I was very anxious about leaving my daughter for the first time at daycare because she's been with me since day 1. I researched thoroughly before going with Willow Bend. I was impressed with their lack of DFPS history and the fact that the main teachers have been there for many years. I like that staff knows me and my daughter by name and she seems to enjoy going there. It's close by my job which is convenient as well. We absolutely love WBLC! After having my second child, I knew I'd have to go back to work when she was 6 months old, and unfortunately my mom would not be able to watch her (as she did for my older child). I was verrrrry hesitant to send my baby to daycare, but right from the beginning, WBLC was perfect. Not only do they care individually for each child, but the staff is incredibly responsive to their charges' needs. Every single day I was greeted by someone in a friendly manner (even with the early hour of drop off!), and every day my daughter comes home smiling. Since the beginning, I have felt completely at ease while my baby is there, and given my anxious nature, that is definitely quite a feat! They have monthly parent events, they send home lovely artwork, they have well-structured schedules, they clearly love the kids--all of these reasons (and more) are why after a year of care, we cannot recommend the place enough. We're pretty happy with this daycare thus far. We moved from a larger chain to this daycare and haven't noticed a decline in service. The teachers are all friendly, and my son seems to like them. While the parent-teacher conferences don't happen very often, they quite are organized and include a portfolio review of work by the student over time so you can see their progress. The daycare has recently migrated from an older mobile app to a newer one. I hope the center continues to adopt some of the features in the new app, like document storage, messaging, and payments. They currently provide paper statements; I'd like to see a move to a digital format if possible. I'd like to see an improvement in messaging. Email works well, but it would be great to talk directly with the teachers. I believe most messaging goes through the manager first. There isn't anything inherently wrong with that setup, but I'm not sure my last message made it to the teacher in its entirety as the teacher misunderstood it. read more

My son has been attending WBLC since April of 2021 and recently we enrolled our infant daughter. I can honestly say that this daycare is amazing. We have good and bad days when we drop off our kids in the morning (depending on their morning moods), but we always pick them up with a smile. I always hear my son singing various songs he learned at daycare and I think it's the sweetest. I enjoy seeing my kids enjoy the events the school organizes such as Easter egg hunt, Halloween parade, thanksgiving day and Christmas. We've had a great experience at Willow Bend Learning Center for almost 1 year now. Our daughter started at 12 weeks and is approaching her first birthday. Our experience in the infant A and B rooms has been consistently positive, and the teachers in the room provide attentive care to her. She's happy, well adjusted, and has hit all of her developmental milestones on target. We're pleased with the communication that we receive from the administration and staff. Roonu, Betty and Annie know us and our daughter, and care about her well-being. My infant was able to get in finally (all the babies born during pandemic are like wait listed!) and at first I was only hesitant because there were some hiccups in my onboarding. But come to find out it was just a simple error and was not the fault of the center. Any who, my son has been there a month and he seems very happy, active, and well cared for. It's been a great experience, they have thorough processes that make it seamless to get babies in and out. You can use the app to ask questions. I just wish they posted pictures more, but that's the mommy in me. also, they don't have live surveillance so that may be the only downfall! This is a wonderful place to bring your children. My infant who is almost one has been at Willow Bend since he was 4 months old. Most parents know it is very hard to leave your baby to go to work, but the teachers and admin here have really put my mind at ease. He is safe, taken care of, fed, played with, and cared for. When I take him out of his car seat to bring him in, he knows where he is and he starts giving those little baby laughs, and opens his arms to let the teachers take him in. I love that they involve the families in celebrating everything from Holidays such as Halloween and Christmas to even the seasons like winter and spring. Even as an infant he brought home little crafts with handprints and finger prints. Even the babies join in the fun of celebrations. They have a curriculum for all the kids, even infants. The older kids look happy to go in the school when I drop him off him the mornings, and the staff greets the parents by name and are extremely personable. I would keep my baby here until he's in school, but unfortunately we've moved and I'll have to place him somewhere else. My husband and I are sad and just hope that we'll be able to find another place that is just as caring for our child as WillowBend. read more

