I'm a fan of the complimentary popcorn (simple pleasures matter), and while the bathrooms might look a little scary at first glance, they're generally clean--which honestly puts them ahead of many dive bars downtown that barely qualify as functional. The space itself is bigger than it initially appears, almost deceiving when you first walk in. Over the years, the interior has seen steady upgrades, and it shows. The stage is well lit, and every Monday I frequent their open mic--an event that's been running for decades and continues to be a cornerstone of the local comedy scene. There's also an outdoor patio and bar area, which adds a nice option when the weather cooperates. One moment that really stood out to me was Thanksgiving, when they hosted a Friendsgiving and fed all the comedians who regularly perform there. It was genuinely generous and speaks volumes about how much this place values its community. We went on a Friday night which is ladies night a group of 5 of us and we had the best night. Ladies get in free and drink free until 10pm FYI. The only con was the parking , we ended up paying like $25 to park in the parking garage for 5 hours and never again. I will valet instead because the pointe Orlando garage is a hot mess ( I'll save that for another review ) Back to fun ! We all rode the bull and I am happy to say I got the bell rang 2 out of the 3 times that I rode ( those track legs came in handy) lol. When I first arrived there around 7pm, which is there opening time, the security staff were just showing up, and they didn't think the facility was opened yet. So I went to my restaurant first, had dinner, then came back around 8:30. The place was open, and there was no line. Security staff screened me using a handheld metal detector, and kindly let me in. They did inform me that I could not bring outside food with me, but were very nice to valet it for me. I directly went to the bar and just had a diet coke for 4 dollars. Yup, it's a little pricey, but what did you expect for a tourist area? Honestly, I didn't come here for the food and drinks. It's obvious you know why I came. The star attraction is of course, the mechanical bull. It's not a PBR without the bull, and there were a few people riding it. Of course, I took a ride too, and had a lot of fun (hint: if you want a fun ride at your own pace, be sure to tip the ride operator). The operator did an excellent job controlling the bull at my desired pace, and it was a great practice for the real thing (yes my friends, I been cleared to ride the real ones again ). After riding, I headed back out. Security and check in area gave me my bag back and wished me farewell. I was quite impressed with the great service and friendly staff, especially from security (the bouncers). They took great care of me, and mechanical bull operator did a great job giving everyone a fun ride. The music was pretty loud and they were some people line dancing too. The bar area is both indoors and outdoors, so if you don't want to go though security or pay cover charge, you can still drink outdoors. But the indoor area has the better vibe, and the bull ride, so it is better to be indoors. There were saddle seats too, but they were occupied when I was there. I wasn't sure what's the cover charge as I had a coupon to get in for free. This country bar is definitely much better than the defunct Cowgirls bar that was at Icon Park. The vibes here seemed a lot better. The drinks looked to be a bit expensive, but at least the bull rides are free if you buy a food or drink. And parking is validated too. So it's well worth it for a bull ride and free parking to go through the friendly security check and buy a food or drink. Overall: A

I always forgot to ask her the name of the place, until a couple of months ago, when she remembered about it and told me it was the Hen House. The first time I went to the Hen House, of course I had to get the apple pie moonshine, and sure enough it was the best thing since sliced bread. The bar is very small, but that's what makes it so good. The decor is a sort of bordello style, with sparkly bras hanging around the place (which are custom made locally, ask the bartender if you want one), a couple of golden heels, and all around, a very pleasing atmosphere. They do allow smoking, but the place has some wide double doors that remain open during operations, so it doesn't get smoky in there. They also happen to have a unisex restroom in the back, which was quite a surprise due to the size of the place. I've been back to the Hen House since, it truly is my favorite place in Wall street, as it doesn't match the other places. Every time I get the apple pie moonshine, but I have also tried some of their beers and cocktails. They keep rotating the beers they get (craft and domestic), and have a pretty decent selection of bottles. The bartenders will also make you pretty much any cocktail you want, and are very good about suggesting drinks. Again, this place doesn't fit the general vibe of Wall street, and that is why I love it. No pretentiousness, no crazy kids, just a cool chill place to have some good drinks.

There are three different choices for seating. A hightop near the bar, regular tables at the bar, sitting at the bar, or sitting at a regular umbrella table by the pool. I guess that makes four options. I chose a high top. The menus are already on the tables and I was quickly seated and greeted by my waitress who asked what I wanted to drink and I ordered a club soda with lime. Yeah variety of good options for appetizers and meals ranging from a hummus salad to burgers to tacos and three kinds of fries including regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and yucca fries. I opted for the shrimp tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and quite yummy. The tacos were not great but not awful and came with a green sauce that was pretty tasty. The tacos are included in the order so it made for a decent sized meal. I was surprised when I received the check to find out that they had charged me six dollars for my club soda. Every restaurant I have ever been to has never charge me for a club soda. So they not only charged me for it but charged me twice because I got a refill. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said it is categorized as a soda but after some discussion she removed one of the charges. So I still had to pay three dollars for a club soda. If you're in the hotel and looking for some quick bite that are a decent meal or hanging out by the pool this is a worthwhile option.
