She also showed us with side by side training to save us money since we had a few people and since we need to do it on our own a few days later and provided us with a helpful step by step guide and pictures. I would say that price wise they are a little higher than others BUT totally worth it. These situations are never easy and to have highly responsive (phone, text, email) team, super kind and friendly people, and calming personas makes a huge difference with both kids and adults of all ages! Dr. Caplan is very thorough and friendly. I like that he always goes the extra mile and never just dismisses concerns as nothing without further investigation. The staff know us when we walk in the door and I would reccomend this practice to anyone with small children. The only thing I think they need is an after-hours call service that is free to parents (they have one that is 20$). That way nervous new parents have someone to turn to in the middle of the night when they have questions or their child is running a fever and they aren't sure if it can wait until the next day.

His website shows he does both internal approach, an incision made behind the lower eyelid, and the external approach, an incision made outside the lower eyelid that allows the muscle of the lower eyelid to be tightened. At the time I made an appointment, I told his office staff I was looking for the best options between these surgeries. However, during 10-minute consultation, Dr Kevin Scott told me I was not a candidate for the internal approach, and I should go for the external approach, but he does not do external type of surgeries. I got a short recommendation on a piece of paper. That's it. So, if you need cosmetic plastic surgery for your eyes, think twice if Dr Kevis Scott is the right surgeon for you.

Dr. Osorio checked her ears and said that she had a very minor infection that did not require antibiotics (she did not write a prescription). In total, Dr. Osorio spent about 3-4 minutes with my daughter. However, she billed us for a Level 4 office visit, which requires a moderate level of Medical Decision Making and/or at least 30-39 minutes of time spent on the patient's care. None of the symptoms, tests, diagnoses, or amount of time justified billing this office visit as Level 4. I contacted CMA's billing department to ask for an explanation of why this visit was billed as Level 4 rather than Level 3 (which is how sick visits are normally billed). According to Kim and Leanne, the billing process is subjective and medical providers have complete discretion on how to bill office visits. Erika was rude and hostile (she hung up on me) and Dr. Osorio refused to speak with me despite numerous requests. I filed a complaint with the Virginia Department of Health Professions and I am considering other legal options.
