From the time we landed to time we walked off the plane onto the tarmac to the terminal. Where there are officers with dog sniffer and a person taking your temperature, before collect your luggage. After you collect your luggage you press a button red is check green is good to leave. Leaving the airport where you can catch a taxi. You can also walk to the oxxo/gas station, where you can catch a cheaper taxi. It all depends on how tired you are from your flight or the amount of luggage you have or the heat. If you want to walk that short distance. Returning flight went smoothly from the time we checked in then you leave that area by going outside to a different entrance to go through security. Where they are very organized moving people and thorough checking. After going through security there are many shops to get last minute items to bring home and eating establishments. There is a lounge you can pay to enter not sure the price. It's all you can eat and drink. Went and bought chocolate and vanilla, hot sauce. Was prices reasonable considering it's in a airport. Also checked out the e duty free, we didn't find anything. There are other shops to buy snacks for your flight. Had a bit of a growl going, so off to the restaurant we go and ordered a clubhouse to share and fries beer and water. Must say the food was delicious The area is very very busy, with domestic and international travellers waiting for their flights. Tip: If you can find a AC unit on the wall sit close you will stay cooler then sitting anywhere else in the waiting area. The airport is currently under renovation you don't really notice. You can hear them through. - staff constantly cleaning floor benches, tables. - washrooms very clean and well stocked.

Kerri and Dakota are completely inspiring with the amount of care, expertise and embodied insight they share based off of decades of movement art experience. Eli, Marcel, Stu and the rest of the Casa Chango staff are incredible humans that put so much love into what they do. Also, the food is amazing!!! Absolutely!…read more When I first signed up for the one month residency here, my goals were pretty much to tan and learn some circus skills lol; but I'm happy to say the community here just made everything "more" than what I was expecting. Circus classes: the classes were excelente! Master instructor(?) Kerri is amazing, to say the least. As an experienced aerialist and teacher, she knows her craft and breaks down skills in ways that are consumable by different types of learners. The visiting instructors (at the time I was here, Dwoira and Brandi) are also very kind and experienced aerial and flex instructors. Location: La Punta in Puerto Escondido is is such lovely place to live in. The current retreat location is only a few min walk from the beach. It's off the main street which is good for noise control a but similarly the main areas are only a few min walk away and includes stores, cafés, restaurants, etc. Casa Chango: I haven't lived in a community such as this before, and it turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. I had my own cabana for some weeks before moving into a shared apartment (with private room) and both were very pleasant; I even had some cute gecko "roommates" sometimes. Meals took place in a shared kitchen and were always delicious and nutritious, and the staff are very friendly. Community: Omg the people here - Kerri and Stu, the staff, the students, etc. Considering we principally went from complete stranger status to living in the same community, things felt seamless and welcoming. On the flip side of that, there was never any pressure to participate in group activities, classes, or even meals; as an ambivert, my introvert side was very appreciative and grateful for this. Overall, highly recommend Sweet Retreats for all the reasons mentioned above and move, and I look forward to staying and learning from them again in the future.

When I arrived, they had a surprise for me that apparently I had to purchase their insurance at $150 a day!!!! If I declined, they needed $13,000 as a down payment and $30 a day as a fee for not having insurance! Horrible service and false advertisement. They truly take advantage of the situation where people may need a rental. Luckily, I didn't and did just fine with public transportation!!!!
