Had serious issues, went to one place and not happy at all. Came to Aspen, explained what I thought I needed and from there appropriate actions were taken, agreement on plan reached. From the receptionist to the dentist everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. We left no subject until I was satisfied with the explanation. Dentist and Hygenist were very patient. Did follow up and teeth removed and healing dentures installed with details of what to do and not do. Follow up appointments set, was told to call if any issues arose prior to appointment. Had to call due to issues after swelling went down. This group is awesome!! Thank you Aspen for being professional and not shaming me for poor dental hygiene. read more

My autistic son, 26, has severe sensory issues regarding his mouth. He is totally disabled and therefore has Medicare and Medicaid. He needed a full mouth extraction and Aspen was the closest provider in network. Before we were allowed to even make an appointment for the surgery, we had to pay $5000. The day of surgery, a few hours before, I received a call cancelling the surgery with the reason given is that he is autistic. When I asked why they even made an appointment, I was told, and this is a direct quote "we didn't know." If you refuse to treat autistic people, why enroll in the panel that autistic people use? They were given all of his health information upfront. The autism was not a surprise, so yes they did know. Furthermore, balance billing Medicaid patients is illegal. I can't speak to quality of care, because care was refused. read more

I gave 2 stars because I was in and out in a fair amount of time, and the staff was pretty friendly. BUT. I went there because my previous dentist had retired, and I had a tooth that I thought was gonna fall out (injury related). The dentist looks at my X rays and tells me I'm going to need a bridge for it because it's definitely gonna fall out. I said I'll wait until it falls out then come back. Get to the scheduler, paid for my visit, and then started going over financing $5k for my bridge. I have great dental insurance. Then they wanted $2400 for a periodontal cleaning! That's WITH insurance! I asked if I could have some time to think about it and she pretty much said you have to pick something today. I went to another dentist and they said the tooth is fine, it will settle back in place. And got a cleaning for $400! I don't know why Aspen was price gouging so much. read more

Dentures primary authorized by insurance but they didn't pay now 2 years later I contacted insurance still not paid so now they hit me with a bill for $ 1500 now they sad if I make a small payment they would have doctor review it but when I tried to make what they call a small pmt they refused it. I have had the same dentist for over thirty years. the same year I retired he sold his business to Topping, who does not do Medicare. I had a tooth and filling break off and when I expanded my search on mileage, Aspen came up. With diligent searching I found a couple negative reviews but many more positive. I called several dentist to try to get in before waiting 2-4 weeks. Both Yani, the national corporate contact and Markie, the local Manager were the first pleasant ones I contacted that could get me in next day! Today, I had 2 extractions, 1/2 periodontal cleaning and a crown started. Most of which is covered by Medicare with Humana. Dr Chein and staff (Kierra,Leslie, Uli and again, Markie) were all fantastic! Never had so much work professionally, efficiently done even at my lifetime Dentist!! First time having Health Insurance, was finding a dentist. Went to Aspen for a 2:15 scheduled appointment, and sat in the lobby until 3, then was called back and took X-rays(quickly which was nice), then they set me in the back where I sat for another 2 hours, before the doctor finally came, ran through my X-rays in 10 mins, and sent me back to the lobby to "wait for scheduling" . It was now 5pm, so I just LEFT. 3 hours and 45 mins being there, 30 of which were with doctors. Disgusting! Don't bother calling me for scheduling! read more

