I can genuinely say from the moment my mother and i booked with him we felt we were in good hands but when we met him we knew. All worries and concerns went away because he really listens and wants you to be happy with your results. I was disheartened to read the other reviews because he is far from a doctor that only cares about your money. Yes, he is pricey but that is directly correlated to the results I received and the level of care and importance he has placed on my desires in reference to my appearance and results. He has continually seen me to check my results, as he did with my mom and hers. For myself it has been a year and i have had 10-15 different appointments from checking up on results to little changes i wanted to try with injections and lasers or fixing scars from previous doctors. He even fixed mistakes from previous doctors without hesitation and without charging me a ridiculous amount or nothing at all because he is that caring. For my mom it's been 3 years and she has been there and done the same. Never once have they denied our requests or been dishonest about predicted results or costs. We always get honest care and instructions on their policies when booking. He is a wonderful family man that makes his patients feel like his extended family. You never leave them without him catching up with you and asking about your lovely family and life. You never feel rushed out. Lastly, a lot of times we think this is an all solving solution to your aesthetic needs and forget that he places instructions on lifestyle and after care to reach optimal result. He has miracle hands that work miracles but we also have to be consistent with the after care and be responsible with his schedule and be respectful to all helping us. I still see him for all my aesthetic needs today. The doctor and his team are still extremely accommodating, understanding, kind and professional. After…read moredealing with a deviated septum and the slew of nasal and sinus problems it has caused consistently for nearly 30 years (including: headaches and face pain, nasal congestion, nosebleeds, sinusitis, blockage of one nostril, sinus infections, excessive postnasal drip, and excessive allergies) I decided to find a quality doctor to help me. When I heard about Dr. Chalfoun I made an appointment as soon as possible. The last one I spoke to several years ago (and ENT, and plastic surgeon) brushed me off with a shocking manner. Dr. Chalfoun was very nice and willing to listen to what I had dealt with. I laid out everything I had been experiencing for years, and even how I had been dismissed by the previous doctor. He was shocked by the previous doctor's words, "It sounds like you have allergies and want a nose job," and attitude. After waiting for the nosebleed I was having when he first walked into the exam room to stop, conversation, and a brief exam he basically said that the same thing as the previous doctor only with nicer wording. He also said that it seems I am able to get air through my nose. I had never once said I couldn't. I did however make it clear that half my nose has a tendency to close on its own while I'm sleeping. He said this was most likely due to dryness, despite me having told him that humidifiers are very active in my house since my father and I both suffer from nasal issues due to dryness. Despite everything I described experiencing and how everything has escalated over, again, NEARLY 30 YEARS he wanted to refer me to an allergist. I told him that I had taken every over-the-counter product for years, some simply out of desperation. Apparently, this was nothing. He also looked at me numerous times like I was lying. This is how you treat a client, or anyone who comes to you for help? I made it clear early on that I was tired of taking pills and using products and wanted a real solution. I do understand that not every deviated septum requires surgery. But what more needs to be done to prove that I need help? Did he need to see me having a significant nosebleed, or heavy swelling in my sinuses? I have a feeling he would have simply handed me some cotton or prescribed me something. While looking through reviews prior to making my appointment, I found it odd that a doctor who supposedly specialized in rhinoplasty (someone in the office told me this when I made the appointment), didn't appear to have any reviews regarding this. I should have seen this as a sign. He would rather push a client off onto another doctor to pack more pills in rather than help a person who has probably taken multiple products already. It makes you wonder what he does for other clients, say one who wants implants. If someone came in claiming that they're unhappy with their current state and it has given them anxiety and depression for years, would he simply suggest they get therapy off onto a therapist and get a medication? I have a feeling he wouldn't. I regret this visit. A word to anyone in this office if you happen to read this: ask the client before they waste their time coming in if they have ever been to an ENT or allergist, because the doctor won't help them if they haven't. Although, after my experience, it looks like he'll push you in that direction anyway.

I haven't had any problems at all. I know many women that have capsular contraction or leakage, but I have not had any issues and I know it's due to the expertise of Dr Pober. I would also like to add that Dr Pober is one of the most ethical Plastic Surgeons I've met. He said to leave my implants as they only get better overtime whereas other Plastic Surgeons say to replace them every 5-10 years. Dr Pober never pressured me to do any additional surgery and always treated me with respect. Even years after the procedure, he has taken the time to answer additional questions regarding explant or implant revision.

I went in to take care of some "business". I did a lot of research and went through a lot of portfolios before I chose Dr. Sternschein, and can honestly say that I can't imagine what my life would be like had I chosen anyone else. He's not a surgeon, he is truly an artist. He did such an amazing job that nobody ever knows that I've had any work done at all- and isn't that how it should be? You should never look at someone and think, "Wow- they had plastic surgery". If it's done right, you should look at someone and think, "Wow, they look great!" I now live in California where there is an abundance of plastic surgery- and guess what? When I need more work done, I'm going all the way back to Jersey so that Dr. Sternschein can work his magic. He is reviled by other medical professionals we discussed him with. His rehab hospital charged Medicare for various procedures (including X-Rays) which they never performed. Whether this is outright fraud or merely incompetence we do not know. There are other reviews of this wretched physician on line attesting to the same brutal and sub-standard treatment. I only wish we had read them before we allowed him within an inch of my mother. Luckily her wound finally healed under the care of Mt. Sinai, and though she has horrifying scars from his surgery, we are grateful that she didn't lose either her leg or life to the MRSA. Stay away from this unpleasant and arrogant man.
