We paid $500 per child for intake assessments, only to discover there was no immediate availability for actual instruction. Months later, when a teacher was finally assigned, we were told she was not the right fit and lacked expertise in the area our child needed most--ELA. Their communication was inconsistent, their promises misleading, and overall, the experience felt transactional rather than student-centered. Despite the polished sales pitch, our experience reflected a lack of professionalism, accountability, and genuine concern for our child's education. Be wary of vague assurances and shifting explanations--they always seemed to have an excuse but never a real solution. Ultimately, we found a far better alternative--a certified teacher at a local elementary school who specializes in ELA and comes to our home for a quarter of the $150 per hour E3 charges. Since working with her, our son has made tremendous progress and grown by leaps and bounds in his ELA skills. Save your time, money, and frustration--look elsewhere for real, caring, and qualified support.

It's great to have a trusted ally in her corner, working with her each week to get organized and prepare for future projects. I've noticed it's helped her become less stressed as the weekend comes to a close and the school week looms and more confident. So glad we found e3!

Unfortunately I didn't have a laptop with a webcam handy. I called every business and/or library and none of them had computers to rent with cams. I called the learning center and they allowed me to utilize there computer and webcam in a private room free of charge. I still can't believe how kind and accommodating they were? I can only imagine this is how they treat all the parents and children that need the learning center. Thanks again for your kindness. Phil

My son is very complicated to say the least. He is ASD, TBI, severe auditory and visual processing, high sensory integration, Irlens Syndrome, extreme anxiety, dyslexia and does not trust anyone. We have not been successful anywhere until here at ELC. Lynda got him in every way and I was taken back. I didn't have to tell her his needs or what we have found that worked for him. She told me and I kept saying yep that's it!!!! She understands how auditory and visual processing affects the ability to learn. They know when to push but not to much. They are looking at body language, fidgeting, behaviors to make sure he is okay. They work with you and your child not against you. One saying that really sticks with me is when Lynda said to me," we are not going to force him to learn our way there are over 20 ways he can learn we just need to figure out which one works best for him." As you can tell I highly, highly recommend ELC. I have referred other parents that have been so frustrated with the access to learning and all live me for recommending ELC. After you speak with Lynda you will understand it all !!!!

This is the first I am writing a…read morereview on Yelp because I think it is the best way to contribute my support to this Kumon center. The friendly staff and Mrs. Marie are working hard during the Pandemic to keep the Kumon center(s) running and to keep their students safe and receiving the best services as much as possible. They have to create the virtual meets, offer in-person (with 6 ft distancing layout) service according to CDC guidelines when we are allowed to go back to the center in person. The center has to thin out the tables and chairs, offering the take-home packages, and many more good features that I may not see them all. But the main point is that my kids feel more confident to talk about Math and Reading subjects with their friends. Honestly, most kids do not like to do extra work after school, but as a parent I know what is best for my kids. Your kids will appreciate your devotion and your insightful care. Thank you Mrs. Marie and the Kumon staff very much for your time and efforts.

Each program is designed to aid children who need assistance in developing and growing their social skills, and our son has been making leaps and bounds since starting here! Our son has Asperger's syndrome, and Anna has been wonderful in working with him. We did all of our homework, and her credentials all check out (which is something that we always do before working with a service provider.) Both of our boys come for LEGO club, and both of them look forward to it each week, even though we get up fairly early each Saturday to get there. LEGO club proved to be an excellent starting point for the boys, and allowed them to really grow comfortable in the setting before we got the PEERS program set up for our eldest. Now, to the details: the facility is absolutely beautiful. Build inside a dual use location in Carlsbad, the downstairs is set up for the program. Tastefully decorated, it is fun, light, and airy, with plenty of slightly subdued colors that look delightful without being overwhelming. There are plenty of toys, and the collection of LEGO's is constantly expanding. There is a good mix of special needs and typical children, which allows for real interactions that are all supervised and directed by Anna and her staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accepting. We truly could not be happier! Would I recommend her to family and friends? Absolutely, and have already gone out of my way to do so. If you have a child that is struggling with social interactions, if you have a child who needs a boost, if you have a child who just doesn't quite get it, this is the place to go. We have already seen honest-to-goodness measurable improvements (which as an aside is something that is also done through the PEERS program.) In summary, this program is excellent and Anna makes it all seem so easy. And, if I'm honest, I've probably picked up a pointer or two for applying in my own life as well.
