I have used Affairs to Remember several times. The first time was to get some amazing flowers for my Engagement Party. I had a pretty small budget, minuscule infact. Lori worked with me to get the look that I wanted within my budget. My party was in NH. The flowers transported well and set up perfect. They lasted all day and into the following weeks. Many people who took some home complimented me on their staying power! They helped make the perfect day. The 2nd time I used her was for my business. I went in with a loose idea of what I wanted. More of just a palate of colors. She came up with some very creative ideas to fit my palate. They flowers were fresh and just what I was looking for. They not only fit the event perfectly but I got many compliments on how it dressed up my booth and tied everything together. They were delivered on time and I could not have asked for anything more. I plan on using Affairs to Remember again for both business and personal reasons! read more

I called for a family basket to be sent to my sister's home in Reading - her father-in-law had passed way. The very kind and empathetic floral designer (I've forgotten his name) helped me confirm a floral planter was the perfect choice. Phone engagement was quick but all questions were answered completely and patiently. The designer was spot-on when he told me the plants they had were good sized and healthy. I thought I wanted a 12" planter but they had 10" or 14". He suggested that the 10" planter would be fine, which I appreciated. However, it was folk a few of us so I went with the 14".. I thought delivery fee was a bit higher than I've paid in the past, BUT they delivered the planters on the same day, exceeding my expectations! I specifically chose a local florist to support when choosing my bouquet to say farewell to a family friend, and to say I was disappointed at the quality is an understatement. Instead of just ignoring my complaint if she found it unfounded, Lori contacted me to retract the refund promised by Ben. My family was in mourning, and I'm 3,000 miles away, so we certainly didn't take a picture of the bouquet to confirm what I'm being told. There is nothing more unseemly than debating the "value" received for a funeral bouquet. It only takes a moment to take a snapshot of the arrangement sent, if one is not going to stand behind the quality of their creations delivered, and argue over a refund of any type. Neither of us wants to have a bad experience, so I'm chalking this up to Judge Judy's advice - I won't be using Affairs To Remember services again. read more

I ordered an arrangement for a family funeral. I received a phone phone call stating someone else ordered the same arrangement and Laurie and I spoke about an alternative. I hung up feeling confident that she would create something beautiful. However, I was wrong. I got to the funeral to see 2 hydrangeas in a plastic basket. Definitely not worth the $150.00 charged. I called the shop a few days later to express my disappointment. I was told that Laurie would call me back. Nearly a week later, I called again because I hadn't heard anything. Laurie said she didn't realize I needed a call back and then proceeded to tell me how expensive hydrangea are. And the each one was worth $75. Her customer service skills are absolutely horrendous. Called on 2/12 for a delivery. The girl I spoke to was wonderful (which is why I give this 2 stars). I ordered right off the website 2 dozen pink roses for my wife. I upgraded to premium which was $145. I also ordered a 50 bouquet to be delivered to same address. The owner called me about an hour and a half after I placed the order and stated she meant to take that off the internet because it was Valentine's Day and she wouldn't honor that price. Instead she said I could get a dozen and a half for the same price. The flowers came and I was less then impressed with both of them. Save your money and go some where else. If you have something on your website you should honor it no matter what day it is. Roses came with no baby's breath or anything. Beyond disappointed. I like to shop local but won't be doing that here anymore. read more

I ordered flowers from their website. It was quick and simple. But, it provided the option for a Sunday delivery that is not actually possible. I received a phone call within minutes of ordering apologizing for the problem and providing me with options. I chose a Monday delivery risking the recipient not being home, the flowers were delivered on Monday and the recipient received a phone call alerting them to the delivery while not at home. Kinda stumbled upon this shop about a month ago. I was buying wine across the street for a sweet anniversary dinner, and spotted "Melrose Blossoms." My first thought, "perfect location." They are on Main St. at the corner of Upham/Essex st. in Melrose, with plenty of on street parking. That part of Main St. is a "one stop" area for all your errands. Walking into Melrose Blossoms, there is a huge walk -in cooler, filled with bright colors and fresh smells. My second thought, "Jackpot!! The owner was extremely helpful (and very easy on the eyes.) I walked out of there with an amazing arrangement and a new flower shop. My third thought......Well, maybe I'll keep that to myself, but I think the guys know what I was thinking holding wine, and these beautiful flowers in my hand. I needed it to last a long time, have nothing to plant later (all cut flowers), be more unique that what I could find in the supermarket, and include the color purple. A lot of requests, but I know nothing about flowers and didn't have any idea what to ask for beyond that. The arrangement she provided, despite short notice around the holiday, was amazing. From the vase they were in to the great looking flowers (never saw some of them before), it all went over really well on Mother's Day and a good while afterward. I've used Affairs to Remember several times to send flowers to my wife (birthday, valentines day, etc.) and to provide table centerpieces for a fundraising event my community non-profit held. On all occasions, they very much exceeded my expectations. For the centerpieces, they delivered a combination of beautiful live flowering plants in pots and flower arrangements that were much better than those we had used in the past. I gave Lori our number of tables, the general color mix we were using for other decorations, a rough verbal description of the room, and a budget and she delivered. Speaking of which, delivery of the centerpieces was one of the few logistical items that we didn't have to worry about as Affairs to Remember has always been reliable and punctual on delivery for everything I've gotten from them and this was no exception. On the personal end, every boquet of flowers I've ever gotten from Affairs to Remember has been absolutely beautiful. Occasionally, Lori has made suggestions or described options to me and I've never been disappointed. The flowers were beautifully arranged, my wife loved them, and they lasted a long time on the kitchen table, unlike some of the half-wilted stuff I've gotten through big online places in the past. Delivery was also great because the driver is someone from Affairs to Remember and not the postal service or some random flower shop, so it was easy to give them complicated delivery instructions and know that they would be followed. Very dissatisfied with the service from beginning to end. Should have known from the start but Lori came highly recommended. Upon entering the store I barely got a greeting. When I was finally noticed and advised of my appointment with her...she seemed disinterested in talking to me. I kept a pleasant smile and proceeded to tell her what I wanted for my wedding and she assured me that she understood and would make it happen. Bad idea! The day before my small intiment wedding I went to pick up my bouquet and to my surprise it was the most ugly thing I have ever seen. How hard was it to make a simple pink wedding bouquet??? I was horrified to say the least and left in tears. Never again! There are moments a bride looks forward too....her dress and that final touch the bouquet! Mine was ruined!
