I was fortunate to stumble upon this place for the New Year! :). I really enjoyed the class I took here. It was an all level aerial class taught by Gabe. I thought Gabe was an excellent teacher. I had no freaking idea how difficult aerial silks are, but I had a blast. All of the people in the class were very friendly as well. Because it was so challenging, I decided to take this up as a new hobby that I can perfect :). It's difficult AF, but I think the more you practice and build your upper body strength, YOU CAN DO IT!! You definitely should check this place out if you're in the area - they share a parking lot with the other stores in the building. read more

I heard about this new studio from fellow aerialists in the valley & finally got a chance to stop by & check it out on my day off (last Wednesday), so I took Rachael Servello's Adult Aerial II class. PROS: -easy to find (there's a free parking lot after the Ramada, close to Terrufino Interiors as well as metered parking, which is free after 7pm on weekdays) -super clean & such a large & spacious space -you really get a work out; prepare to sweat a good sweat :D -Rachael was personable, very friendly, easy going, & taught w/ great direction -since I have experience, I was free to play on other apparatuses & she was open to hanging up the cube for me but truth be told, I was already getting a workout w/ everything else. I played on silks, lyra & hammock. I totally forgot about the 3 - attached trapezes. besides myself, there were 6 other students doing their thing -we ended w/ a simple slow contemporary choreo opening w/ our own improv to add to it, on the silks. I did the choreo on hammock. we ran the choreo a few times then changed it up to dance to Nicki Minaj ' s Anaconda song lol CONS: -I'd definitely train here more often if I could but I live about 45-55 mins away & only work p/t :( -they don't have as many open gym hrs during the weekdays but I contacted the gym beforehand & was told they'd accommodate my schedule :) -drop-in rate for a single class was a bit pricey ($40) but that's starting to be the norm, & I don't mind that because I had a great time! so much so, that I lost track of time :) it felt like a 2.5 hr class, so I know I got my money's worth! Have 2 active athletic 12 & 14yr old girls AND I was not looking for another sport or activity. WE WERE DRIVING BY and you would not think to stop (since the store front is so different than the big gyms here in Culver city) and we were shocked and surprised to see this great new CLEAN awesome warehouse!!! The girls were INSTANTLY in love with the creative things they could do and but also compete with themselves. Aerial Warehouse offers something so different than their other sports (Vball and ski racing). This cross training will be great for them and I am already looking at classes for myself. Other comments about Aerial Warehouse: - The coaches and staffing are so tentative and their number one concern is safety (they actually seems like they love their jobs...ha) - My girls were nervous being much older than the normal age kids in this summer camp and not only they fit in but also learned from everyone 5 stars for sure...... read more

This was my 8 year old daughter's first time here and it was a great experience. She was not a fan of the Aerial class, it's new for her and she will get better with time! She loved the tumbling class, since this was very familiar for her. The staff are friendly and encourage the kids to get going. Instructor Kate is great with giving directions and techniques in her Flip & Kicks class. I will definitely be signing my kid up for more sessions. read more

On aerial: Warm-up isn't always the same, and I like that. Rachel pushed us for conditioning, and kept saying: and now climb again, and again, and again. Instructor goes from person to person and helps them out. But classes can be large (10-15+) so it can take a while for her to get around if people are working on different things. I do think a degree of independence in knowing what to work on is helpful; I think this works at Aerial Warehouse because there is multiple silks, hammocks, cube, rope, trapeze and other things. Obviously, not all the instructors have the same style, so try out a couple and see which one works for you. Pros - I love the parking lot. - You can do silks, hammock, cube, rope, lyra or trapeze. Whatever you want, you can choose. - High ceilings - I felt challenged. - Student/silk ratio: ~2/1. Easy to get tired, great for working up your endurance. - There are stall bars in the studios for leg lefts. Cons - Not very ventilated during the summer. The fans are going, and its super sticky and hot air rises. - While there are some instructors I really like, there are also some that don't work for my style. They are just annoying, talk way too much, seriously misread want people want out of aerial, show off too much, and really need to rethink how they structure their classes. To those teachers, have someone audit your teaching, and take some constructive criticism. - Classes are expensive here. Open aerial is $20. On tumbling: I've taken tumbling classes with Camille, Austin and Jones. - Classes usually start with a warm-up, and then simple progressions on floor (handstand and tumbling drills), and then breakoff to the tumble tramp and stations. Jones starts the class with a list of conditioning, which I like a lot. - Austin has coached at Woodward, so I think he is more familiar with TnT programs and progressions. Austin does a lot of challenges/games, which I like, since I think you learn a lot just playing around. If you want to learn wall tramp or cat twists, Austin would be the one to ask. - Overall, I do like the instruction here. - Classes are medium to large, and a lot of people just work on what they want after a while, and then ask for help/spots when needed. - The gym has a standard spring gym floor, a tumble tramp, and spring bed trampoline. Cons: - Tumbling classes are super expensive here. Unless you've got a deal or on Classpass, it's hard to justify the cost since the class structure is more similar to open gym, than a standard gymnastics class you take when you are 12. The market for aerial classes in West Los Angeles can be $30/class, but the market for adult tumbling classes is more like $15/class (if you're looking for an alternative try Broadway Gymnastics, All Olympia, LA School Gymnastics, Mats Gymnastics - they are all cheaper). read more

