Dr. Westreich is an amazing and highly skilled facial plastic surgeon. I've been seeing him for over a year and have had several procedures done, including fat transfer, lip lift, corner lip lift, alar base reduction, temporalis lip augmentation, and chin augmentation. I also see him regularly for injections like Botox, Sculptra, and EZ Gel. I keep going back because I consistently see real results that still look very natural. As someone who has become pretty well-versed in plastic surgery (for better or worse!), I truly believe Dr. Westreich is the real deal. I originally found him through extensive online research and because he met a very specific set of criteria I had. I was looking for a facial plastic surgeon (not someone who also does body work), double board certified, with an elite educational background (I know that sounds a bit snobby, but it gave me peace of mind), an office in one of the more expensive Manhattan neighborhoods (sounds snobby again, I know!), a strong reputation for rhinoplasty (since it's one of the most technically challenging procedures), a professional and well-kept office, not cheap but not super expensive, and great bedside manner. Very few doctors checked all those boxes. I called each one, and ultimately chose Dr. Westreich--and I'm so glad I did. I'm extremely happy with all my procedures. A few things worth noting: Dr. Westreich's work is subtle and natural. If you're looking for something more dramatic or "snatched," you should be very clear about that during your consultation. He's also very comfortable saying "no" if he doesn't think a treatment is right for you. While that's what any ethical doctor should do, I felt Dr. Westreich was especially thoughtful about it. I even asked about a facelift, and he told me I wasn't there yet--something I think many other doctors would have been willing to do. He offers a same-day booking discount that requires a deposit, but you still have time to change your mind and receive a full refund. Some of the negative reviews seem to stem from misunderstandings about this policy. Personally, I appreciated the discount, never felt pressured, and always found the staff to be kind and professional. That said, if this type of booking structure doesn't sit well with you, this office may not be the right fit. I went in to get my lip filler dissolved and called ahead to discuss pricing. My main concern was my bottom lip, where I had two very prominent bumps. Dr. Westreich injected a dissolving agent into my bottom lip and asked me to schedule a follow-up appointment. At my follow-up, it was clear that one side had dissolved more than the other, but both bumps were still there. He injected the dissolving agent again. To my shock, the front desk charged me for this visit--without any prior mention that I'd be billed again! This was a follow-up appointment, and I had assumed it was part of the original treatment. Ultimately, I had to go to another practice to fully dissolve my filler. Even worse, the new provider was shocked that Dr. Westreich hadn't addressed the puffiness and migration in my top lip. I had been so focused on the lumps in my bottom lip that I didn't think to bring it up, but I would have expected a trained professional to notice and mention it. At the new practice, I had both my top and bottom lip dissolved properly. Dr. Westreich got the job done. Getting older with the classic sagging waddle was not what my wife wanted for me. I asked Dr. Westreich what he could do for me, and he said he could restore my jawline. Six months later, the waddle is gone. Dr. Westreich was compassionate and attentive throughout the process and explained what I should expect at each stage. Dr. Westreich seems like a nice enough guy, but his office staff are incredibly shady. Crystal and Laura are like high pressure used car sales people. I cannot begin to explain how awful these two women are and the fact that they represent Dr. Westreich is disturbing at best. Their billing practices are also incredibly unclear, and their practices with insurance, at least on the surface, do not seem to be ethical whatsoever. While I was in the office, Laura said to me, "If you want the best pricing, you have to pay in full now. Otherwise, the price goes up, and we won't honor this price again." These are not good people. I just would like everybody to know all the bad reviews, every single last one that I read are absolutely true- especially the one from 8 years ago about his bedside manner. It's obvious he will never change. This guy is a misogynist and doesn't listen to any of your concerns and will LITERALLY sit there with a needle near your eye as you're trying to stop him and explain to him you came in for DISSOLVING his previous (very bad) work. He wanted to give me MORE fillers instead. And used the needle near my eye to intimidate me into letting him just do whatever he wanted- just so that stupid Crystal lady can barge in and tell you your bill immediately after. Even if you believed none of what I am saying it's very obvious that placing a very long needle near your eye during a verbal consultation is possibly the worst textbook definition of bad bedside manner. Honestly felt a bit like I had been sexually assaulted or something from the first mishap / this incident combined. (I didn't