We paid $500 per child for intake assessments, only to discover there was no immediate availability for actual instruction. Months later, when a teacher was finally assigned, we were told she was not the right fit and lacked expertise in the area our child needed most--ELA. Their communication was inconsistent, their promises misleading, and overall, the experience felt transactional rather than student-centered. Despite the polished sales pitch, our experience reflected a lack of professionalism, accountability, and genuine concern for our child's education. Be wary of vague assurances and shifting explanations--they always seemed to have an excuse but never a real solution. Ultimately, we found a far better alternative--a certified teacher at a local elementary school who specializes in ELA and comes to our home for a quarter of the $150 per hour E3 charges. Since working with her, our son has made tremendous progress and grown by leaps and bounds in his ELA skills. Save your time, money, and frustration--look elsewhere for real, caring, and qualified support.

Each program is designed to aid children who need assistance in developing and growing their social skills, and our son has been making leaps and bounds since starting here! Our son has Asperger's syndrome, and Anna has been wonderful in working with him. We did all of our homework, and her credentials all check out (which is something that we always do before working with a service provider.) Both of our boys come for LEGO club, and both of them look forward to it each week, even though we get up fairly early each Saturday to get there. LEGO club proved to be an excellent starting point for the boys, and allowed them to really grow comfortable in the setting before we got the PEERS program set up for our eldest. Now, to the details: the facility is absolutely beautiful. Build inside a dual use location in Carlsbad, the downstairs is set up for the program. Tastefully decorated, it is fun, light, and airy, with plenty of slightly subdued colors that look delightful without being overwhelming. There are plenty of toys, and the collection of LEGO's is constantly expanding. There is a good mix of special needs and typical children, which allows for real interactions that are all supervised and directed by Anna and her staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accepting. We truly could not be happier! Would I recommend her to family and friends? Absolutely, and have already gone out of my way to do so. If you have a child that is struggling with social interactions, if you have a child who needs a boost, if you have a child who just doesn't quite get it, this is the place to go. We have already seen honest-to-goodness measurable improvements (which as an aside is something that is also done through the PEERS program.) In summary, this program is excellent and Anna makes it all seem so easy. And, if I'm honest, I've probably picked up a pointer or two for applying in my own life as well.

Multi-step directions like "put the blue hammer between the red block and the green book" was overwhelming to him, but he improved in this skill after going through an online program that targeted this (and other processing tasks). He pays better attention now, and his grammar, spelling, etc. have also improved. My son isn't the easiest kid to work with, and Lynda was very patient with him. He also took a liking to her right away. The other teacher who worked with him was also excellent - and was a certified teacher, not a typical "aide" a school might hire. Thanks Lynda (and staff) for helping get our son back on track in his Reading Comprehension skills!

Hands down, The Therapeutic Learning Center is one of the greatest assets to educational support in San Diego County. We are extremely grateful to have them teach and work with our son.

Not only has Susan helped him learn how to better manage and calm his behaviors, but she has also worked with him on important everyday skills. His writing has improved, he's become more aware of how to manage his time, and he's better able to stay on task with his daily responsibilities. The therapist is patient, supportive, and really understands how to connect with him in a way that builds confidence and motivation. We've seen positive changes not just during sessions, but at home and in school as well. We're very grateful for the progress he's made and would highly recommend this therapist to any family navigating similar challenges.

My son was diagnosed…read morewith ADHD at 17--later than most, which meant we missed the window for early intervention. By that point, he was struggling significantly with slow processing speed, impulsivity, anxiety, low self-esteem, confidence issues, and even periods of depression. His quality of life had suffered, and he had real difficulty with independent learning, following multi-step directions, deductive reasoning, focus, and just believing in his own abilities. As a truly smart kid with a complicated neurodivergent brain, he was often frustrated that his potential wasn't translating into everyday success. Since starting this program, we have seen enormous, life-changing improvements. It truly has been a game-changer for him. The program uses targeted methods to jump-start information processing, strengthen thinking skills, and integrate various centers and pathways in the brain. This has helped him become a more confident, independent learner--skills that are setting him up for success not just in school, but in every aspect of his life. The results speak for themselves: His anxiety and impulsivity have decreased dramatically. He can now successfully follow through with multi-step directions and tasks that used to overwhelm him. His grades have improved from failing to C's, B's, and even A's. Most importantly, his confidence has soared, his self-esteem has grown, and he is genuinely happy again. I feel like I have my happy boy back, and I am so excited about his future. This program has given him tools to thrive despite his ADHD, and I am incredibly grateful. A huge part of this success is due to Susan's dedication and passion. She genuinely cares about her students far beyond the therapy sessions. She goes above and beyond to support their growth and truly wants to see them succeed. Her communication with me has been outstanding--she keeps me informed after nearly every session about areas of progress and where we can focus more at home. She has even included me in sessions so I can better support him outside of therapy. That level of partnership and care has made all the difference. If your child is struggling with ADHD, slow processing, executive functioning challenges, or the emotional side effects that often come with it, I strongly encourage you to consider this program. It has transformed our lives, and I believe it can do the same for others. Thank you, Susan, from the bottom of my heart--for your expertise, your compassion, and for helping my son rediscover his confidence and joy.
