Skilled surgeon and excellent staff! About 6 months ago I decided to have surgery on my eyelids as well as on the bags under my eyes. I went to 2 plastic surgeons - both came highly recommended. Both of the surgeons recommended that I see Dr. Scott. One of the surgeons had actually sent his wife to see Dr. Scott! Upon my initial meeting with Dr. Scott I found that he listened to and addressed each one of my concerns. He discussed all of my options and, after answering every single one of my questions, helped me to decide which procedure would best. When I asked about having my upper eyelids lifted, his recommendation was that I did not need to have an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, nor did I need the "sanding" as I did not have many wrinkles. I appreciated that he wasn't trying to perform several unnecessary procedures! 1 month later I decided to have the lower lid blepharoplasty done. He and his staff thoroughly reviewed what I needed to do before and after the surgery to have the best results, as well as what to expect. I felt that I was well-prepared to have the procedure done. A few days after the surgery I had mild redness to one of my eyes. I called the office and they said that Dr. Scott would see me that afternoon. Unfortunately I was working and couldn't take the appointment. No problem! He asked me to send him a picture of my eye. An hour or two later Dr. Scott called me personally and discussed what needed to be done. 5 months later I can truly say that I am extremely pleased with the results! I ran into old co-workers. One asked if I had just come back from vacation. The other commented that I looked younger than the last time that she had seen me! In short, Dr. Kevin Scott is an extremely-skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner! I had Bell's Palsy about 30 years ago which left my right eye partially closed. Over the years I had several surgeries to that eye (vision related) which further traumatized the eye and caused the eye to close such that it restricted my vision. On the recommendation of two of my other doctors I went to see Dr. Scott to determine if a surgery could "open the eye." I should mention that because of the other eye surgeries this was not a normal "eye lid surgery." The staff was professional and courteous/friendly, Dr. Scott took his time during the initial consultation explaining all aspects of the surgery and made me very comfortable about the procedure, My surgery was performed on May 3, 2018 and immediately after the surgery my right eye was opened up to the point that it was comparable to my left eye (normal in appearance). In my case I had no black and blue bruising and minimal swelling/pain and saw an immediate improvement both vision wise and cosmetically. Both my wife and I were amazed at the result. I wish I had done this sooner. I was impressed by Dr. Scott and the office staff and equally impressed by the hospital staff and surgery experience. While I didn't like those eye soaks and having to wear gloves to bed to keep myself from scratching my cheeks, the overall experience was excellent. The office staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating to my several calls for clarification on the instructions. We really appreciated the supplies that I was given as I left Fair Oaks and also when I returned to the office. That certainly makes it easier on the patient and that way you know that you have exactly what you will be need for the recovery period. Fair Oaks Hospital checked me in on time, and everything went very well. Staff explained all details, especially in the OR room. I was very impressed as I know hospitals can get a bad rap. Dr. Scott is a very good doctor and this experience has been excellent. I appreciate his thorough explanations and follow up. I went to Dr. Scott to get the bags under my eyes removed. I rarely right a reviews, however my experience was so fantastic that I feel the need to do so. From the very beginning, Dr. Scott was very kind, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. He put all my apprehensions at ease and explained the procedure thoroughly. His attention to detail is what really impressed me. His office staff is equally as attentive. Everyone was very kind and professional. His nurse is amazing. I hated the bags under my eyes so went in for a consultation with Dr. Scott. I instantly loved him and his team. Dr. Scott has a warm personality and very dry sense of humor plus is an amazing surgeon. I immediately scheduled my surgery after meeting Dr. Scott. I really liked that Dr. Scott only operates on eyes and that he was an ophthalmologist before specializing in plastic surgery, he completed a thorough eye exam to ensure that my eyes were healthy enough to proceed. I'm a 70 year old woman and was tired of people asking me if I was tired or sick. My optometrist recommended that I have a consultation with Dr. Scott to see if he could help. After having the cosmetic consult , we both decided that a conservative approach with Restylane filler would be best for me. I have very deep "tear troughs" that accentuate dark circles. I had the procedure. I was so afraid that it would hurt but Dr. Scott applied a numbing cream before injecting the filler and I didn't feel a thing! My follow up appointment is in one week. I am extremely pleased with the upper and lower eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing of the skin beneath my eyes, performed by Dr. Scott. In addition, he removed the bags of skin beneath my eyes. Dr. Scott was recommended to me by my optometrist. It was one of the best recommendations that I've ever received. His staff is professional, kind, and of good humor. Dr. Scott's focus was on me, my eyes, and an outcome with which I'd be happy. He took time to explain the issue, how it could be treated, what I would have to do, and everything he would do. Dr. Scott recently performed a bilateral upper eyelid ptosis repair, upper eyelid laser blepharoplasty and fractional laser resurfacing on my eyes and after one week, the bruising and swelling were greatly diminished. My pain level was minimal and the only thing I took was regular Tylenol. After one week of wet compresses and a bag of frozen peas over my eyes to minimize the swelling, I am well on the road to recovery.
