So far we've had nothing but great experiences here. I feel like they treat my daughter well (or she'd tell me. She doesn't hold back lol). She's always so happy when I come in to get her and tells them all "bye bye I see you tomorrow!" I really appreciate how great they are with the kids any time I've been in there. My son has loved the past few days he has spent here. The caregivers are so kind and really enjoy being around kids. He's a tough toddler and this place has been amazing when we needed backup care. I cannot recommend this place enough. My son is always in a good mood when we pick him up. He is one year old so I'm not sure how care is for the older kids but they do look like they are all having fun! There is a separate area for infants/toddlers. They do activities with the kids and can provide lunch for an extra $5. read more

I unfortunately have to leave this review to warn parents. So there are a few things I noticed bringing my child. First. She got the worst case of hand foot and mouth disease and now I am very sick myself. I am talking ER sick. We've been in the ER twice since this entire thing started. They do not sanitize toys until end of each day. They should honestly be sanitizing every time a child puts a toy in their mouth it needs to be taken and cleaned. I feel like the environment is not clean enough. There is no other place she could've gotten it because for 3 days in a row she was taken straight there early morning and right back home. No one else has symptoms but me and her. She started showing symptoms first that me about 3 days later. I mean it's HORRIBLE see the pics. So to sum it up and include the other things I didn't like here is a list... 1. The cleanliness/ sanitization only at end of day 2. The meals - very unhealthy junk food 3. The music- times I would go in very inappropriate music was playing 4. Too many kids from different age groups in same space To elaborate on #4 sometimes they get so busy theres too many kids and combined with kids coming in and out (some staying a couple hours) and them not cleaning at least hourly can cause a major health concern. I thought I had found a great place and while everyone was sweet and kind, I just cannot recommend this place for the safety and health of myself and my child. read more

My kiddo has been coming here for years! She absolutely loves adventure kids, she always talks about how much fun she has when she goes. She started going around 1 years old and is now 5! Whenever i have to work on the weekend, it has been a life saver. She gets to play with other kids and not just sit and watch tv. All of the staff are very friendly and know her by name, and they all do a great job with the kids. Definitely a plus for parents who need a weekend date night or has to work! My son has been coming here since he was 5 months old, so about 4 months now. I can't rave enough about the staff here. Babies can have a hard time leaving parents, but they have been so caring to him. I pick him up and he is so happy and bubbly! I'm so grateful to have a place I trust to drop my son off too! Like a reviewer mentioned, I think it's better for older kids that are more independent. On that note, if you have a child in diapers? They steal them. I would take my child for a brief couple hours and find that they don't change my child anytime during that time but there's always a diaper missing each day. How do I know? I marked the diaper my child was wearing. Yes I sure did, they say if you will need a diaper you can purchase one from them. So.....They want to charge you for a diaper the are taking from someone else. Peachy!! Don't believe it, try what I did. My child no longer attends. read more

I don't know what I did before I found this place. All the ladies who work here are so amazing, I know I don't have to worry about leaving my kids. I make my reservations online early in the day if I know I'm going to need to drop off, on occasion I've had to phone in last minute and they gladly let us stop in. Reservations are definitely recommended for infants and toddlers, and then definitely on Friday and Saturday nights. You can purchase a meal for a reasonable price or bring in your own. Every Friday they do pizza for dinner, my 2 year old loves it. I highly recommend Adventure Kids for date night, when you need that one hour shopping or solo lunch when the kids are driving you crazy, any time. I use them about three times a week. read more

This place is a life saver for a suburban mom who sometimes just wanna have fun. No need to worry about your flaky teenage sitter, just drop your kids off any time and for any amount of time. You are charged by the minute and the prices are fairly reasonable. They open til midnight on Friday and Saturday and some Sundays til 7PM. The place is located near the movie theatre in the 1890 Ranch shopping center conveniently off the 183A toll. The place is smaller than I expected; however, the space is well utilized and there are plenty of activities including TV center, video game consoles, a small playscape, costumes, and plenty of toys for playing make believe. It says a lot about what really goes on in a business. The other big deal to me is peace of mind. It's worth 100 times what you save at a place you're less comfortable leaving your children. My family has used this place for several years, now, for our three young children. I cannot adequately endorse this business with a simple review. They are exceptional in how they have been to us. Recently, my wife and I dropped our little ones off there so we could have a lunch date in Austin. I got the kids settled in, and my wife remained in our vehicle with it running. We then drove to the restaurant and parked. As soon as we did, I realized we no longer had our vehicle keys. They were in the diaper bag back at Adventure. We were planning on eating and then getting a cab back to our kiddos, but I called the facility first to make sure our keys were actually there. The staff checked our bag, located our keys, and brought them to us at the Arboretum! That is phenomenal customer services that cannot be matched anywhere else! I didn't even ask them to bring us our keys. They took that upon themselves. It is truly an amazing place filled with extraordinary people. read more