Both of my sons attended Willow Bend from 5 months to 2 years. The nursery staff is amazing - loving, nurturing and communicative. There were a few times that they lost a bottle or we came home with someone else's dirty clothes, but I think in a chaotic room with infants, that's going to happen every now and then as there are a LOT of article to keep up with! The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 out of 5 is that they moved my youngest son from infant to toddler before he was ready. I was uncomfortable with it, asked for him to stay in infant longer, but was told that I needed to talk to the Director who wasn't available until that afternoon. After we spoke, which she is extremely friendly, they realized that they had the incorrect birth date on my son's paperwork and were moving him due to the incorrect age. Once they realized the error, they moved him back down. I just wish that it wasn't only based on a number (or his age) and that they did what was best for the child and what the child was ready for. We absolutely love the teachers and staff at Willow Bend and it was a great daycare for our children. They have great family friendly events and really strive to celebrate all kinds of holidays and teach the children about various cultures. The center is great, with lots of playrooms, playgrounds and more. They keep it clean, as much as I think you can with lots of little cute germ buckets running around daily! Most of the staff have been there for a long time and we had the same caregivers for both our boys, which was nice. We ended up leaving to go somewhere closer to home strictly because of the long commute. I know my son will miss his teachers at WBLC! read more

First of all, let me say that two of my children attended this school. The oldest was merely a student at their summer camps, the youngest went there from shortly after birth until he started kindergarten. The kids do learn, it is somewhat affordable, and is was close to our home. That's the reason for the single star....but that's it. The staff is less than adequate. Only a couple of the original starting crew remain from when we first began. With the high turnover comes a lot of different personalities. Many of them seem very upset to be there, and are not very tolerant of children. We had three great teachers; Betty, Maria and Amy. Other than that, it was a battle. The owner is not interested in the parent experience, at all. She is absolutely arrogant and rude...and tends to appoint herself as the person who will judge your parenting, both inside and outside of the facility. She also makes sure to let you know if you don't hold her in a manner that she approves of. Once again, very arrogant. Be careful on the pricing as well. It seems very affordable when you start, but you'll soon notice that they plan functions for the children to attend during normal work hours. If you choose for your child to participate, there will be an additional charge. If you choose not to have your child participate, you must leave work ok the middle of the day to pick him/her up. That's right...they can stay in for an additional charge, or they can be picked up. That's after you have paid for the standard week of care. And dear lord, don't ask Runu (owner) about her policies, as you will then have a target on your back. She will find any reason to lecture you, send your child home, or worse. And if you give notice that you'll be removing your child in a period of time (as required), she will even call you in the middle of the day to come pickup your child or have the authorities notified if you can't get there in time. There are much better options out there. I recommend using one of them, and not committing to Willow Bend Learning Center. If the owner is that unstable during her everyday running of the business, who knows when that will become a bigger problem for you. read more

My daughter had attended this daycare for 2 years until she graduated for pre-K. She loved going to Willow Bend and she loved the teachers. She still miss them a lot and wanted to go back to class. My experience as a Former employee at WBLC was great. I Truly enjoyed my CO workers, management, my amazing and wonderful children and their parents! I have have bee in childcare for over 30 years but thos was my first time working in a childcare facility that used Montessori curriculum WOW what an amazing and awesome way to teach children. The owner took great pride in keeping the materials, and other supplies available for us to have to teach the children! Not only have they lost one payment but TWO! Honestly awful service. The first time they lost it was due to it "not having a name" which was super random because my name never went on any of my money orders? This most recent one they lost or something, maybe someone even pocketed it, but it was a payment of 465$ and now they're saying they do not have it and need it paid in full in the next two days plus the original payment! You guys I work 30 hours a week at 11$ an hour, how am I going to afford that? Long story short I will not be returning. Oh where do I begin? I have to designate a star but they really deserve 0/5 stars. I'm a first time mom and this center was successful at making me believe they had my son's best interest at heart, but sadly, I was mistaken. For the one week my son was enrolled, a teacher managed to snap at me for asking a simple question at drop off which was: Should I nurse him or will you be able to feed him? After escalating the issue, the executive director admittedly called this poor lady back to work after being out sick. Two major issues with that: 1. My son actually got sick from her premature return. 2. How am I to know she's not taking her frustrations out on the kids because she doesn't want to be there because clearly she took a few out on me? These teachers are over worked and it shows. The kids were visibly upset that entire week my child was enrolled because they where either waiting to be fed or wet. They are pushing the limits with the ratios by combining classes but selling you that your child will be in a separate class. Also, their policy states that all deposits will be refunded on the 10th of the following month and they have challenges following their own policy. I went by (as I instructed in email that I would pick up my deposit) on the 11th and Ms Betty appeared confused when I asked for my deposit. I allowed 5 days then called to inquire about the deposit. The director said that and Betty went to mail it butt the post office was busy. BUSY?? I was never too BUSY to make payments. The mail was not post marked until the 17th and I did not receive it until the 19th. I emailed the director to confirm receipt and express my frustration and responded in a very petty way. She took that as an opportunity to engage in a back and worth with me and used words like "as I told you" and "the post office was busy" etc....very unprofessional. I do not recommend!! read more

