The front staff is the only reason I am giving this place a star. I came in on Christmas Eve because where I normally go had a 4 hr wait and I've been in pain for two days. The doctor came in barely examined me or asked any of my history regarding my issue. He pushed on the site and obviously I start crying in pain and proceeds to tell me to take Ibuprofen. If that worked I would have not come in on Christmas Eve instead of being with my family and children. Seriously don't come here if you need medical attention or are in major pain. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. My husband and I went in because we had Covid symptoms. My husband was positive and I negative. The issue I have is the PA never listened to my chest or breathing before prescribing antibiotics. I either have bronchitis or pneumonia so I would have preferred he at the very least listened to my lungs. read more

I went to this location and was charged $95. Each time which was twice for a movie test , my medicare/UHC paid all but 30. For each claim which I called to confirm with my insurance company that it was correct that I should have only paid 30. Each for there should not be a charge for the text regardless which one you request, After three weeks of telephone calls none returned, a lady comes on to tell me it was a convenient few , no one said anything about a convenient few and it was not noted anywhere on the bill. No one told me of any convenient fee. I am holding for my medicare advocate so they can investigate this matter and hopefully have it resolved, I feel very taken advantage of in a already difficult time. Came here on a weekday mid morning for a bad sore throat. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I didn't have to wait long but there was only one more patient in the waiting area. The nurse and doctor were very professional. They did a Strep test and provided results pretty quickly. The doctor prescribed something for the throat infection and instructions on how to tale care of it the next few days. They also called me a few days after to see how I was doing. read more

I'm so thankful that you guys were still having service during Covid. The receptionists and check in attendants were very friendly and greeted me upon my arrival. I didn't have to wait at all since I was the only patient in the office that morning. When I was called in, I was really greeted though and the attendant who administered help to me didn't talk very much. Perhaps it just was a bad day or conditions with the virus are concerning. I don't know. I was pleased overall with my visit. However, I question the service and ultimate efficacy of my trip as I have to return to another clinic. My reason for the visit was not resolved, nor was it timely! It took a week for results or any confirmation which as a patron I would like feedback faster. This is adequate care if you have something minor that does not require lab work. They are not affiilated with a lab so they have to wait 3 days for lab results. In the meanwhile, they send you home and tell you to take Tylenol or go to the ER, if you would like to be treated sooner than 3 days. They should have told me that they would not be able to diagnose and treat during my visit and I would have gone straight to the ER or another urgent care with direct lab access. If you feel really bad, please don't spend your time with this urgent care. read more

My 2YO daughter snipped her fingers pretty good with some garden tools yesterday, lots of blood, lots of screaming, but thankfully just a cut. I bandaged up her hand as good as possible and ran her off to the urgent care. They had her back in a room and sewn up in less than 20 minutes. The Dr and nurse were both extremely good with my daughter. I'll definitely be coming back here in the event we have an emergency. I just hope that's not very soon! read more

I made an online appointment at the Apex Lake Pine location for the morning of 12/23/22 for a possible concussion/whiplash. The appointment was confirmed and I received a link for paperwork as well as texted appointment reminders. I arrived 10 minutes early, as instructed, to find a note on the door that they were closed for the day. The note instructed patients to go to the Cary Maynard Crossing office, which I did. After explaining the situation, they gave me paperwork to complete. I waited 30 minutes only to be told that they couldn't see me because their x-ray tech had not come in. Despite the fact that x-rays aren't necessary to diagnose concussion, the doctor would not see me but the nurse was emphatic that I was not being denied care. Now I am receiving text messages from both locations that I have missed my appointments. It would be laughable if it were not so frustrating. Find another urgent care or go to the ER. This was a waste of money & time. The gentleman at the front desk was nice, quick, and efficient however the Dr herself was not. Absolutely no bedside manner, I'm 5 months pregnant and went in for abdominal pain. She said there was nothing she could do for me and to follow up with my OBGYN (I'm traveling from out of town) After explaining that I was concerned about my continuing pain she said "I understand I can't give you the quick fix you were looking for but if you feel differently you can always go to the ER" Why did I come here to begin with? What is a quick fix? She was snarky and her delivery of her less than 5 min diagnosis came across as though I had wasted her time. $120 to be seen for maybe 5-7 minutes is insulting, piled on with saying there is nothing she can do was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. read more

