WHY I LOVE MY SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR!!!!! I have CRPS. I…read morenever heard of this condition until I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago. I lived in tremendous pain for 5 years. I went from one orthopedic surgeon to the next, and the next and the next.... for those 5 years. Not one surgeon seemly understood why I could pick the worst pain in my foot. All the doctors I saw agreed my foot was in terrible condition, with multiple SERIOUS problems. They all confirmed I needed multiple surgery. But that was not possible. Every surgeon claimed that they could not preform all the surgeries on everything that was wrong with my foot. They stated, "a bomb went off in my foot", "If I fixed everything that was wrong with your foot it would take 12 hours on the operating table", If I repair everything you will never be able to walk again". The question that all the surgeon presented to me was, "where doe it hurt the most"? I couldn't answer that, My entire foot hurt, every where, all the time, and differently. It could change multiple times a day. The only thing that I knew to be true was the pain was constant, and at time unbearable. The pain was like giving birth to my feet almost every day. I seriously was losing hope. I cried a lot! I finally went to UTSW to see Dr.Dane Wukich, the head of Orthopedics. He knew what was wrong. He referred me to Dr. Bhatla. That is where my story changes. I was told about the Abbott spinal cord stimulator. At first, I was so afraid to get the device. I looked on line and saw the reviews. I scared myself out of it, but honestly the pain was so intense it was like, "What do I have to lose?" I just jumped in with all my fears and did it a year and a half ago. I have never been so happy I did something in my entire life. My pain was manageable after I decided to take a leap of blind faith. I still have pain, but not like it was. I have never had a pain level of a 9 in my feet again after I got the device. I have referred 4 of my friends that lived with high levels of daily pain. They all know me well and saw the difference in my life. Everyone of the got the implant. They all are very happy with the results. They all have different results, but they all have less, and one friend has NO MORE PAIN. I seriously can not understand why anyone living with chronic pain does not want a stimulator. It works better than pain medication. I know. I truly know! I have to adjust my stimulator at times and it knocks out pain better than any medication can.

Not upfront about cost. Unnecessary testing they try to…read morehold patients responsible for. A UDS over the counter is $20 at Walgreens for a pack of 4. They sent me a bill for over $300 for a UDS I did not need. I was 7 months pregnant referred by my chiropractor when adjustments, acupuncture, hot and cold applications were not working. I was informed when in the exam room that I needed to provide a UDS. However, I was not informed how expensive this test was going to be at all! Had I been informed about the crazy cost, I would have gone somewhere else. When relaying this to the office, they continued to use blanket statements and tell me there was a medical need for this. How? Patient comes in requesting imaging and localized steroids if possible. Patient denies request for any controlled substances and is actively pregnant. Dr. is unable to do any interventions except PT referral. I have no issues doing a UDS. But 700??? That is a conversation you need to disclose to patients. That is unacceptable and poor business practice. Destiny who originally made my appointment was superb. Nursing staff was kind. NP or PA under original physician on my second appointment was fantastic. HOWEVER, office as a whole and provider very unhappy with how they handle business.

Avoid this place. You will be a number and a check, not a patient. The Keller office manager is…read morethe worst at customer service. No one answers phones or returns phone calls. They send wrong data to my insurance making it hard to get procedures approved. It is impossible to talk to a person there. The worst customer service of any medical practice I have ever dealt with. I showed up today, ten minutes early. Was put in a room, nurse came and did blood pressure and weight. Then I waited for a hour only to have the receptionist come in and say the doctor won't see me. This is after they mis-schedule and canceled my last for appointments.

How Do You Request To see your Dr. For a visit instead of your regular PT or "NP"?.. But The…read morereceptionist tells you "Dr. Batlah is only seeing new patients an those coming in for injections".? Where They do that at?.. An proceeds to appoint me to my NP, as well as tell Me who I can and Can't See?.. The Red Head Receptionist is always on this type of time There.. I've been going to this office for 2 1/2yrs. And This woman has continually disrespected me in front of ppl.. I been feeling the racial tension from day one, putting people before me, little smart remarks, there were a few times I'm sitting in the front waiting area for 2hrs past my appointment time to be seen?.. What she say, "Oh Mr. Davis I forgot you where here". Meanwhile she's sending ppl that came after me back to be seen?.. hmm?.. So, yeah Very Questionable actions.. I have never been disrespectful to anybody in that office.. I've been nothing but respectful and cordial.. At first I was like, maybe it's just a bad day?.. as time has passed I have gained to see just what it is.. I'm not going to any Dr's office to be judged or mistreated.. I'm coming seeking help for my issues that I have.. I didn't ask to be in this position, it just happened to me.. Yet I Feel, I'm being handled and judged like I misuse my meds because of a couple dirty UA's seeking releaf using a cannabinoid ointment because my PT won't give me a pain medication that works?.. How this Work?.. an mind you I haven't had a bad UA Since my first three visits 2yrs ago, other than alcohol that I had a day before from my sister's birthday party?.. somebody make this make since?..

The office Manager Mary should not be able to work in this field, she is rude, disrespectful and has no care for anyone! I had to drive an hour and half for appointment because I wanted to do the right thing. I just had surgery over the weekend and I have lung cancer and I needed medicine changed because I was taken was making me sick and was the reason I had to have surgery so I drove to the office and tried to give the doctor the medicine I was told to give it to Kroger so Kroger would not take it back so they said I would have to drive back to the office after I tried to give it back to them that morning and wouldn't take it so now I am without medicine for the 5th day after major surgery and cancer because I did the right thing. Mary told me to shut up or she will hang up on me because she doesn't care that I tried to give the medicine to them this morning or I am without medicine... It's sad world when the people you trust with your life doesn't care!