She has even learned a tiny bit of sign language and can seem to understand both English and Spanish! We are planning a second child and I will happily put both of my children into Willow Bend. Both of my daughters attended this school. When my oldest child first started here she was 9 months old. She moved classrooms very quickly because of how quickly she was maturing and learning things, so when I had my second daughter I enrolled her here when she was about a year old. Everything about this school was amazing at first. After about 2 years my oldest was graduated to the class right before pre-k class and she did pretty good the first couple of months. After that I was constantly receiving notes from the teacher and even the director saying that my child was having behavior problems. Every time there was a different teacher in the classroom my daughter did just fine and had no problems, but as soon as her teacher was back she was having problems again. I had a couple of meetings with the director and I kept telling her that Ms. Florence was the problem, but she didn't want to listen to me. The last meeting I had with the director she told me that I needed to get help from a counselor or her doctor or she would be dismissed from the school. As much money as I was paying she should have been more open to me. She is a director of a daycare and not a counselor or therapist and she has no right to tell me my child is the problem when it was the teacher. As soon as she told me that I immediately pulled both of my girls out of this daycare and enrolled them at another daycare center where we have had no problems what so ever. Also when I enrolled my girls this center had no violations and when I checked a couple of years later they had violations for expired milk, dented food cans. They are simple fixes, but they should have been on top of these things. Don't waste your money here read more

My daughter has been attending Willow Bend for the last 5 months, she started out in infant A and is now in Infant B. I can't say enough about how great the staff for the infant program are. They are so attentive, kind, nurturing, and caring towards my daughter and our family. Ms. Betty who is in charge of the infant program is truly a gem, she is so knowledgeable and really manages the program perfectly in my opinion. We have had such a great experience with Ms. Betty, Ms. Hiawatha, Ms. Sophelia and all of the other staff members who care for my daughter. I feel like they take the time to engage us, and tell us about her day and I always feel as if I am in the know about her daily activities and behavior. Ms. Neke who runs the daily operation, does a fantastic job of communicating with parents, and is always very present in the classrooms which I know I appreciate. I would definitely recommend Willow Bend to any family who is considering putting their infant or child in day care. This daycare started off as a caring and wonderful establishment. Unfortunately as time went on it steadily declined. My daughter attended for a few years. There was a revolving door of teachers, disorganization in the classrooms, and a feeling of hostility towards the staff from the assistant director. My daughter now attends a Primrose daycare and is much happier. I pulled my child after an incident where another child was nearly struck down by a teacher on the playground. This teacher had numerous complaints regarding her behavior towards the young children. However the complaints were not taken into account. When you take into account a less than stellar curriculum, horrible classroom management, poor leadership, and safety concerns regarding teachers, I think that is enough to reconsider placing your child in this establishment. read more

