Broken wisdom tooth. Had 3 removed before and it is always an ordeal. So here I am, again, 4th and final tooth. I'm walking into the lobby worried cause I'm a grown man feeling any minute I might start crying like a 12 year old with a skinned knee, then bam! The young lady at the front desk hits me with a 120 watt smile. She had a mask on but I could tell by her eyes. We have the standard 5 min conversation about life liberty and #Merica. After all if this was third world medicine I may be waiting on a string attached to the other end of a donkey to yank this bar boy out. But thanks to democracy I'm now at the pre regg kiosk. Boom! I'm checked in. Insurance good. Then COVID regulations tell me I gotta wait in my car! Walking to my truck I think to myself, " self you could just leave....no one would ever know". Luckily I could not sleep the night prior so I watched "The 300" and fight club"prepping myself. "First rule bout being scared---you don't talk about being scared." Sitting in the truck thinking about every peice of hard candy I bit into, Every bottle I opened with my teeth ( momma was right) I get the call. Can't back down now. I am met in the lobby by "Amy". No Amy is next level nice. I am sure in her spare time reads books to orphans nice. She escorts me back to the x-ray and can tell I'm as nervous as Biden as a speed reading contest.... nervous as Trump headed to a sensitivity conference, yet she stays poised and talks me down off the ledge. Now I'm in the room. I reach for my phone and find no reception. It's a trap! I knew it was to good to be true. "Amy" catches wind of my debacle and politely says " it's just this room" and takes me to another to ease my mind. Now is go time. Dr sawbone walks in. He walks in like he's been here before. I'm sure he has read the notes from my last 3 extractions and knows what's ahead of him. We talk briefly like old friend who don't know each other. I cut to the chase. "Doc", I said " I need you right now". Both of us in mask make eye contact and just like when the titanic sank he looked into a young Rose Dawson's eyes and assured me I was gonna make it. Laughing gas flowing, numbing shot blazing, Doc goes to work. Gas going it gets a little foggy.....but what I remember... Ceiling opens up....out of the sky I hear trumpets. Golden dental instruments float down. He goes in with the focus of 4th quarter Kobe- the accuracy of Tom Brady in OT. I'm talking Tiger at his first Masters. He goes in there like " who's your daddy and bap! Tooth comes out quicker than...well let's just say it was fast. He proudly describes his recently achieved conquest to me. I am beside myself happy. He leaves the room and I see a golden cape with a bold capital letter D on it. I am escorted to the lobby with kindness and relief. My experience was more that great. I would highly recommend them for ANY of your dental needs. read more

Last March my Journey with AFDENT began . Not knowing what to expect I was quite honestly a little neverous. This all changed when I allowed myself to place my trust in the hands of Dr Hardin, Jane, and Leisa who collectively comprised the AFDENT team. March 14th marks my first anniversary in which I have worn a Full set (upper and lowers plates) of Dentures 24/7. I truly believe my life in the last year has been enriched. First, no more pain from a mouth full of teeth that had suffered from years of neglect. Second, no more difficulty eating the foods that I enjoyed and lastly I could smile without being ashamed of my appearance. I know that I am not unique and many others reading this review are experiencing the same problems related to your dental work. My advise to you call AFDENT today and schedule an appointment. Wow, one year 24/7 wearing a full set of dentures, and let me also say, that I never experienced any discomfort. Each time when I thought my dentures needed be adjusted Leisa was there to make the necessary Tweaks. The service provided by Afdent was simply outstanding. Now for some good news... Next week I will be fitted for a second pair of dentures. Reason I travel internationally and my thought is to have a spare set of dentures that can travel with me as a back up set. The following week my new dentures will be ready to wear and my current set of dentures will be refitted with what is called a " Hard Lining" that should enhance the comfort level of my present dentures even further. Let me say to anyone that has thought about getting dentures. Consider getting them from the professionals at AFDENT. My father had a favorite expression to be successful stay with your own knitting or simply put don't try to be all things to all people. Why then would you go to a family practice dentist that only may do one, two, or three sets dentures per year. Who may or may not be equiped to adjust your dentures during your first year to your comfort level. During my lifetime I have dealt with alot of organizations .... I would rank AFDENT among the very best. YES, in my opinion they are "The Best of the Best" Thank you AFDENT for making my dental experience a Fabulous one. I will always be grateful to the staff of professionals, Dr Hardin, Jane, and Leisa, that enriched my life. I had all my teeth pulled, 28 to be exact, i decided to do this because of fibromyalgia and the fact that my teeth were decaying at the gum line. I had no pain with my teeth being as bad as they were. The dentist, nurses and staff were excellent. I had extra issues with my teeth being pulled, they said i was a special case! Treated me with respect everytime i went in, seen the same dentist and his assistant every time! It has been since march that this was done. I still cant chew or bite certain foods yet, but i had been told it is a learning process and they prepared me in advance of what to expect! I'm a crunchy food person and a salad person and have as yet to have a salad! It does hurt sometimes to try to chew on one side, but, i am determined to take it one day at a time. My fibro has gotten better, lost weight, and am no longer embarrased to smile! I was never really a sit down dinner person, but there are foods i am slowly introducing to my diet. I cant bite a grape or olive, but i can cut stuff into bite sized pieces! As for the crunchy potato chips n such, well they arent good for me anyway...lol I highly recommend these wonderful people. And there are ways to get around stuff if you set your mind to it. Just a quick tip, eat pancakes, mac n cheese, and boost (the protien drink). For any one who has all their teeth pulled and new dentures....it is a long process, but each day gets easier. read more

