Completely happy with the health care provided at AFC Urgent Care Ooltewah. Easy parking, nice waiting room, loved the ability to pre-register on-line and get paperwork out of the way. Mckenzie at reception was friendly and efficient checking me in. Emily, the nurse who took my vitals and history was another person with a warm personality and nice professional approach to the tasks at hand. My visit with the nurse practitioner, Colleen just blew me out of the water. Pleasant, quick to grasp what I was asking for and even faster in meeting my needs. The whole place runs smooth as silk and after working 45 years in healthcare, I am usually NOT impressed. But, wow, I think I have found my go-to urgent care for the future. Absolutely Worst place to go.  If you have to go DO NOT see the Nurse Practitioner Christina Aguila.  She was so rude and wanted to argue about a referral from another provider at another location that was done over a month.  Then say, a referral was sent to orthopedic  so why are you here!! Despite the referral being sent over a month ago, and still not feeling well. She did not want to help and wanted argue and ask why are you here even though I was there for shoulder pain.  I ended up walking out and going to another facility and they treated me and I ended up on medications and in an arm sling!!  Do Not go here, the provider do want to help you or treat, they want an excuse not to treat you or help you!! I'm filing complaints with the medical board on this provider.  Worst experience and unprofessionalism I have ever encountered , must less the lack of concern or care that I've even experienced from a medical provider in the 46 years I've been Alive.  I will NEVER use this facility again or will I ever recommend them to anyone I actually care about !! read more

Came in with messy dog bite on hand and arm and was seen right away. Staff is friendly and competent. Dr. PM was exceptional and knew how much pain I was in with the injury. She provided expert care. I would definitely return if I had a medical need not requiring an ER but needed care if I could not get right in to see my PCP. read more

Im only allowed to go as low as 1 star... After spending 3 days, starting at AFC trying to get my DOT physical, passing my physical on day 1, then finding out that I needed paperwork from my CPAP, made a trip to pick that up, only to find out that 30 day report wasn't sufficient, needed 90 days record.. Then was notified that I needed paperwork from my Dr about prescriptions (day 2).. Got my Dr to sign paperwork picked up on day 3, returned to AFC with EVERYTHING, only to be told that they had thrown all of my paperwork away (after telling them that I would get everything and return ASAP).. Now, told I need to start over and retake physical... 3 days wasted... Completely Incompetent read more

We took my son in yesterday for a suspected nursemaids elbow. They took x-rays to make sure it wasn't broken, but even though he could not move his elbow and was in pain, they just gave us a sling and sent us on our way. We kept asking the doctor about nursemaids elbow and she said that wasn't it. We saw a friend of mine that is a Physician's Assistant today that said yes it is nursemaids elbow and set it in less than 30 seconds and he is now pain free and has full range of motion. The front office staff is nice, but I do not recommend this location based on knowledge or expertise. They did not even try to set his elbow and it's a quick and simple fix! I'm not a doctor and I knew that's what it was. read more

For urgent walk in care this is a nice place in Ooltewah, TN in the center of town.

I am SO sick and tired of AFC urgent cares. I did my paperwork and everything online, showed up early, and am still not seen an hour since I've been here! So many people have come in and have been seen before me. I have covid symptoms... is that not urgent enough???? I'm tired. I don't want to be here. I just want a test and I'm going to have to wait 15 MORE minutes for my results when I'm finally seen!!! read more

I Went into the AFC Urgent care at Ooltewah, Tn. on 08/23/2022. I arrived inside the facility at 7:50 PM in the evening during normal business hours. I was turned away for treatment for a swollen, injured hand. The excuse was the Nurse Practitioner left " early" that evening because it wasn't busy, despite the fact that the facility was still open. The tech. looked at my swollen hand and advised me that only a MD or NP should treat it. I had no choice but to leave without treatment and went to the Parkridge North ER for emergency treatment. This cost me out of pocket $280.00 , plus Blue cross/ Blue Shield Federal was charged over $1000.00. I have since filed a formal Complaint with Blue Cross/Blue shield because of AFC's negligence since this facility is supposed to be a Preferred Provider with Blue Cross and turned me down for treatment. There was no excuse for this action. read more

Came in during my lunch hour and was immediately seen by a welcoming and friendly staff. My concerns were immediately addressed and diagnosed. Both the DO and the PA were exceptional. They took great care of me -- I left there in a LOT less pain and was on my way. This is MY go to for anything medical!! read more

This place is very unprofessional . I went there for a fit test for my job and they said they could do it, took my payment and processed it immediately. After they called my name to come into the back for my fit test they had me sit in a room for 20 minutes when no other patients was here . Once they came back into the room finally they told me that none of their nurses or staff knew how to do the fit test and then told me that I need to go to the other side of town to their other facility where they could do the test . This other facility is higher in volume and they told me that I would have to go through their wait time even though it's their mistake that they don't have anybody at this facility who can do my fit test . If you use this facility make sure you ask them if they actually have a professional on hand that can complete your service before you pay them anything . read more

Dr. Cash and team were very nice and helpful! I was seen within 30min of walking in. I was given immediate relief treatments, tested to ensure it wasn't something bigger and given a prescription for better than over the counter meds. They also helped find a pharmacist who could fill that prescription when my initial choice wasn't able to after I had left the doctor. I was an urgent care rookie but appreciate the experience and will come back again if needed. read more

I scheduled a covid 19 rapid test for 2:00 today. You have to go on their site and book an appt. in one of their appt. slots. I got the 2:00 appt. and they texted me at 1:14 that they are out of the covid rapid test but can send it out and will take 3-7 days for results. This is poor business practice to schedule more people than you have actual tests for. When I asked why they did that I got no response. Also poor business practice. read more

My husband's a stroke patient with congestive heart failure and in a power chair. He needed a " rapid" covid test and they would not see him quickly.I called the office twice begging for them to see him and they would not. Their response was he could go to E R. Which would require more wait time. We waited 4 hours and he was very weak. I cried all night and his condition was made worse because of urgent care's lack of efficiency....It's ashamed you can't get " Rapid tested ". read more

The Dr. was great. We got in and out in about 35 minutes however I'm only giving 4 stars. The lady at the check-in was rude for no reason there were only three people in the office. I know it's a holiday and your working but people come to your office for help and being friendly cost you nothing. read more

I took my daughter to AFC Urgent Care in Ooltewah a few days ago with a minor medical issue. It was not possible to see her regular Dr that day on short notice. We were seen promptly and all the staff were professional and courteous. I was especially impressed with Dr Feliciano. Seemed very knowledgeable and caring.