People were nice enough but I felt I was bit mislead for this very pricey camp. My son wanted parkour and aerials and well it was VERY little parkour and not even REALLY parkour. You can even tell walking into the facility that they don't have space to spread out for much parkour. It is a lot of the aerials. I think I paid close to $100 for the day and I felt like I'd have picked a different facility had I see the inside of this place BEFORE drop off. Plus, owners, you do a great job but please don't bill yourself as parkour. You don't have the right size facility or set up for it and it just ensures you advertise one thing and deliver another. read more

If Aerial Warehouse was a commodity to be sold on QVC or on a late-night infomercial, I would Tony Little/Joan Rivers/Random Pitchman the hell out of this place! Rachael (Adult Aerials) is totally cool, personable, extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I've been taking her class since she started teaching here and I always look forward to it. They've just added adult tumbling classes with Austin (another great teacher) and I've never had so much fun! The tumbling class isn't as workout-intensive because you're focused on learning new skills, but it helps if you have a strong foundation of fitness - as it does in pretty much everything physical. In addition, the facility is cleaner than a German hospital, more spacious than a McMansion, and has as much parking as a Midwestern strip mall! I love this place! read more

This place is so much fun - I like breaking my workout routine with more fun exercise. I've tried the silks and tumble class and it was so much harder than I thought it would be. Both classes start with a short warm up and stretch and then you move on to strength exercises (pull ups/ push ups and abs). The last 45min of the class are either learning to do tricks on the silk or practice hand stand, cartwheel and flips on the mat then on the tumble track (landing in the foam pool). I really liked both but would have a preference for the silk. One thing to keep in mind if you are a bit self conscience, although classes are Intro, every time I was with people who were not beginners at all and it can be a little discouraging. For silks, I would recommend Rachael, because she paid more attention to the newbies than other teachers. I also think the warm up is not long enough (you're going to bend back and cartwheel) so I usually do another class before that one, just to be sure not to hurt myself. read more

I took a parkour basics class with Austin through classpass. Easily one of the most fun classes I've taken yet! Most of the group had either done the basics class before or were new, so I felt like we all fit in. It's an extremely supportive environment, and although the class was pretty challenging, it was empowering. Austin was very patient, kept it fun and offered modifications at the right times. The class started with a warm up across the trampoline and progressed to a section on a contraption of pipes- this tested both stealth, strength and balance. We then spent the last 30 mins or so running up a wall in multiple ways - this was the only part of class that I felt I did terrible. The only complaint is that I felt stiff and paralyzed from my waist up for a solid five days following the class. It's definitely a great upper body workout! And now I can reenact that episode from the office... read more

I'm not up in the air about my love for this place! I tried air yoga at a different location and something left me wanting there. Perhaps it's the fact that it's impossible to feel truly confident at a place without the right facilities and without an emphasis on building skills; the air yoga place was more about "learning tricks" than learning skills. I also wasn't a huge fan of their teaching style. So I was a little hesitant to try this place, but lo and behold, I was very engaged and surprised. First of all, when I walked inside the doors, the gym was impressive to behold. Soft floors,huge mats everywhere, tons of toys, and that new gym smell.It looked like a really safe place to try something new and exciting. The instructor I had was an actual aerialist and performer with a lot of passion for her craft. She was helping some of the advanced students put together some great choreography but made sure she spotted me and taught me some solid fundamentals for my first class. I spent the entire time practicing my baby skills and the time flew by! Beginners should be prepared for some pretty hefty soreness and fingers and feet that scream by the end of class. It's definitely worth it for the variety from the gym and the thrill of feeling like you're learning an actual skill instead of just going through the motions because of those carbs you had at lunch. These aren't people who are working out just to do it; these are people unafraid of taking flight. read more