Our son started at Willow Bend Learning Center when he was 8 weeks old. The main reasons I chose Willow Bend over other daycares I looked at are: 1) it smelled nice (other daycares smelled like dirty diapers), 2) NO state violations EVER in the history of the school (13 years now, I think) - this is important, ask every daycare you're interested in about state violations or how you can look up the information. 3) the babies in the infant room weren't crying all the time - their needs were met and they were happy babies. 4) the price was lower than area competition Here's what I've learned since: 1) the administrators are awesome and know every child & parent by name, 2) the teachers are caring and patient and really connect with every child, 3) the kids are actually learning (the preschoolers know their multiplication tables!!!), 4) they host great parties and events in the backyard/playground area (bouncy house, train ride, pony ride, petting zoo, various games, face painting...the kids LOVE it!) My husband and I are moving due to a new job, and the hardest part of leaving will be leaving Willow Bend Learning Center. They've taken such great care of our son, and it will be really hard for any other day care to even come close to providing us with the same services. This school has definitely exemplified high quality staff as well as learning for my two children that attend there. I have received nothing but praises of how well my kids have matured and grown from family back home that go months at a time seeing my children and they come back with something new everytime to showcase to the family of what they have learned in school. The staff are very in tune with matters if anything was to take place and effectively solving the problem head on first hand. I believe the entire school knows whom my children are even if they are not in their classrooms and i definitely appreciate the urgency on the behalf of willowbend learning center when it comes to my children. I feel now that i don't have a care in the world with leaving my kids while i attend work. I found WBLC through care.com, and I am so thankful. My 6 yr old twins just attended for summer camp. They are so organized, and have a full schedule throughout the week. They do splash days, go to the movies every week, have at least 2 other field trips each week (ex. Lego Land, Adventure Landing, etc.), the kids bake, do science experiments, play sports, origami, kids yoga, ballroom dancing and etiquette! The meals are all homemade, and staff is amazing!! My kids will be going there next summer too! Their specialty is a daycare, but they are so much more! The director, Roonu Rizavi, is absolutely wonderful and makes you feel so welcome. She personally gave us the tour when we came to check it out, and addressed everything I could possibly have a question about. Ms. Nicki, who also works in the office is quick to stop what she is doing to answer your questions, or give your child a good bye hug. I just can't say enough. read more

My four-year old has attended Willow Bend for almost four years, and she's very happy there. They do a great job with curriculum; she learns SO much. They basically potty-trained her and have moved us through all the transitions (i.e. pacifier, bottles, etc.) with almost no effort on our part! They really do a great job. She loves her teachers and has just graduated out of Ms. Savi's Senior Pre-School class. She loved Ms. Savi! Ms. Savi did a wonderful job of communicating with us, and she really worked hard to make a connection with and understand our daughter, whose personality can be quite challenging. Our daughter also loves the assistant director, Ms. Neke. Ms. Neke has been very helpful recently with some separation anxiety and has been letting our daughter walk with her in the mornings to check classrooms - she loves to be a helper! This was the worst experience we have ever had. My daughter attended Willow Bend for 2 months and she hated it. I spoke with the staff and the director about several issues and they were unwilling to work on the problems and continued to make matters worse. A year later we are still finding erroneous charges on our bank statements from Willow Bend and it takes 2-3 weeks of disputing to get the charges resolved. AttEEnded this school for almost a year before being kicked out for supposed aggressive behavior that he never exhibited at home or before being moved to the senior preschool class. He has been at a new center and it is like bringing home a totally different child. It pulls at my heart that I made the wrong decision to allow my son to stay as long as he did. IHis toddler and Jr pre-k experience was great as ms Shanita and Ms Savi were amazing. My problem is the moment he was moved to Sr preschool the problems started. The first week In his new class I picked him up coughing and wheezing and no one from the school called to notify my child simply couldn't breathe. When I reported it to the girl up front I was told the teachers don't know or aren't trained to watch or know asthma symptoms?? And that the new teacher wasn't aware of his asthma so she would make sure to inform. I should have pulled h I'm out then because I find it hard to believe you can't notice a child can't breathe. I Called To Advise I Had Found A New Center For Him At 2:30 and when I arrived around 5:20 the first thing my child says to me is he doesn't feel good. The room with about 8 or 9 3-year Olds was kind of eerie quiet so I could hear him wheezing. How the teacher could make any excuse not to have heard it is beyond me. I understand that he would not be attending anymore and may been difficult to deal with but that was no reason to let my child suffer when 1.)
