Things went from good to worse depending on the behavior of the girl that would bully her and bully other students. The last time I talked about this to the school principal, she said that we needed to have "grace" for the girl that was a bully. After three years of this going on, that was the expectation. So my daughter could be bullied but the expectation for her was to have "grace" give the bully the "opportunity to learn from it". This knowing that other parents had complained about the same kid for several times. Now, she's at a school that holds the students accountable and has an actual policy against bullying and does not tolerate it.

The teachers she had (Mrs. Sherwood and Mrs. Khalid) were very kind, communicative, and involved. We trusted them totally and completely, and felt safe sending our daughter to school every day despite her having multiple severe allergies. Unfortunately, once we transitioned to the elementary level, that level of communication and care declined. We were assured that her next guides would be updated with all the info about her allergies as well as where she was academically. She was assigned to the Redbud classroom, and the guides had no clue of her history. Through the next 3 years we experienced a pattern of forgetfulness, poor communication, and resistance to collaboration. When my daughter entered first grade she was advancing ahead in some areas, and by third grade she was behind, even in subjects she loved and was obsessed with. Myself and a few other parents felt as if our children were not getting individualized care (the whole point of Montessori), and there was a common theme of kids needing help and not receiving it. There were also continuous patterns of the guides not knowing what's going on with our children socially. Which compared to primary care, we didn't even have to ask questions. They knew our children as if they were their own. On top of this, the school identifies as a nut-free school, but it is not enforced once you get to elementary. We had multiple Incidences where my daughter was exposed to life threatening allergens in her own classroom, and the guides seemingly forgot she was allergic. There was no structured process for monitoring food brought in for class celebrations or snacks, and there was zero empathy or acknowledgement in their errors. As a parent of a child with serious allergies, this was incredibly alarming. We enrolled my daughter before they broke ground for the new building. We had a fantastic experience and had excellent communication with all the staff. My opinion is the school has grown too quickly without putting the right systems and oversight in place to support that growth. There appears to be a serious gap in consistency, accountability, and responsiveness... especially in the elementary program. Ultimately, there wasn't much effort in addressing what happened, so we had to make the heartbreaking decision to withdraw our daughter mid-year because we could no longer trust that her safety and emotional well-being would be protected. I share this review not out of anger, but from a deep sense of responsibility to other families, especially those with children who have health concerns. Our hope is that by sharing our experience, the school will reflect and take steps toward improving its standards of care, communication, and follow-through.

Ms Mary is also very sweet . This school goes over and beyond at making sure the kids are exposed to various activities ( ex science day , ballet , Spanish class , tots day . For my daughter's graduation they put on a wonderful performance . All the teachers were involved and you can tell the teachers care . Ms. Nelly had a huge impact on my daughter's development . We will be so sad on our daughter's last day of school . Thank you to all the staff there for caring for my kids over the past few years !

Our four-year-old son was enrolled at Challenger School for less than 30 days before we were told,…read moreat 4:30 p.m. on a Friday, that he was no longer welcome. We were informed at enrollment that the school follows a three-strike policy for behavioral concerns. That policy was not followed. After one suspension and without any documented intervention plan, structured support, or reasonable adjustment period, we were asked to withdraw him. At four years old, children are still developing impulse control and self-regulation. If there were concerns about attention or impulsivity, we expected documented observations, a formal meeting, a written plan, and time to measure progress. None of that occurred. There was no behavior plan, no measurable goals, and no clear effort to support our child before removal became the solution. Most concerning was how these matters were handled. Conversations about our son's behavior were conducted by the campus director outside her office at the front desk, in a public area where families were entering and leaving. Sensitive discussions about a preschool-aged child should not take place in open, high-traffic spaces. We were told an "investigation" had occurred, yet no findings were ever shared. When we contacted the regional director to address our concerns, we received no response whatsoever. Financially, we were left with a $100 application fee, a $500 enrollment deposit, over $400 in required uniforms, a full first-month tuition payment, and an additional prorated tuition charge exceeding the standard monthly fee by more than $700. All of this for less than 30 days of attendance and no meaningful attempt at structured support. I will say that the two teachers in the 4's class were exceptional. They were warm, professional, and clearly dedicated to their students. Unfortunately, that is the only positive aspect of our experience. We enrolled in good faith expecting professionalism, consistency, and a developmentally appropriate environment. Instead, our preschool-aged child was removed without being given a fair opportunity to adjust. Families considering this school should ask detailed questions about how behavioral concerns are documented, how interventions are implemented, and how leadership handles sensitive matters. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this school.

I used to work at TLC, and I loved how the program is set up. My kids are in love with their teachers--Ms. Lilly and Ms. Roycee. They are fed so well throughout the day and have learned so much already in just 3 months! My kids come home telling me words they have learned in Spanish or ASL. They get to do technology, have a fun play area called town square, a gym with fun equipment, and multiple play areas for outside time. Even on weekends my son asks if he can go back to school the next day. TLC's hours are awesome and even offer parent's night out! I am happy we chose to come back to TLC after my time off work. We've homeschooled our son since he was 2 so we were very particular about where he goes whenever my wife has to work from the office. Well I visited the place and I absolutely loved it. My son officially now has community of little starseeds. Our host Emani also comes from a homeschool background so she could really relate to our questions and concerns.
