Firstly, the foot soak water was way too hot. Then he didn't apply enough massage lotion (and you can tell it's just lotion, not actual massage oil). He started applying too light of pressure even though I wrote in the book I like level 6 pressure. Then his massage technique was just really bad. Very fast, short, haphazard movements. The way you handle cleaning a hen or chicken to roast for dinner. You can tell he was not professionally trained. Trained massage would be slow, relaxing , with even pressure and rhythm. His massage was awful. Then for my calves it felt more like he was rubbing my leg for heat, applying no pressure to the actual muscles. They use hot stone which I hated because it was just more random rubbing that did nothing to massage my muscles nor relax me. I usually hate hot stone because it interrupts the flow of the massage, but there was NO flow in this massage so that didn't matter. I would recommend to the owner of this facility to properly train their workers. There was also a weird jingle sound like a tune from an ice cream truck that rang a few times that I had to ask him to turn off. The prices are really good and now I know why. They make no investment in their workers. I'm disappointed and am just going to book a session at a professional place. I got the pricing over the phone and decided I wanted to do 60 min. Once I get in the room, she convinced me to do 90 min. It was $90. So the owner comes in and starts my massage. It was felt therapeutic since I asked for hard. 5 minutes in she asked me where I worked. I told her where I worked and she told me to bring friends & I'll get a discount. She continued to ask me about my benefits at work & I felt very uncomfortable answering. It also defeats the purpose of getting a massage. About 15 min in the phone starts ringing and she stepped out without saying excuse me. She comes back and tells me she has a group coming in soon and that she needs to get the rooms ready. Well, after that, she leaves and different masseuse comes in. This person is a sweet lady and does her job very well. I had her for about 30 minutes without interruptions and the massage was great. After 30 min the group shows up and owner comes in and switches back with the masseuse. I told her I liked her and would prefer her instead. The owner said that I'd had to come back next time to schedule a massage with her. Are you kidding me?!? I quietly lay there uncomfortably as she's massaging me. The whole time I could hear her labored breathing since she was running all over the place trying to get the other group situated. I told her that she didn't even massage my legs so she said fine and added an extra 10 minutes to the massage. After the time was up I show up to the register to pay. The owner gave me a full water bottle and gave me about 20 business cards and says to give it to all my coworkers. I give this place 2 stars because the lady gave me a water bottle and when I was getting a massage, it was good. They had horrible bedside manner and the way she ran her business was very unorganized. She meant well, but her meaning well did not make up for the interruptions and questions about my job.
