Karima, the Nurse Manager, is calm, patient, kind, and an excellent clinician. Her professionalism and compassion shine through in every interaction, and I know my mom's medical needs are overseen with the highest level of skill and empathy. Equally important are the caregivers who provide day-to-day support. Sonia, one of my mother's primary caregivers, is not only attentive and patient but also brings warmth and humor into the room. She treats my mom with the same dignity and kindness I would give her myself, and that means everything. Living in Hawaii and only visiting every 4-6 weeks, I rest easier knowing my mother is surrounded by staff who care for her like family. Barely there a month and had to go to rehab for broken hip for 3 weeks. Traumatic situation happen to her on a Friday and she died the following Thursday. I can't prove anything, but know in my heart she was neglected for at least an hour before she was found. She just couldn't recover from that terrible situation. Suggestion to the team, take a picture when an incident occurs to learn from it. Follow thru with night time protocols to protect them. Put bed alarms somewhere to be heard at all times. If that is impossible, have someone sitting in nurses station or in hear shot of the alarms. Our loved ones are already in a strange place and don't understand the things they are going thru whether it is Dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's. Pay your caretakers more then $17 an hour. Especially when residents are paying thousands and thousands of dollars for care. You say you care for your residents.....

He had been quite resistant to moving from his independent living facility in the south bay, but it was clear he was not getting the care he needed there, even though we were paying for extra services. After an illness and 10 day hospital stay, we knew he couldn't go back there and are delighted and grateful that Creekwood had an opening. They were flexible about his recovery needs and the transition went very smoothly. He is very content and calm and is actually showing signs of cognitive improvement now that he has all of his needs met at Creekwood. The facility is always clean, and the kind staff is wonderful! Everything is included in the monthly rate: help with showering, dressing, shaving, bathroom help, medication administration, incontinence supplies, so you don't have to piecemeal individual service costs, which makes things so much easier. The best part is I have the utmost confidence that all of his needs are being met and he truly feels at home now.

The entranceway is always decorated very festively according to season, giving it a cheerful ambiance. Art, music, movies, meditation, crafts, exercise, and many other activities fill the day.
