I heard about adventure kids and I thought it would be great for my kids to go here make friends and have fun. I really liked the concept and I was super excited about trying it out. I took my daughter this past Tuesday. I noticed when I picked her up there were so many teachers in the facility with the kids and they also have cameras which made me feel comfortable that there is enough supervision to go around. When we were on our way home she started telling me a bigger kid tried to punch her, I called adventure kids in Plano and asked what happened. They said that they did not see anything happen and that they report any incidents and notify the parents. Trusting them, I took my daughter and son back yesterday. When I picked them up my son immediately said that he was punched by two other kids and fell over. I wasn't notified about this but the staff advised me he was upset over a video game and having to share but he told me he was upset because two kids hurt him. My son doesn't lie or make stuff up and my daughter said she saw it happen as well. I asked one of the staff what happened and she said no one saw that happen but reinstated the fact he was upset about a video game. How does a place have cameras, a lot of staff and have no idea of kids getting hurt and being bullied? I feel like they DO know what happened but they just don't want to say anything to me. They obviously can go back and look at the recording from the camera to see what transpired. I just don't get a good feeling about this place, I feel like they lie and tried to hide things which has ruined my trust and has jeopardized my children's safety. I paid money to ensure they will be SAFE, HAPPY and SUPERVISED when I am not there and when I picked them up my 4 year old said she was being bullied and was threatened by a kid and told her he was going to hit her and my 6 year old was hit by two kids and fell over!!! I just can't seem to understand how a place that has all of these teachers and cameras for this kind of stuff to go unnoticed and uncommunicated!! read more

If you want the proper care for your kids especially your infants / toddler this isn't the place !!! Kids are being yelled at by staff and toddlers are being put into a room with lack of staff and no proper training. I do not recommend this place if your child doesn't have a voice or is special needs. Some of the special needs kids are ignored and not comfort in case they're in need of help or wanting something. Your kids shoes will be also be misplaced ! It's completely unorganized and it has the potential to be better with proper training !!! read more

We love sending our daughter here. She's always well taken care of and very happy to go. The staff is always professional and kind and willing to answer any questions I have or address any concerns. We have used this location of Adventure Kids several times and have been very pleased each time. When you're not from the area, it can be really hard to find someone you trust to bring in your home to watch your kids. And if you're lucky enough to to find a sitter, they may not always be available. Solution?--Adventure Kids. Since it is a childcare facility, we know that they have to go through certification and licensing and all...like any daycare facility. Since it is a business, you know that there will be enough adults there to supervise. The workers there are friendly and communicated thoroughly how our daughter did/what she liked to do. They even provide snacks and dinner if you forget to pack food! I highly recommend this place! (Our baby is just over 1 year...so she couldn't provide me any feedback on her experience! Dear mother-of-a-4-month-old; your life is going to change. They go from tiny babies to active toddlers in no time. I agree its not the best place for a 4 month old. She should probably be home with someone you trust. But we love that our 1 year old has a place to go and we can have a dinner, or I can have a pedicure, and we don't have to plan far in advance. The big kids have a ton of activities. The little ones (less than 18 mo) have their own room away from the big kids. Our daycare closes all the time on "holidays" when we have to work. Now we don't have to take vacation days when we don't want to. Its awesome. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I worry about sending my son there when he turns 18 months and is the room with the big kids. Some older kid could seriously hurt him. The kids run wild there. Of course, when he is bigger that place will have 5 stars in my opinion - no doubt. read more

I dropped off my nephew here, the place was clean and appeared safe. It had been a few years since his last visit so I had to update his paperwork on his parents' behalf and that process went seamlessly. The lady at the front desk was polite, friendly and professional which helped ease my mind. My nephew was excited to get in so that was a bonus too. My only concern would be that two staff, including the receptionist could not possibly be enough for the number of kids they had there. However, they may have had staff on break or out of sight, I didn't think to ask until after I was at work. This place is a god send! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! My son always has a fresh diaper & they even put him in his pajamas before I pick him up. We usually visit the Dallas location off of Forest Lane, but decided to try this one this time. It seemed just as nice. Staff super friendly as always. My daughter said this one wasn't as fun as the Forest Lane location. I prefer the other because they have a Yelp check in offer which saves 5 bucks. The location of this one isn't as convenient because it's in a congested shopping center on Preston Road in Plano. Overall, she had a nice stay and we will probably come again. Pricing is roughly $8 an hour, and you have to join for the year. read more