I wanted to warn everyone about this facility. They have been extremely unprofessional handling my refund situation. I have been trying to speak to their manager for days about a reimbursement they must give me for an upfront fee I paid for a covid test a few months ago. Their billing department and my insurance company confirmed that they owe me a reimbursement. But I have to speak to their manager in order to get my refund. So I have been calling everyday for days, leaving messages to their manager and their response is always the same: "try calling tomorrow". Their billing dept also confirmed they left several messages. I mean, the he must know this by now? These people are taking advantage of the pandemic to make money. They have been already paid by my insurance in full and they are holding my money. They also have no extra precautions whatsoever with testing. I was told I could just walk in and sit in their waiting room around other patients. My test was negative, but what if I was positive? A mask only helps so much. After I had a ridiculous experience with Duke Urgent Care (a total rip-off cost-wise), we decided to try this place when my husband needed to get in to a doctor quickly. He was able to get in and out quickly and my husband got the treatment he needed. The only issue was making an online appointment request...apparently you need to register first, but the website gives you no indication of that, just lets you send an appointment request that apparently doesn't come through on the center's end. Went to Doctors Express where I saw a nurse within 10 minutes for history and vitals. The Doctor took his time to review my history and then examined me. He will explain everything to you so you have a great understanding of what's going on. He takes his time and checks, and double checks. I was told to call my doctor if there were any medications. I've almost every time seen the NP Henry Althizar and he has always told me if there were any issues to call him. in case the medications weren't working or so forth. He is a fantastic doctor, helped me get off of suboxone. I also had benzo withdrawals though from using research chemical benzos I had no idea the strength was so great. So I went to jail withdrawing from these and they almost killed me. They prescribed me 2mgs klonopin 3 times a day just to keep my blood pressure and spasms for going up. Well the doctor I was unfortunate to see prescribed me 1/3 that dose and basically wished me the best. Of course this hardly worked jumping from a dose 3 times as much and I was forced to take excess. the whole reason I was purchasing research chemical benzos on the street was because I didn't have the money for insurance at the time and the doctors office would charge me 300+ per month to basically take my blood pressure and then prescribe me medications. So now I'm in a predicament still having issues and spasms. they told me to go the ER given my lack of money as explained before I have no money to do this. The doctor I was supposed to call basically told me to go fuck myself Dr. HOA NGUYEN. She treated me like garbage and some sort of criminal. Just for doing the exact same thing my usually NP was very gracious and helpful with if I was ill. So now I am forced back into the streets using prescription benzos again read more

Clean and usually quick facility however I found the doctor my son saw wouldn't listen to me when telling him the symptoms of my toddler. Mother knows best certainly was the case. He was quick to diagnose before even evaluating him or listen to my concerns. Sure enough after 2 days I went and paid full price office visit at a doctors office and was told he had hand foot and mouth and not a "cold" as urgent care would only diagnose him with. I am appalled by the lack of care and concern and was even told by the follow up physician who properly diagnosed him never to go there that she as a physician would never send someone their. Worst front desk person ever met in a medical practice, Christy. As soon as I walked in she had a scowling look on her face. She barked orders of ways to fill out paperwork. I said calmly you are rude. She said I was rude to when you walked in. I told her I was sick and that's why I'm here. After refusing service and asking for my things back she constantly talks back. She was almost excited her manager was not there to address my complaints. I asked for her name she took a card wrote her name and threw it at me. I have a primary physician but had no time and a sore throat. The doctors are awesome but Christy has just lost all respect and my business.