I have to say, its been years since I had been to a dentist, and due to the fact that I had a horrible expierence prevously, that is what had brought me to the point of no return. I had teeth that were litterally crumbling, one litterally slid out of my mouth..well I knew it was time to bite the bullet sortaspeak and go to the dentist. and after all the deep fear I had, they made it so much more bareable. Well in the end, I had to have all my uppers removed and a top denture put in.. 2 lowers removed.. but thank god, I still have 9 remaining teeth in good shape.. I have every intention on saving these haha.I will have to have partials next year.. Everyone from the Receptionist, billing,the young lady who took the xrays, the 2 young ladies that did my impressions, and even the dentist came in to also look.. we all agreed, they had to come out. They all reduced my fear tremenously. Well this past weds they were all removed. I wont lie, there was alot of discomfort... swelling, etc., today I went back and omg, the young man who checked my mouth is now my hero :) he adjusted my upper plate, showed me how to use the powdered fixodent, and I walked out of there Almost painfree for the first time in years.. I want to thank all of you at the location on parnell from the bottom of my heart.. I now smile proudly for the first time in years.. And they gave me back my confidence... read more

Awesome!! Broke a tooth eating in Ft Wayne while traveling through from Florida at 2:30pm . Called several other offices trying to get emergency help due to sever pain I was in and after explaining the situation to each of them desperately trying to get help all them said "NO" due to prior appointments or late in day. I finally called Afdent and after they heard my situation they explained 3pm was their cutoff for walk-in emergencies but for me to come on in anyway and they would try and help me. I walked in and was immediately taken to a room and the Dentist went right to work pulling the tooth and freeing me of my pain. Thank you so much for caring about more than $$$$ (very fair price) and scheduling and helping people that are in terrible need. If I could give Afdent 100 stars I would!!! I lost a crown on a tooth over the weekend so I got up early this morning hoping to get in to get it repaired this week, I got right in with no waiting, the young lady was very helpful in getting me registered, and to my area downstairs, I can't say enough about my nursing assistance, she was amazing, she could tell I was nervous about the tooth extraction she comforted me, and even dried my tears, and my dentist he was excellent he helped to calm my fears as well. My experience with Afdent was very good. I hate visiting the dentist, but the efficiencies and care., not to mention the many smiles at Afdent, make my time there easier, much easier. I have chosen Afdent for a variety of reasons, mostly the people who help me through what could be an uncomfortable process. I just wish Afdent's style of care had been around when I was a kid in the 50s. I should add that some of the assistants have been superb in their recommendations to me for better oral health. Today I got an "A" at the dentist office- no cavities! But I also give them an "A" for their care. Carrie, the dental hygienist, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain my x-rays to me. I opted out of the fluoride treatment, since it wasn't covered by my insurance. She was perfectly fine with that. The dentist was super nice, too. Her name was Dr. Ghori. Been going to Afdent over seven years now and have always been treated well. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist. read more

I highly recommend anyone to choose Afdent, you will not be disappointed. I felt so comfortable, they explained everything, and we even had a few laughs. I was extremely nervous and within minutes of going back to the room I was relaxed. The only sad part was when I went to pick up my prescription I couldn't get the pain relief bc the doctors license wasn't updated. Every single person from the front desk, the dental assistant, to scheduling at the end were so nice and Not at all Judgmental. The office was clean and pleasant. Most important The prices are affordable and realistic. The dentist is the absolute best but the wait times for orthodontist is ridiculous my appointment was for 2:45pm I went to the front desk and asked what time I would be seen because it was going on 3:30 the lady at the desk told me "oh they pushed your appointment back to 3:00pm" mind you no one informed me of that information so I was already upset but overall my experience was good but need better timing on getting patients in and out. read more

Afdent is very expensive, and their denture services are terrible. My mother is now on her 2nd set of dentures, and she still has problems. The staff is not competent regarding dentures. I would strongly recommend staying away from Afdent. Additionally, Dr. Allen forces his right-wing political views on patients by showing the biased Fixed News Channel on all public TV screens in the office. read more

Friday, a day before leaving for vacation and a toothache starts - great timing... Afdent is open, and has an appointment for me within an hour. Shortly afterward my tooth is out, (my dentist had already referred me to oral surgeon, but I thought I could wait until after my trip), and I am pain free to enjoy a week away. I began experiencing tooth pain, something I couldn't stand so I came to Afdent as a walk-in patient. Without an appointment, I was seen within an hour and my problem was taken care of. Today I had my 2nd visit because of another infected tooth. everyone there is friendly and very compassionate. I was given antibiotics then in a couple of days the tooth comes out. They all make sure that we as patients feel important and our pain is real. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. The staff and the doctors are awesome!! read more
