These dentists have been great to my sister for 12 years, so they get 5 stars. Along with that, a lot of good that came out of this one weekend I visited. What a blessing it would be to have my tooth pulled and be encouraged to have any hot beverage I want as long as it is soft and would not physically stab into my mouth. A lesson on the perfect moment to dissolve a blood clot is here to save the day. It turns out that writhing around in excruciating pain while your body phases through extreme temperatures for three days straight has its benefits. I'm here to list the trusting patient's firsthand advantages of a new self improvement plan, "Dry Socket": 1. Weight loss. 15 lbs gone, looks like. I don't think I'm dehydrated. This must be due to the extra deal I got with that overeating temptation being completely gone while feeling my body having no choice but to burn whatever calories are available. 2. No sexual, shopping, or sugary food temptations as the brain and body no longer allow these functions. 3. Extra appreciation for the simple things in life, like walking, laughing, feeling sunshine (although that one applies to everyone who lives in Elkhart), sleeping or staying awake when desired, and even expecting to be alive tomorrow. These are so much more appreciated!! 4. Awareness of how much impact a small piece of advice, be it by mistake or not, who even knows, can have on an individual. 5. Finally making it to the "Pollyanna" DVD, (this requires many DVDs) where you learn how to be thankful for punishments by default. 6. Closeness to family. When everyone is either wondering if you'll die or trying to convince you to take some antibiotics, which, of course, you feel you need due to your face, ear, head, and gum pain and pressure, you tend to communicate more and are grateful to see each other, even if only by text, for yet another day. 7. Your own mistakes are compounded for an extra-learning experience. I thought it was okay to torture myself by essentially replacing my bloodstream with raw garlic toxins by forcing myself to hold pieces in my gums all night and seeing that even the ones halfway across my mouth turned white in the morning. Sometimes, even with nice plants like garlic, things can be out of moderation, and that, combined with the fact that potentially decomposing flesh throughout your jaw, mouth, and sinus areas, especially combined with the possibility of having a flu virus, can be a problem. You also learn that "no heavy lifting for the rest of the day," which makes picking up a box of cheese seem innocent, is really just silly medical verbage for "absolutely nothing that ever so slightly raises the blood pressure for at least 48 hours" 8. This might sound like a negative, since it's a 'loss' of appreciation for something, but my coffee addiction may be gone, especially since it was the 'root' (literally) cause of experience. Even after the beginning, when I still didn't understand this, the heat and caffeine of subsequent drinks compounded the existing pain, solidifying the nurture psychological response to be deathly afraid of the black liquid. However, I have learned that I can still enjoy it as long as I rinse with salt water, so this may be a problem. 9. Considering that it is useful for both having medical issues which would cause the VA to help with anything dental whatsoever combined with transferring to your local VA at least a month in advance, and it is also useful to work for someone with dental insurance, the possibility for something like this occurring after using your remaining expense money could cause you to miss a crucial day of work in order to purchase something useful, such as, emergency antibiotics, car insurance in a state which puts 100% of the accident on you if you don't have insurance, and fuel to get back to work just once. 10. Prayers. Anything you think you haven't admitted to God that you aren't really sure is wrong or something you're unsure he's commanded you to do but you're just wanting to triple check? Well, you'll have a bit of extra time on your hands for this between unconsciousness and movie time when your eyeballs aren't hurting too much to function. Thanks, Stauffer Dental Associates for finally being the ones to rip out the annoying tooth which looked like it had an infection in the gums (the reason I wanted it out, but apparently a reason to not take it out until after the antibiotic - obviously prescribed in emergency by the patient's sister since the dentist's emergency number on the answering machine is inaudible - has been taken for a few days) It took me numerous people and dental offices to actually believe it needed taken out despite my discomfort for 2 years, so, jocosely, you guys are apparently one of the best 'standard' (non-IAOMT non-natural) dental offices I've visited from around the country!

And although this made me quite worried, Dr. Burns took all of the steps to minimize the chance of nerve damage. Also, I saw other reviews say that they received no reminders. This must have been fixed because I got text notifications leading up to my consultation and surgery, confirmation (C/YES) texts, and even a phone call before my surgery to ensure that I understood the steps that I needed to take beforehand.