This place is great! My kids (now 3 years old and 18 months old) always have a great time. I love being able to go and run errands alone, knowing my kids are safe and happy. My only wish is that they would make it a standard procedure to track diaper changes, potty breaks, and what and how much kids ate for kids under 4 years old. I think it's fairly standard for them to track and report this for kids under 18 months. I think you have to specifically ask them to do so after that age. I tend to forget to ask beforehand and then haven't always been able to get an answer at pickup if someone was out on break/lunch. read more

My 1 year old is always smiling when I pick her up, and I always feel comfortable when leaving her. We have experienced other drop-off places that made us question if our kids would be in good hands and then distracted us from whatever we had scheduled. Not here. We always have felt like the kids were in good hands when we dropped off. Our kids have been going for four years now! They are now some of the older kids there (7 and 9) but even so, the staff does a nice job getting them to "help" and making them feel okay about being there. When they were younger we'd sometimes question whether or not they got everything they needed while they were there, but that's part of having little kids who can't communicate that well yet. You will always wonder exactly what happens while you are away. Now they are older I get all the details and they enjoy their time at AK. There are sometimes kids who don't behave well that affect my kids' experience but that too, happens everywhere. Just like any childcare place there are sometimes new staff that aren't as trained or as good as the ones we know well. Again, that's part of the childcare experience that is to be expected. But there's always at least one of the regular staffers there when they have newbies. read more

This place is great! I bring my son here for several hours every Sunday and various times throughout the week. Every time we walk through the door, we get greeted with everyone saying "Yay Gunnar!!!". It makes us feel so good about leaving him there. This place is AMAZING!! And that is an understatement. I drop my 3 year old so. There all the time and they are great. They serve lunch or dinner if they so happen to be there at that time. They change clothes if they have an accident and diapers if they wear them and it all at drop in rates. When ever you need to just pop in if something comes up. Very sad to give this review. My older daughter, Audrey, had been coming here since she was 2 (now 9). The recent decline in quality has been so stark that we will not be returning. The last straw was tonight when we came to pick up our 2 daughters at 7:30pm after a date night. The whole facility was in chaos. Some children that looked way too old to be in there were running rough shot over the play area. It took several minutes to get anyone's attention to let us in. When we did get in our older daughter was waiting at the front and very upset- some children had been bullying her and she said none of the staff helped to stop it. Our younger daughter, 4, was also upset with a big noticeable bruised bump on her nose. She told us another child had thrown a toy at her face. There was no incident report done and none of the staff had notified us of a head injury (standard procedure at any other child care). This breaks my heart because I had previously trusted this facility for many years with the care of my children. We will never go back. read more

I used Adventure Kids Playcare for some temporary part-time childcare that I needed for my toddler boy, who has a unique personality with exceptionally big feelings that he often has a very difficult time with. The employees there were always warm and sensitive to him, and when I picked him up they were thorough about reporting on the time he was there. When something came up for us that needed the attention of the owner, their team was understanding and accommodating. This was our go to drop in daycare up until one day I dropped my 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter so I could take my finals. I informed the girl who was handling the front desk that my husband will pick them up an hour and a half later when he gets off from work. My son was napping at the time and my daughter just went straight to the play area. My husband calls me an hour later that when he got there he found my son, crying for me, alone and wet! I had informed them that my son is potty trained but when he wakes up from a nap that he sometimes forget. NOW, the place wasn't busy at all... it was at 6 pm where everyone has picked up their kid (s)... he found one girl on her phone and the other one only rushed to my sons side when he was already there.. The concept is great and the location is very clean but users need to be aware there will likely be no incident reports provided if your child is hurt while there. Our child was bitten multiple times without a report. Kids will be kids, but we just want to know if someing happened, so we unfortunately had to stop using the service. Teachers either are missing significant behavior issues or are not reporting problems, both of which are concerning. In general good place with age appropriate toys. There is usually always space available and the teachers are very nice. The prices are reasonable and make a two hour short notice date great. read more

This place is a dream come true for moms like me (and dads, too) who hate having to look for babysitters. In fact, Adventure Kids is like the most dependable babysitter EVER. They are open 7 days a week during very convenient hours and offer specials. The kids love going, because there is a great indoor playscape, video games for older children, fun arts and crafts, etc. They will feed them for you if you purchase a meal or send one with your child. The employees all seem to interact well with the kids, and the manager is super nice! We don't have a need for full time day care but do need some overlap, date night, and sanity coverage periodically. Both my kids love coming to this place and the staff remembers me and my kids. You can also use Spot On checkins to rack up free lunches and discounts. The hourly rate is seriously reasonable and all the care staff are always smiling and ready for us when we come. They are great about checking diapers often and take very good care of my kids. I always pick up happy babies. They are also open late on the weekends and even offer Sunday hours. Whether I need gap coverage or just want to grocery shop without a whiny 7 year old and and grabby 2 year old, Adventure Kids saves the day. read more