I started doing aerial thanks to Classpass (saw it in clubs/bars, always thought it looked cool so I wanted to try it out) and just fell in love with the practice. So I've been to a lot of aerial gyms around Los Angeles and this is definitely my favorite spot (also super close to my place). All of the instructors (Rachel, Gigi, Leia) I've had push you to go beyond what you think is possible for you (some places like to baby you a little bit? this place does not unless you want to be babied, haha) so I learn really fast here. I will say this place isn't one of those places that do aerial for aerial yoga or for fitness, this place focuses more on learning the tricks / performance aspect. Also the ceiling is super high and and there are plenty of silks for everyone (sometimes you might have to share) so it's a good class just even for working out because you are on the silks for an hour or so. (the classes are around an 1:15). Also climbing up takes longer than most other places. They make you stretch for good 15-30 minutes which I used to really dislike when I first started but I love it now! And I can do the splits now which I didn't even know was possible for me! read more

Calling all former/current/aspiring tumblers (not tumblrs) if you are looking for a class to "flip" you into shape give the intro tumbling class a try. Yes, it's on Classpass. The gym offers free parking. Water via a water fountain. You train barefoot and wear clothes you can do a handstand in without any surprises. You start off the class with a good warmup and core/arm workout and then you break out in groups depending on what you want to focus on. It's 85 minutes long but time flies! If you have allll the basics down they also offer more advance classes. They also offer aerial basics, Pilates, acre and the list goes on. Flipping around isn't just for kids. read more

I am SO happy that this new studio opened in my neighborhood. It's so nice to be able to walk to class after a long day of work. I've taken two basic aerial classes with Rachel and she is definitely one of the best aerial teachers I've had. She knows how to push me just to the right amount so that I feel challenged enough but not frustrated. I'm an absolute beginner and everyone here is very welcoming and encouraging. I believe the class size is kept under four or five, which gives beginners the exact attention and instruction they need. I've been to a few other aerial studios in the area and Aerial Warehouse has a bigger space and more equipment. Can't wait when they add more classes! read more

One of my favorite places ever! Aerial classes here are amazing and challenging and so gooood. Leia teaches an amazing Lyra class where you learn sick tricks up in the dang air. Everyone is welcoming and cool! One warning is Aerial silks and Lyra are seriously way harder than they look on Insta and require a lot of strength to get your body up and do stuff. It will probably be a long time training before it will start to look amazing. So its a super steep learning curve but don't let that stop you! The hardest things in life are worth the effort! ive been here many times for kid's bdays and b/c of previous great experiences, i gave 2 stars instead of 1. this last time however was a disaster. it was a party for 5yo no one was acting up more so than what usual 5yos do. they were there to have a good time and kids are going to be kids. however, there was 1 employee (pink hair) who i believe should not work with kids. towards a few kids, i witnessed him being rude and impatient. the one that got me was when a kid was finished with cake and he wanted to go play. the kid said "i want to go play" and he responded by saying "it doesn't matter what you want, i said you cant play". imo, people who work with kids should be skilled in wording things in a friendlier way and their patience level should be higher. this guy has no business working with children or being around them. again, the "normal" bday crew has always been great and but if you have a bday there, make sure the pink haired guy stay far far away. read more

