Narrated everything they were doing as they did it. The quality of care was exceptional. When it came time for Dr Meyer to give me the IV sedation, I felt ready and comforted. Single-handedly the best dental experience I've ever had. Recovery has been going really well, too. I was told what to expect and when. I called with an anxiety induced concern and they were able to bring me in within minutes to check the extraction site(s). Everything was fine but they never made me feel bad for calling. I feel important, cared about and valued there. I will recommend Dr Meyer and her team, the whole Ruckman office really, to anyone needing an oral surgeon. Don't even bother going anywhere else!

I got the appointment quickly. I thought it would be a long way out. I checked in with the friendly staff. I was taken back to the room where the dental assistant explained the procedure in detail to me. Asked a few questions about my health history that hadn't been on the questionnaire I had filled out online, took my blood pressure and told me the doctor would be in shortly. When Dr. Myer came in she introduced herself, was quite friendly and we joked about a few things, She explained a few more things. Then we got busy. Shots were in, a little waiting for the numbness and she and the assistants came in and within 15 minutes the teeth were out. It was amazing! I didn't feel anything, not pinching, not pressure, nothing. She is very skillful and very patient oriented. She talks to throughout letting you know what she is doing. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist or staff! The one thing that did surprise me was that even though I have excellent insurance that would pay for the entire procedure, I was asked to pay for half up front. It will take 2-3 weeks for them to reimburse me. Living on SS that is a hard pill to swallow especially since it came as a surprise as I was checking out.

Went back in June 2026, was told I now needed root canal for same tooth, I opted to just have them pull it. Especially after finding out they were holding a $600 credit on my account, since insurance came thru and paid on my crown originally. Not happy that they held on to a large credit, especially when we withdrew that from our HSA plan and could have been paying other medical bills with it. ​We are now one day away from July 2026 and still haven't received our credit. I called today, spoke with billing, was told that they couldn't send me my credit until insurance pays for last visit,(June) I don't think so Sir, that credit was from January 2026. They then said they would send a email to the appropriate person to get our refund in the mail but it probably wouldn't happen this week. Good grief! I used to work in medical billing and there's no excuse for this. Be better Afdent billing!

My recollection of my daughter's experience more than 20 years ago just came up. She was three or…read morefour at that time and was referred to Dr. Creech to have her cavities filled. Dr. Creech tried to give her sedatives before filling in her cavities. The procedure was unsuccessful, as my daughter went absolutely hysterical. A relative watched her while the receptionist sent me to the treatment room for Dr. Creech to explain what had happened. He didn't even show up even after 30 or 40 minutes. Finally, we gave up because it was unbearable to have my daughter behave uncontrollably because of the sedative. We were all angry by then. Later, we went to another pediatric dentist, and he successfully filled in her cavities. If your child needs cavities filled, look for another dental group.

I was told Dr. Wright was the pediatric doctor and would only see my son on a Tuesday or Thursday. That's fine. I told the front staff when I called that he's in tremendous pain and I want to get him in as soon as possible. She let me know that the soonest available was a month and a half out, but that's just a consultation visit and they won't do any fillings or fixing. I practically begged that since we have to wait I would like them to actually address some of the cavities that first appointment. She spoke with the doctor and said they could do that. I spent that time researching and doing everything in my mama power to heal my son at home as holistically as I could. What I did was working and my sons pain went from a 10 to an occasional 5. Thank God! When we arrived to our appointment (May 5) and the staff wasn't exactly happy or encouraging of my son at his first appointment. Wright eventually comes in his room, doesn't greet my son, doesn't strike up conversation with him or even slightly attempt to make him feel comfortable for his first appointment (which I made known). Wright took the X-ray, looked in his mouth (baby teeth) and told me his top teeth have several cavities and his bottom do not- they're perfect. "In my 30 years I can't say I have seen this before." I mentioned that my son is ready today to have Wright work on them and he so kindly (lol) said that he can't because he has to go to lunch. I said I would really like it to be addressed as I had requested when I made the appointment originally and he had been in pain so it only makes sense we do even a little bit today. "Sorry it's my lunch you can schedule at the front desk". I asked Wright if I could show him what I have been doing at home and if he had any additional suggestions. I brought up hydroxyapatite tooth paste, supplements, oil pulling, xylitol, etc. His words immediately were "Oh that's all anecdotal. That's anecdotal." So basically I get a doctor laughing in my face, a mom who just wants her baby to feel better, has done her own research, desperate to affect change while admitting I am not a dentist and I need his help. He left the room, without a word, never said 'good job buddy' to my kid and I said "Oh... just walk out and not say anything? Strange.." I brushed it off and while my son was in the prize room I over heard Dr Wright discussing down the hall with another doctor about my sons appointment. I heard "Yeah she said she's using hydroxyapatite and I told her that's anecdotal it's just your opinion haha!!" I grabbed my son, went to the front desk and Wright walked past me so I stopped him. I asked him if he found it appropriate to gossip about a patient while they're still in the building. If he thought that his behavior would be perceived as professional to a mom that just over heard him. I asked him why he couldn't have just waited til I left the building. His response was hilarious and a lie. "Oh I was talking about a different patient with dry mouth." And for the first time he actually looks at my son in the face, gives him a high five (because he was embarrassed and called out) and says if we need any anti biotic then we can call in the office. *insert eye roll* Needless to say, I cancelled all future appointments and was happy I got a follow up text to leave a review. Whether or not you agree with any holistic approach to dental work, do your research and find a dentist that isn't creepy, doesn't have horrible bed side manner, actually acts like he enjoys working with children and doesn't sh*t talk you the second he walks out of the room. 0/10 would not recommend.

I showed up and didn't have to wait long. They fitted me with a temporary crown and sent in a casting for a new permanent one. I was able to enjoy my Christmas dinner with no problems. Had an appointment within 2 weeks to install the permanent crown. Very pleased with it. And Brandi was able to work with my insurance to get me the best cost.