I moved back to Goshen and have new insurance, lots of people told me not to go to Aspen Dental but I didn't listened cause my daughter and I are due for cleaning, the hygienist was too rough likes she in a rush, my daughter waited for me in the car while the same hygienist did my cleaning, she has too many errors and dropped the instrument on my face!! then they scheduled me for root canal and back bridge so I went back to get the preparation done, came home in so much pain, i called them regarding the pain I'm experiencing but no response to that, not too mentioned some of the staff have poor hygiene's the shop is disgustin, not clean, light have dark spit for being clean!!!! I spent a half hour in the dentist chair before the dentist came into see me. They always push for more then you are wanting done, first time there they said $8000 for all they would like me to have done. I asked just for a tooth to be pulled & the lady would not give me that price only. They always want x-rays done even when you just had them done. The dentist is not friendly at all, just get done & move on to next customer. Worst dental appt ever. They did xrays then looked at my teeth. I know they are in rough shape but the way the told me how bad my teeth are, was unprofessional. They refused to even do a cleaning til I agreed to their payment plan to fix my teeth, which wasn't even a full plan. They wanted to focus on the worst teeth and leave the rest to later, which okay yea that's fine, but when I asked what the other smaller issues were, they just said they would discus it after the big issues were taken care of. Was not allowed to see my own xrays. So no cleaning, not allowed to see my own medical records, not allowed to know what ALL is wrong and only told what they wanted to focus on. This was the worst dental experience of my life. I arrived on time but was kept waiting for half an hour after my appointment should have started. The x-ray tech didn't seem to know what she was doing. Worst though, was the dentist. He came into the room and spoke in low tones with the tech behind my chair about MY teeth for five or more minutes. When he finally came over he never even GREETED me. He just opened my mouth, looked around and then told me I needed a root canal and that he didn't do root canals. He then sent me to the office manager who informed me that along with the root canal I needed 14 fillings. They would refer me to someone else for the root canal and then I would have to come back to them to get a crown - the fillings, cleaning and crown would cost $3000 or more. They didn't know how much the root canal, but I was given a guesstimate of $2000 or so. Instead I went to Dr. Paul E. Keller who told me I didn't need a root canal as my root wasn't dead yet! He filled my tooth with no problems. He also let me know that I only needed SIX fillings. The other teeth that Aspen said should be filled - don't even have cavities yet! Dr. Keller told me that I could possibly reverse the decay if I take good care of my teeth and use the right toothpaste. Aspen Dental tried to rip me off. Don't let it happen to you. read more

Awful. First they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early. I had to wait an hour to start to be seen. They said their computers were down and they did not know when they would be back up. However, their phones were not down. They could have called their customers to let them know and possibly reschedule. Then after I got my x-rays and saw the doctor, they wanted over $1,800 for an initial dental plan. All I wanted was a cleaning. They said that they could not do it and that the only option was to pay the $1,800. They even offered a payment plan! LOL Total rip-off. Go elsewhere! Stay away from them! read more

10/19 my husband was quoted and put a $1,200 down payment on 4 wisdom teeth extractions totaling $2,600. 10/23, day of surgery, while my husband is in surgery I was called to settle up expecting to pay the remaining $1,400. The office manager, Amanda, told me that I was to pay $1,900 because the quote was inaccurate. The lady who gave it to him originally did not change our location from Iowa (previous address) to Indiana and that their "fees" were different. This was not what we agreed to pay and only telling me while my husband was already in surgery is unethical and poor practice. Amanda had ample time to let us know of the mistake (she said she noticed it the day before the surgery which was schedule for 6pm) but failed to do so even though she checked us in and we waited for over 10 minutes with her there. They took no responsibility for the mistake and were unwilling to honor the price they originally quoted me for the same services. Update 10/23: Amanda called me a day after I emailed a complaint in to the local office and she told me that it was just a mistake and there was nothing they could do. She was condescending and kept saying that the situation would be used as an opportunity to better train the staff. I called their corporate office to file a complaint and 2 days after that, Amanda called me again offering 10% off the services. So giving me $315 back of the $500 that they should not have taken in the first place. Gee thanks, not. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

In town for a trailer rally I thought I broke my bridge. Everyone was very kind and helpful at Aspen Dental. No sooner did I arrive when I was called in. Several X-rays were taken. The dentist was honest with me and went over and showed me the problem and course of action. Since it was a complicated procedure they suggested I go to my home dentist. The place made a hell of a turn on my last visit! Was called back on time and out of there in a timely fashion. New dentist, new staff and a new coat of paint on the place which made a world of difference! I absolutely love this office and would recommend it to all my friends and family. Dr Ho is great and so funny. And not a one of them judged me for the shape my teeth were in.
