I had good care while I was in the office but now that I'm done with my care I cannot get my refunded for what I paid upfront (over $2K). I have waited 5 weeks. I talked to them last week, after I was cut off 7 times and they promised it by today. It did not come. Today I was cut off 5x and had to leave a message that said they will answer the next business day. The dentists are good. The office itself is run terrible and I no longer trust them. read more

The wait time at this office is ridiculous, the amount of time you sit in the chair waiting on procedures to be done is obnoxious. The dentist doesn't stay in your room. They do one thing, leave, come back later, do another thing, leave, come back later. And the very last straw for me is the appallingly pompous attitude of Guy Moore. He treated me terribly twice, without cause. The office staff never seem to be the same and a lot of times cleanings have to be rescheduled because staff are sick or some other reason but i am almost sure turnover rate is super high due to Guy Moore's attitude. Cannot reasonably recommend Aegis to anyone. I am only leaving a review here since its positive reviews in part convinced me to go. I went for a walk in appointment ended up having two fillings done. I asked before if they took my insurance with a specific coverage and after I arrived they said they did. I get seen and get a pre-treatment bill which matched my expected coverage. Get the work done and after I finished, they gave me a totally different bill which essentially was my out of network coverage. They then tell me they never have had the coverage but I am expected to cover the rest. Once I left, I realized they had made mistakes on both fillings. One had a sharp edge which was shredding my floss. The other had an open contact. Both are things they could have realized if the dentist had actually taken a look. However he left immediately after removing the material from the tooth and did not come back. I went in and got the sharp edge fixed and the second filling entirely redone. Now there is a sharp edge on the top of the new filling which again will need to be fixed. Finally, before treatment they tried to pitch me on a credit card to cover the costs. Incredibly scummy. One pro is that the staff were pretty nice throughout the process. Overall, they have deceptive billing practices, and do poor and inattentive work. I would not recommend anybody coming to Aegis. read more

Dr. Moore and his staff are amazing. I had a emergency with a wisdom tooth and was in a great deal of pain that only increased for about a week. I had never been to Aegis before, but saw they accepted walk-ins. After a slight wait, which is only to be expected as a walk-in, I was very impressed with the treatment I received. Everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and had the upmost concern for my overall wellbeing. The treatment I recieved was of the highest standard and was done in a timely manner. I would recommend Dr. Moore and his staff to anyone and any future work I may need will be under their care. read more

My wife was having problems with her teeth and we were close to going to Florida for the winter. We consulted with Aegis and the assure us that they could fit her with false teeth without issues before we left. after the procedure she notice that there was a broken tooth left in that was never removed. It was causing her problems. We went back and the dentist made no attempt to take it out just made a adjustment to the dentures and sent us off. After getting to Florida and she still couldn't use her dentures we found a dentist. They told us that there is not only a tooth left but also a root left and there was no way that she would ever wear her teeth like this. because of the root we had to go to a oral surgeon and he told us the same thing. But the dentist in Goshen didn't know this? just sent us away with full knowledge that we couldn't return. so 3 months later, 20 pounds of weight loss due to being able to only eat soup and soft foods for 3 month, going through all the pain and suffering all over of oral surgery, we have paid $2400 for oral surgery, $750 for teeth lining to fit and another $2500 pending to get this right so she can use her teeth. This is after paying Aegis $7000 to do this correctly. All because we Trusted Aegis Dental. we have sent copies of X-rays, what the dentist in Florida was recommending, copies of the invoices we have been paying and offered them the opportunity to talk to our Florida dentist on this. How has Aegis responded? By ignoring my emails and calls to meet with them on this issue. If you use them and don't have issues, your fine, but when they mess up your mouth, well, you've paid and they don't care. Use this dental office at your own risk. read more

This is the first time I've gotten my teeth cleaned and haven't had an aching mouth afterwards! The hygienist was so gentle with my teeth and was very informative about what she was doing and why. She gave me a good report about my dental health when another dental clinic a few years ago told me exactly the opposite and tried to convince me I needed to buy special things and receive special extra treatments. I love that my experience at Aegis today was so straightforward and honest with no attempts to sell me anything extra or get me to schedule an additional, unnecessary treatment. read more

Got a dental implant a few days ago. And I really appreciated how easy it was. I personally wanted local Anastasia only. Professionally done and only a little bit of pain, which lots of sleep and healing helped. Things went really smooth. A while ago, they changed out four mercury fillings for composite. It was quick and painless (except there was a little pain after chewing Buffalo Wild Wings on 3 fresh new fillings...but that was my fault). I highly recommend Aegis. read more

