Whale watching whale watching whale watching! I booked this tour after our tour with another company was canceled earlier in the week and I couldn't get ahold of them to reschedule. I found Adventure X for the day we were departing since our flight didn't depart until 9:30pm. Figured we'd make the most of the day. We booked the 1030 tour, which was perfect! Finding the boat was a challenge even with the instructions. Luckily we left early for that exact reason. The area we parked was right by the bathroom. Saw a sea turtle right at the dock and lots of other fun sea creatures in the rocks while waiting. This tour is next level. The boat is smaller and seats kind of cramped. Luckily there were only about 10 people on this tour so we could spread out. Took a minute to find whales, but one we did the Captain was all over it. Thought it was awesome to see an all woman crew too. Lord the snacks they provided were fantastic! We hadn't eaten breakfast, so this worked out awesome. They had fresh bear claws, pineapple, juices. They were really on top of things. As we were heading in a baby whale started breaching nonstop. They turn around for us so we could watch. Absolutely a 5 star experience!! read more

What an experience!! From start to finish the crew was great. Riley, Garrett and Max (Gabe) were all amazing. They took care of us and made sure we saw Mantas. Definitely recommend them. The water was the warmest they said it's been all year but once you're in it for awhile, it does start to get chilly. This experience is definitely a 5 star activity. Getting to see "Kamala" gliding the water in search of her meal was amazing. Also, the kindness of the crew, the information offered and all questions answered gave us a greater understanding of the rays we were going to meet. The crew cared for everyone, even a sight impaired participant, and they cared for the mantas when they stopped people from a different group trying to dive down to touch these gentle giants. All of that was so AMAZING!!! However, the admin piece of this company can use some help. I tried calling to get more information about what was needed and only got a voicemail without a return call. I finally received an informational email - the day AFTER we went on this trip. So to help them out: -wear a swimsuit, take a towel and maybe a jacket for the return boat ride. -all shoes will be collected before you board the boat. -they have a storage space for all backpacks and bags. Our family took the 10:30 whale watching tour on Christmas Day 2024. The crew was amazing, very friendly and helpful. We started the tour close to the boat dock and saw a couple humpbacks and our first tail view. The captain heard from another vessel that Whales were active a ways away so we headed out. On the way we stopped when we say two more whales lingering and both of them showed their tails as they dove. Once we got to the suggested area we waited patiently to see three whales swimming with a dolphin. We hung out for a while enjoying the whales, dolphins and flying fish. Our captain informed us that we would be almost 30 minutes late getting back because she allowed us to stay and enjoy ourselves. On our way back to shore we were blessed with an amazing view of a large breaching whale. We've been whale watching a few times in California and posted great reviews, but this is the best whale tour we've ever been a part of. We highly recommend Adventure X Boat Tours! read more

Used this company for our Manta Ray diving experience and it was superb! We had a large group of about 12 of us including adults, senior citizens, and children. Their staff was more than accommodating, the kind of service I would expect from a high-end resort. They were so good to my 4 year old who got nervous with how close Jolene got to us that they took her off to the side and explained how gentle these creatures were. She didn't come back to the float but they allowed her to hang out with grandma on the boat. After seeing quite a bit of whale activity from the shore, I booked a whale watching tour with Adventure X Boat Tours at midnight the night before an 8am boat and it was just wonderful.
