Horrible service. I visited for the first time today and will NEVER be back. I told the person…read moredoing my nails he would need to file down some of the acrylic because I saw It was leaving hills and mounts. He said ok, and filed, but the hills remained. I also told the second person (who painted my nails that I didn't like my nails and they were not flat. She did 1 nail and left the rest. When leaving, I was transparent about not liking my nails. The person who painted my nails, came up to the cashier while Inshared my experience and mumbled something in their language. I'm certain she was talking mess. While the cashier was apologetic, and gave me a whopping 5% off, I still paid $130 for nails I absolutely hate! I am leaving to go out of town tomorrow (and they were closing) or I would had insisted they remove them. Honestly I was so pissed, I barely said bye to the person cashing me out. Do yourself a favor, skip this place.

I took pictures and went back and she claimed I need to pay more to get dead skin off. Isn't that what a pedicure is? I think I deserve a refund. I will never go back and will tell everyone I see about the sorry job they did. She did my nails and pedicure faster than girl beside me getting the same pedicure as me because I ask her. The girl beside me thought it was quick also. Sorry

I recently had a haircut and, after living with it for about a week, realized I would like a small adjustment. I simply wanted someone to run thinning shears through the bottom of my hair--a quick touch-up that would likely take only a couple of minutes. When I called, Kelly answered the phone and was dismissive, telling me no one had time to help. When I called back to ask for a manager's name, her attitude changed and she suddenly seemed more willing to help, but it did not feel genuine. I was repeatedly told that everyone was booked, despite my request being very minor. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service and willingness to accommodate a long-time client. I wasn't asking for a new appointment or a lengthy correction--just a quick adjustment following a recent haircut. I would have expected a salon of this caliber, especially with directors such as Amy on staff, to make more of an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. I have always enjoyed Pure Lux and hope this feedback is taken constructively, but this experience left me feeling undervalued as a loyal customer testing out the salon.

Shop could not be any cuter and professionally appropriate. I would recommend 10 out of 10! Caring, Professional, Respectful, Kind, Knowledgeable, Patient, Genuine along with a great price point! Go see Brittany at Sugar Coated across from the Emporium on Gay Street near the bridge and you will not be disappointed.

If I was not on a cruise ship where it was hard to get shave gel and razors I would have probably just shaved. I don't know if it is because they are more fine hairs on my upper legs, but there were giant patches of hair missed. I have never had this happen in my standard waxing experiences. I was shocked how much hair was left on my upper legs (baby fine hair) and over both knees. If this is a difference in sugaring versus waxing I will definitely have to stick with waxing as it looked like I had no hair removal done at all in big patches. Sooo bummed. ---- Original review: Overall a good experience. They were friendly and helpful making my appointments and the facility is clean. They're also easy to find. I had a number of services head to toe so they split my time between two estheticians. The first one was good but I felt like she talked almost too much. It felt forced and I am sure she was just trying to distract me but I just kinda wish I'd have been able to lay there quietly. I had asked to leave a strip of hair and she did but it was lop-sided and looked funny. I didn't realize it until I got home and ended up having to just shave the small area. The second girl was very friendly but was better and reading me and didn't push conversations. When it slowed down she let me sit quietly. She did a very good job and was even willing to clean up a few missed hairs by the first woman. I'm not sure I think sugaring is less painful than watching (which is what I'd heard and was why I tried it) but overall it was a good experience. If I went back I'd ask for the 2nd girl to do my whole service. Her name was Megan but she joked that they should call her "Emily" because there's 3 Megans that work there.

I made an appointment with Nail Pro for a full set of nails. I had in mind an acrylic dip. I showed…read moreup on time. One of the owners sent me down and immediately began to add tips because he said my nails were too short for an acrylic dip. I decided on an oval shape for the tips. When that part was done, he told me he had customers waiting and passed me onto his wife to complete the polish. I chose a neutral cat eye. I noticed she wasn't applying the polish all the way down to my cuticle. I looked to my right and saw another customer with her fingers in a bowl of cuticle softener. Then I realized they hadn't touched my cuticles prior to these steps. No softening, no trimming, no pushing back. Just simply applying tips and polish. We were beyond that point, so I didn't say anything , and I had just hoped my nails would look pretty. I could tell when she started working in the magnet over the Kat eye that it wasn't what I had had before, but I'm not the expert, so I just watched. Their English wasn't good, so having a conversation wasn't really an option. The charge for what I had done was $70. I hadn't had a manicure in years, so I figured that was the going rate. I was wrong! I left and went home. I wasn't happy with my new nails at all. Husband and friends told me I should go back and have them at least take the polish off and redo it since there was such a gap between it and my cuticles. Looked like I had a week old manicure already. I was very specific when I said I needed the manicure to last 2 to 3 weeks. I called the next morning and told them I wasn't happy and asked if I could come back in, and I was happy they could see me at 12:30 that day. I chose a red polish this time since the cat eye was off. Patrons should know that getting your nails done at this salon doesn't mean they will soak your cuticles, trim them, push them back, and then prepare the nails for whatever you specify. All that is an extra cost, and you have to ask for it. I've never had a manicure where that wasn't part of the process. Patrons should also know that if you want a shape other than how the tips come, that is also an extra cost. What other salons give you for a nice manicure, including all the previous things, for a reasonable set price, you will pay extra at Nail Pro. The owners are nice, though, and they did let me come back for another polish, so I gave them two stars.

I asked for a pink to white ombré and told me I'd have to make an appt with Krystal to do something like that. When i told him i did make an appointment, he immediately started speaking to another woman (Lynn, i believe) who insisted that i didn't ask for Krystal to do my nails in the first place. Which is completely wrong because she is the ONLY person I like to do my nails. I've been seeing her for the past year, and when i called the first thing out of my mouth was, "I'd like to make an appointment with Krystal for a fill-in". The man doing my nails says, since you didn't ask for Krystal, I'll just do your nails and then she can do them next time, K?? So... I'm like okay... since he's saying she's too busy to get to me. Not even 5 minutes into my fill in, here comes in another woman who is immediately sat with Krystal saying she had an appointment with her. Terrible all the way around. My nails also look terrible. I will post pics of nails, that were only done 6 days ago. I've been a good customer at this place, always patient, always kind, flexible, and tip very well. I'm disappointed in the way i was treated, and the service i received. I won't be returning.