Amazingly wonderful experience. This dental office is efficient and economical. The staff is friendly and service oriented and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this office for your dental needs. I am a truck driver and was in need of emergency care. They gladly took me in immediately. They educated me and offered to fix my horribly decayed mouth at a very reasonable price. UPDATE: I'm downgrading Aegis Dental Group from 5 stars to 1 star. The initial service experience was great. I remained as a patient at Aegis Dental Group. However, things quickly went downhill. They filled a cavity and neglected to file off additional filling that overlapped beyond the tooth. Another tooth that Aegis filled became inflamed, for which they had to perform an emergency root canal. The inflammation may or may not have been directly their fault. Perhaps I waited too long? Or maybe they just drilled a little too deep (it was a young dentist that performed the procedure - maybe he was inexperienced?). No way of knowing. I felt that Aegis Dental Group tended to pressure sell some of my next procedures, some of which I felt were unnecessary and overpriced. However, they didn't give me enough information to make an informed decision. I consulted with a different dentist, which confirmed my suspicions. But the part that was the most disappointing of all was their customer service. They seemed very evasive and defensive even for minor issues or questions that I had. Getting a straight answer on anything was pure hell. After my experiences with Aegis Dental Group with the lack of good customer service, the cavity filling, the emergency root canal, the pressure selling, (and after receiving a second opinion) I decided to switch dentists. But the nightmare wasn't over yet. Aegis Dental Group owed me a $350 refund for services not yet rendered. From what I understand, state law gave them 10 days to provide that refund. That did not happen. Instead, I spent 3 months being sent around on wild goose chases trying to get my refund. Finally, I threatened a lawsuit. They called back that same day with my refund. Aegis Dental Group does not honor medical exemption. Which is a violation of the state of Indiana's Covid-19 mandates and this is also a violation of ADA federal law. They just losted my family and I, as customers today. My family and I have been customers of their's for ten years. I will never go back there again. Horrible experience, the hygienist broke a cleaning instrument in my mouth while doing a cleaning. I had a tooth pulled and a nerve was hit when doing the numbing shot... 8 months later almost half of my tongue still has no feeling. I called 3 days after and was told the Dr. wanted to see me I went in was there for well over an hour after being called back and the Dr. never came in and saw me the staff informed me that I could wait but they weren't sure how long it would be. I left unhappy of course so they made me an apt with Dr. Moore who did not make the situation better. He expressed how he wasn't sure why I was upset and acted as if I was over reacting stating that you don't get an office as nice as that for mistreating patients. When I stated that I wanted the money back that I had paid in advance for my treatment plan they would not give me a refund even though it was sitting as a credit on my account. Dr. Moore stated that I could be his patient only and that he would credit my account to make up the bad experience and that has yet to be seen. Never have I saw Dr. Moore again nor was my account credited I ended up being obligated to finish my treatment plan at a place I wasn't comfortable at. Now that it's finished I will never go back nor would I recommend anyone else go there. Yes the staff is friendly but some of the hygienist are inexperienced and I personally think they did a horrible job at being empathetic with the patient. Very unprofessional of Dr. Moore to throw up how nice his office is when a patient is expressing a bad experience. I work in the medical field and would never treat a patient that way. read more

I first went there for a chipped tooth and although they promote walk-ins and emergencies they only accept them if there is an opening that day from someone canceling. It is also based on first come first serve so you could waste your whole day waiting for something and get nothing. This is however the the reason for this bad review. I recently was forced to reschedule a 6 month cleaning not once but twice which would of been fine if it was 1-3 weeks later but they were telling me 3+ months later. The other issue is if you switch to another dentist you have to fill out a form to transfer scans to your new dentist. This should take a week or less to do but for my case it took me 3 months and me reminding them to do it. While at new dentist they wanted to do new scans for my records and to look over everything. My insurance only pays for this every 3 years and I had this done with Aegis but they never sent this information over. This scan was 2 months after my request for transfering my records which should of been plenty of time for an organized dentist office to handle. Since the new dentist never recieved anything they believed that it was more than 3 years ago and was clear to rescan. It was not and I was charged $80 for the scan and took this to Aegis because they had still not sent the records over. Aegis stated that the other dentist office should of contacted them prior to rescanning and would not reimburse me for their lack of taking 5 minutes to send the records over. After talking with the office manager she stated that the new dentist should reinmburse me for their lack of contacting Aegis for my records that they failed to forward over. Anyone looking for a new dentist don't look here and if you are an exisiting patient I would look else where. read more

