Anyhoo, this liquor store is the epitome of Your Friendly Neighborhood. It's a total don't-judge-a-book situation, because the outside looks like a pretty typical shady liquor store but it's much more agreeable inside. There isn't much in the way of grocery, but there's an expansive selection of snacks, specialty sodas, a huge variety of liquor and beers and wine, and even a good amount of travel toiletries and medicines. Because of the variety I was able to get a fair number of my husband's stocking stuffers in secret - lotto scratchers and chocolate and fancy jerky, oh my! It's the same man working every single time I visit, so I had assumed it was the owner, but maybe not. He's quiet but very polite and runs through the items quickly, even with a few people inside there is never a line. It's clean, and I think prices are pretty average fare for this kind of establishment.

When the dasher asked them 'is this it?' and they said 'yes'. So that small bottle of soda was going to cost me $12.30!! After expressing my frustration, the DD driver took back the soda and I did eventually receive a refund. They will say that they DID contact me, however I am the one that called them as soon as I detected the problem. I spoke with two different guys and they both rambled on about how it was some doordash system error but NO, I've been doing this a long time and stores CAN and HAVE called me before when an item is out of stock. HORRIBLE customer service and I will NEVER, EVER use this store. It is insane to me that a cashier would continue to process a liquor store order without including the most important part of the order. I mean, I literally only ordered two things: Alcohol and a soda, and they literally put a small soda in the bag and called it good. Do they realize there's service fees and a tip to the driver?? That's why that bottle of soda would have costed me $12.30. All because they couldn't pick up the phone AS directed through the Doordash substitution option. ZERO effort, ZERO common sense.

The staff always go out of their way to acknowledge my son, which means a lot to me. They're consistently sweet, respectful, and attentive -- the kind of people you feel good supporting. The store itself is immaculate. The storefront is clean, well-lit, and welcoming, and the inside is always well-organized and spotless. There's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus in the area. They offer an impressive selection of food, snacks, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and they even have a wide range of products behind the counter. Whether I'm picking up something quick or browsing for a treat, they always have something for everyone, including a great selection of ice cream. I especially appreciate that their Swisher Sweets are always fresh, never stale -- which you don't always find at other shops. Another thing I want to point out is the safe and relaxed environment. Yes, like many areas in the Bay, you may see a homeless person nearby every now and then, but in my experience, they're generally kind and never aggressive. My mom would drive-thru to get basics like milk, eggs, bread, and butter. Perfect for when she didn't want to get out of the car during bad weather and also have to deal with us kids inside a store.
