning with both eyes perfectly fine. I got home this evening after my husband picked him up to find that they has shaves over his eye, or at the very least cut too close to it, removing good portion of his eyelashes . His eye is severely swollen, red, and over watery. I now have to take him to the vet tomorrow.

We wanted to nip this medium/large dog "trauma" out of Luna's system, so she can feel safe and enjoy the company of other dogs. When we came to julya with this issue, (in the midst of a last minute trip) julya was assuring and patient. She had given Luna a slow introduction to the rest of the pack and allowed Luna to process the surrounding changes at her pace. After 3 nights with Julya, Luna came home and slept for a whole day. She was happy and tired as could be (which is always a great sign). However, the more amazing thing is the changes in her at the dog park. I could see her hesitation at first but by the second time we brought her to the dog park, she was playing with labradors, pitbulls, Great Danes and chihuahuas alike. If you're having the same issue with your dog, or if your dog has gone through an incident like mine, meeting the right people & pack does wonders.

The…read morestaff are very attentive to his nervousness and make sure to place him in groups where he will have fun and not be nervous. They are great for any special diet needs. My dog loves going and jumps in the car as soon as we say its time for CCR. The staff are very responsive to phone calls and emails. We also get him groomed and have always been incredibly happy with the results as well as they care they give him during the grooming to meet his needs. We highly recommend CCR! It's our understanding that it has been under new ownership and management since fall 2022.