I could not seem to get a tour to view this facility. I came on a Saturday and was told it was too busy. I called and asked what time is best and was told to come after 6pm and I did and got there and they said it was dinner time and again I could not get a tour. How do you answer phones, check people in/out if you don't have a few minutes to show people the place? That makes me think that there may not be enough staff to watch my child at All times. I went to Kiddin Around not too far from this place and they happily showed me around and explained everything thoroughly and was very friendly unlike this business. It is also a bit cheaper. I have very mixed feelings about this kid droppoff place. I absolutely love the convenience and ability to get out and have a date with my wife without having to wrangle up a babysitter on short notice. The staff is very nice, friendly, etc. They also feed the kids which is nice. So in that respect, I love the place. My review is tempered by the input from my kids. They also love the place, but here are the issues which cause a lower review. It's not a very clean place. Understandable when you have a lot of kids coming and going. I wish it was cleaner. Another complaint is the bathrooms. There are no locks on the doors. They can be walked in on without notice because of no locks. People can see into the restroom and a lack of privacy screens makes it worse. So basically my kids feel very uncomfortable going to the restroom. We also have multiple kids so it can be expensive (more expensive than a babysitter). All in all, we keep using adventure kids because of the convenience. I just wish they would address some of these concerns. read more

I would not suggest leaving an infant here, but my 15 month old does well. He loves playing with the other kids and they are a MILLION times better than other hourly daycares in the area. They have some structure and seem to be clean. I've used them 4 times and my son is always clean, fed, and changed. I've had problems at Kidding Around and this place is like night and day. I'd like to give it a 3.5 star... It's clean, great staff, etc. My daughter went as an infant, being the youngest of 3. Most of the time she was cleaned well, but twice they gave her to me with a pooped diaper, so I had to ask them to change her. She got Bronchiolitis from here once and got very, very ill but bounced back up, thankfully--this was the only place I would sometimes use, no nanny, not exposed to anyone else. I stopped taking her as an infant for a while. As soon as she became a toddler, she LOVED, LOVED coming here and had fun but I noticed her getting very aggressive at home with her older siblings, so I sent them with her to watch what was going on, and they both told me that kids would just walk up and grab my toddler's toys and no one ever noticed or corrected it, so she learned to defend herself in frustration, and started yelling a lot at home every time another child approached her. So, we stopped coming here and started a Montessori preschool. Problem solved almost overnight. This is good for the older kids but would love to see Adventure Kids implement a way of someone always helping kids not to be taken advantage of by older ones, and to correct the ones that do take things or push or bother the younger kiddos. This can easily be done by hiring someone with an education major or a Montessori experienced person! Thanks for this great place, that is the only thing lacking, but the rest is great.... read more

After touring this facility and the Kiddin Around facility, we went with Kiddin Around for our infant. Adventure Kids looked like it had more fun stuff for the older kids, but the staff seemed super busy. Our tour felt really rushed, like nobody had time for us. (We went on a Saturday early afternoon). On the other hand, Kiddin Around gave us a relaxed tour. We saw kids getting one-on-one attention, and several staff members were available to talk to us. read more

I have had my Daughter come to this location for years now. They have been a big part of her life. My Wife's work schedule and mines are really hectic sometimes but thank goodness for Adventure kids because we can always count on them. Not to mention they have really helped my daughter in a lot of ways, for example potty training,relationship building , and how to interact with other children. She was more then ready when it was time to go to Pre-K. I received a lot of compliments from her teacher on how she was advanced in so many ways, And Adventure Kids had everything to do with that. The biggest thing that I have to say now that my daughter is older is all the fun activities there always doing. They constantly have themed parties and they always send her with awesome and cute crafts. I definitely recommend this play care to all parents in search of a good place to drop off their children. read more

We took our our 2-yr old son and were very unimpressed w/the people we interacted with at the front - both behind the desk and in the childcare area. They didn't even seem to know how to check him in - something they do all day every day. It didn't inspire convidence. Also there was a recent report from a visit from the State licensing agency on the bulletin board. It said there was a finding that they did not have background checks on 6 current employees, something that is clearly stated that they do on their website. We never went back and I couldn't recommend it to anyone. Preston-Forest location is a little better (3 out of 5). read more

I love this place. My son now 17 months old. Has been going here since he was 6 weeks old. The majority of the time my mom watches him. On those days i cant find a sitter, they always have an open door. It seems like. When my son was young they held him a lot and interacted with him. I loved that on my breaks i could come in and rock him or play with him. It gave me peace of mind. Every time i walked in a caregiver was always holding him. He was changed frequently. My son has never developed a rash when being cared by them. They are very aware of what the other children are up to. They make sure all kids are playing safely. Ive never heard anyone raise their voice. When putting children in time out they are always calm and stay calm through the whole thing. My niece for example can be a handful. When shes attending she decides to remember the rules. So she wont be put in time out. Cause other wise she might loose a turn choosing what game to play. I will always send my children there if i cant find a relative to watch them. read more

I left my 7 month old daughter here for an hour and a half and when I went to pick her up they started handing over two other kids to me!! They never checked my ID or any other security measures. Being a drop in daycare, they really need to adhere to these security protocols. I shudder at the thought that someone could have paid $15 to take my daughter from me with no questions asked. read more