I had gone to Aegis for an emergency. They treated me well at first but then started to sell more procedures. I had agreed to some of them with the understanding that whatever my insurance did not cover, I would pay cash as I go. I did not want a running total and would pay for one procedure at a time. Everything was fine until they sent me a bill for $400. When I had explained that I was a pay as I go customer, they said insurance wouldn't cover some things dating back to 2012. I asked how this could happen and they could not tell me. She said I needed to pay or I will be sued. Needless to say, I will not be going back to them. read more

I want to rate this office at a zero or less. Summary: On 05/21/2021 = Dr. Carranza dismissed my pain and repeatedly accused me of grinding my teeth, that I had to wear a mouth guard when I sleep. After 2 bitewing x-rays and 1 panoramic film later...he concluded that I had a cavity in the tooth that wasn't bothering me / that wasn't in pain. Dr. Benifiel "confirmed" Carranza's diagnosis and they both agreed that the tooth must be pulled out by Dr. Moore. On 06/01/21, after another x-ray of another specific tooth "problem"', Dr. Moore extracted that wrong tooth. Sharp, remnant of the extracted tooth was protruding from my gum in addition to the pain that still remained. Couldn't schedule me till 09/01/2021. Went back to the office on 08/12/2021. Couldn't take the pain anymore - the pain that was never fixed since Day One. Spent sleepless nights and too many absences from work. I was told they couldn't take me but they will send me to their Warsaw office but they revoked that offer at the last minute, saying that Dr. Moore couldn't (or wouldn't) take me because of "short staffing". I found another dentist in South Bend. He took one look and discovered that my bridge (which I've been pointing to Aegis Dental Group where the pain was) was loose, the tooth under it was decayed, and he had to drain the abscess of the tooth in front of it in just one hour. He also fixed that sharp, remnant of the extracted tooth that was sticking out. It's pretty sad that 3 dentists at Aegis couldn't figure out what's going on with my pain for three months while it took only one dentist in South Bend to fix everything. To those who are reading this review, never go to Aegis. My experience in their office is a nightmare. read more

My father was treated very well. He wanted to get teeth pulled and dentures. They were 1/2 price of Aspen Dental. The staff was very friendly and nice. Also, there facilities was very modern. The hygienist was so kind and nice (Not like Aspen Dental) down the street. It is expensive having dental work but they worked with you on the price too. He ended up just getting some teeth pulled for now because of the cost. read more

I went to this dentist received a quote. i also went to other dentist had them give me a quote on the same procedure. They were the best priced so I went with them. I paid up front for the procedure 1300.00 (and some change but not sure of the exact amount). The procedure took serval visit at the very last visit I was told they had run in to some issues and it would be an additional 400.00. I was not happy but I paid them now six month later I have just received another bill in the mail for an additional 600.00. I received no extra treatment I am told I have no choice I either pay up or they will have their lawyer contact me. I asked what about the quote we both signed about how much they would charge. They told me at the bottom of that paper was a statement saying i agree to pay all charges. If I were you I would avoid this place they are crooked and dishonest. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST. They caused me both unnecessary emotional and physical trauma when I got my wisdom teeth removed here in February. I was allergic to their sedative, and they had no alternatives for me, so they only gave me nitrous oxide for the surgery. When I had a reaction to that, they delayed the procedure about an hour, and then went ahead with the removal with absolutely no sedatives whatsoever. They did not let any of my family members stay with me, even though I was screaming in pain for my mom. After the surgery, I couldn't chew anything and couldn't go to school for three weeks, and they wouldn't even give me a doctors note! I now have permanent numbness in my jaw, and the sockets from my wisdom teeth still hurt. Every time I tried to contact them to see what was wrong with my mouth, or what went wrong in the surgery, they just wrote me off and said that it was normal. Poor customer service, Poor variety of medications, and Poor surgeries. read more

They preapproved my Tricare insurance and treated me. There shouldn't have been any doubt, since my husband was on active duty in Iraq. Then it turned out that I hadn't been approved and I got a bill for more than $1100. Sadly, I am not an isolated incident. That aspect was totally mishandled. read more