Minus 1 star as after care for day camp (ends 3 pm) is only available to 4 pm, and that is tough for many working parents. Also their cancellation policy is somewhat strict... i totally understand it, but if our kid gets sick a day before the camp, we are out the fee for the day. However I totally understand they have a big overhead, for sure, and have to pay staff, so i totally understand. My only point is to read the fine print and be aware (they are very clear tho. I am an avid fan of businesses with great customer service and Aerial Warehouse has nothing but friendly and outgoing staff! I found this place on Classpass, and I was excited to attend the adults intro to tumbling/trampoline class. I've been visiting LA and blogging about my experiences trying out various fitness trends (attending a new fitness studios almost every day). I drove across town and got to the studio minutes early, since it was my first time. Parking was convenient (it's free in the little private lot at the end of block). The studio is pretty small and they had scheduled two simultaneous classes (read: cramped). Checkin was very disorganized and confusing. This was my first time using the ClassPass app, a detail I shared with the employee checking me in. She couldn't locate my reservation, had me sign and electronic waiver, and I was told that there are time lags on the app and me they could deal with it later. I went to change clothes. After a 5 minute warm up I was ushered back to the front and I was asked to pay FORTY DOLLARS in cash to check in to the class. It was only at this point that I went to my phone to try and figure out why my reservation wasnt working. I had made a mistake, and in using the app for the first time, reserved the class for the following week. If an employee had bothered to work with me from the beginning (at 6:10!) I would have been able to quickly remedy the mistake. That is the reason that I got to the studio early! Since technically the class has already started, I could no longer add a reservation for the 6:30 through the app. The EXACT same class, with the same instructor, was running back-to-back st 8:00pm and I suggest I reserve that class instead, but I was told that was not possible. I made an error, but it was an error that could have easily been fixed if the studio was better organized or the employees were more helpful. The class seemed fun, but the studio needs to improve its scheduling. (Perhaps stagger classes by 15 minutes to decompress check in craziness) Pro: free parking. Clean bathrooms/change facilities. Appealing class ideas Con: disorganized staff/scheduling. Small studio (too small for two classes/20+people). Overall: with so many fitness options in LA, I'd chose a different studio with more space, friendlier staff, and a smaller price tag. I've already found another one, through Classpass for tonight. read more

Great aerial fitness location!!! I participated in their fitfest event last month and absolutely loved it! They offer silks, hammock, tumbling, trampoline, and parkour, and during their fitfest event, I got to try them all! I've tried silks and hammock before but still had a great experience here with the instructors, every instructor always has different tricks they can teach to help you learn how to do all the moves and offer a different perspective on what improvements you can make to get better. Tumbling and trampoline were SO much fun! It's exciting and scary at the same time how high you can jump on their trampoline and how out of control you can feel when you go so high. I've also never tried to do a cartwheel or handstand before this tumbling class and it felt much safer to try it for the first time in this environment with nicely padded and bouncy tumbling floors. Trying Parkour gave me a new appreciation for the craft and much respect for those able to do it. My only gripe for this place is that they don't really offer much for adults on weekends, most of the adult courses are weekdays only. I really wish they would offer more on weekends but they seem really packed with the kiddos. If they offer another fitfest event though I'm totally there! read more

Parking is easy as they have a lot on the west side of building. Street parking is prehistoric and accepts only coins...who even carries change anymore? The class itself was great! I took intro with Rachael and she was great at pushing us all at our own pace. I got a great workout and really made some progress. The actual gym is large with large ceilings and they offer many interesting sounding classes, all of which I would like to try! So far this has been one of my favorite gyms mostly due to the personalized attention. Watching the younger children practice I had the thought that I would like to send my future little ones to their camp someday. If you have kids, look into it! read more

If you're looking to try something new & adventurous while getting a good workout, look no further. The warehouse looks unassuming from the outside, but the place is huge. My fiance did an across yoga class. When the instructor, james, was demonstrating the moves we'd be doing, I thought he was crazy. But after his detailed instructions & patience, everyone in the class was able to do what we all thought we couldn't. It was really amazing. We can't wait to go back & try again. Our son and the other kids didn't want to leave. Chris the instructor rocks at keeping everyone engaged! They have large trampoline, running trampoline and big foam pit with entries from multiple layers and lots of aerial options! I attended class by myself with no prior acro or hand to hand experience and a little nervous about how it would go. James' friendly smile and energetic nature put me at ease and his detailed yet simple instruction made difficult moves seem easy and a ton of fun!! I'm giving this place a one... I thought I would try a new fun workout. If you're into gymnastics and are serious about improving your skills.. this is the place for you... in fact, if I was that person, I would give it a 5. I am not a gymnast...but wanted to try something different. I bought a Groupon for one month of unlimited classes.. went once. I tried the adult intro tumbling/trampoline class. I'm in my mid 30s and haven't done a somersault in 30 years. I felt like the instructor was getting annoyed at me laughing at myself out of pure embarrassment. Don't go to the class unless you are serious about gymnastics. The other classes offered might be worth trying, but I'll pass. read more