They told me later that this is not the normal person they refer to, but this is the only guy with an opening. However, we drove al the way over to this place they said on top of our exam we had at our dentist who referred us, we also had to pay exam fees AGAIN (even though there was NO ADDITIONAL EXAM) on top of extraction fees to them as well?!! For 1 Tooth extraction that took LESS THAN 20 min and no additional exam, they charged us over $330 !!! AFDENT CHARGES $120-150 on the last molar they took out. My old dentist charged $80 We had no choice because of the pain and it being late in the day. If you can, save your money and find another place to go . Tell your dentist DO NOT SEND ME TO DANIEL BURNS. Tell them to send you to a decent place that does not extort their customers that are in pain and charge outrageous fees. Also, they rushed the appt and did not seem to care. All about the mullah and getting money fast, not the patient

They cancel appointments without notice or if you arrive less than 10 minutes late, "The Dr already left." was their excuse. I don't know how many times I have had to wait for more than 30 minutes to even be seen. Also, they also let me take me baby back with me to be with my 11-year-old. Then one day, it wasn't ok, so my 11-year-old had to make decisions she should not have. I have been getting text messages from them wanting me to schedule my oldest 2 kids their 6-month check-up. I called to schedule them an appointment just to be told, the doctor will only take them on call the day of because of my failure to show/call and tardiness. That's fine. I will find a facility that can keep staff and uphold appointments like I'm expected to do. Very friendly people. From the way they kept losing my info, my appointments and even to not answering their calls to get my amoxicillin prescription refilled so that i don't get an infection for my procedures. Not to mention the fact that the receptionists can be rude and seem exasperated for any questions does not make it a nice experience to schedule my care. And speaking of appointments and procedures, not only have they lost my appointments and information, but they failed to call me to tell me the dentist that was supposed to get my tooth removed today cancelled and I wasn't made aware till I got there and my ride had left. I am so utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with everything. I see so many kids and adults that come to that place and I feel sorry for them because I have no idea what kind of care they'll get. The amount of times they "forgot" about my appointments or information was ridiculous. The dental assistants can be kind and I have no qualms with them. But everything else let me down so bad. Every dental office outside of this one that I've been to have always been kind, treat their patients kindly, and keep an organized record of my info and appointments and let me know when they need to reschedule. This is the first dental office that I've been let down over and over again. I will be going to a different dentist from now on and will not be recommending this place to anyone I know.

You get a bill 8 months from the service date, ask for a break down and they say they cannot provide it, that I need to go to my insurance. This was frustrating, but turns out, after complaining about that, they can provide an itemized statement, furthermore after saying I need to have my insurance EOB in front of me before discussing what they see insurance paid for. Complete lack of understanding customer needs and questions and was rudely interrupted multiple times. Our first in office visit was our last. We canceled all appointments. They call us to this day once a week to once bi-weekly asking to confirm appointments we never made. It's a circus over there. A customer gets a 8 month old bill from Pippin dental, the EOB is filed away, so naturally I call the billing department to understand why the bill. They acted like I was dumb for not calling my insurance and dealing with them instead and instead of just being kind and helping. Literally ANY other dentist office is better than this place. ANYTHING and ANYONE is better than Pippin dental.

At first the office experience was pleasant, we went in for the new patient special for 125$ which comes with X-Ray/ cleaning and exam which I specifically asked for the X-Ray and both doctor and desk lady said they will do. COME TO FIND OUT AFTER 2 hours of calling they indeed did not do an X-Ray nor cleaning. I called and desk lady is very new to her job so I don't blame her but she gave me numerous of wrong information until I finally spoke to the manager and was told they can't do anything about it and was nice enough to offer us a free x-ray AFTER we already got the X-Ray done by the referred dentist due to the amount of wasted time talking to a untrained desk lady. I also asked them why wasn't my 4 year old get her x-ray and the manager answer was " she's too young" but yet offer me a free x-ray. THIS PLACE MAKE ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! Once again I don't blame the desk lady she is new but manager and doctor is very shady.