even feel like writing the review for a very long time actually because I didn't even want to relive it again.) I had to really speak up and nearly yell to tell them not to dissolve an area that had NOT been previously filled and they all gaslighted the shit out me and acted like I was the crazy one. What a nightmare straight from a horror movie. Once we established I wanted dissolving he started to try to just dissolve ANY area of my face including my chin which had never had ANY filler in it. Wtf? I had to fight with this asshole to stop him from basically inflicting violence on me in the form of a needle being placed in my face for absolutely no reason! This was the most serious thing I have done and only my third time at any plastic surgeon. Furthermore- The filler from the cheek bones he did with OUT my consent had seeped into the areas between my nose and cheek neatly 2 weeks later. Therefore I wanted that area to be evaluated and corrected since it's very obvious he did not want that area to have filler- and was not what I had came in for. And instead he just wanted to stick it anywhere in my face to get me to shut up and walk out the door. Sooo I basically just came in so your needles stuck all over my face with no basis behind it? What a great service. He draws maps every appointment of where the fillers go and has it literally pulled up in the background but instead decided to listen to nothing I had said and without any hesitation he immediately started hovering over me trying to stick the needle in my face in places I did not come in for. Just want to reiterate again that The work he had previously done was ALREADY NOT what I had asked for- he started filling my cheeks up when I only came in for a slight undereye filler. This completely threw off the entire balance and heart shape face of mine and made it more oval which doesn't look right at all on me since I have a rather small head overall. It's been this way now for years and I look completely different and worse. The needles stimulate collagen and if they go in places you did not ask for there is NO dissolving that. Total con artist and piece of shit. There's no way this guy doesn't know what exactly he's doing to people. To me it seems like he enjoys it and has a deep hatred for women and their wishes to look better. So I've been going to Dr. Westreich since 2012--back when he had an office in Brooklyn and I have got to say--the man is brilliant. I may have been embarrassed about admitting that I got cosmetic injections when I first left this review (though admittedly, I did visit for ENT stuff as well back then), but now that I'm 43 (!), I'm perfectly happy saying I will not let anyone else touch my face and you shouldn't either. I look a full decade younger because of him--and I'm not exaggerating because I teach teenagers and they would tell me if I looked my age (they never believe me when I tell them how old I am). There are not enough stars on Yelp for me to give the amount of stars I would give to Dr. Westreich and his staff. Can doctor visits be fun? Not usually. Would most people say so? Probably not. But this team made every visit fun (while of course also keeping it professional and safe)! I recently visited Dr. Westreich for ear surgery. The first consultation confirmed for me he would be the best value for my investment. Not only was Dr. Westreich one of the top-ranked facial plastic surgeons in the city and clearly knew what he was doing - he was also better priced than all of the others, to boot. I vetted him from 20 surgeons in NYC. When it came down to Dr. Westreich and another surgeon, I landed on Dr. Westreich because of his cheerful bedside manor and fantastic composure - professional and calming, yet comedic. Additionally, when it came down to the surgery itself, Dr. Westreich has a unique way of performing the ear procedure which made me feel my ear was literally in the best of hands, and that my ear would come out with a better result than other surgeons might produce. He was able to explain the surgery to me in a way that allowed me to see exactly what would be going on during the procedure; he drew it out for me, making it visually as well as verbally clear to me. I saw Dr. Westreich and his team of bright staff multiple times pre- and post-surgery. He did not rush me through any of the appointments I held with him, and in fact spent extra time with me when he went ABOVE AND BEYOND helping me reduce acne on my face during one appointments, an appointment which wasn't intended for that purpose (most doctors make you come back in for separate issues), when he saw I was feeling incredibly insecure about the acne and it was impacting my confidence. I have him to thank for fixing my ear perfectly (work of art) and also fixing my face (acne).  I highly recommend Dr. Westreich and his office team. Unfortunately after speaking with Crystal King I decided to go to another doctor and didnt even bother to speak with the doctor. She was pushing me to pay a $2000 deposit for a procedure and telling me to provide insurance so the doctor can say my 16 year has a sinus issue and get more money... We were looking for a consult for a cosmetic procedure, she was pressuring to book without even providing a consult... I was looking for Dr Westriech opinion because he was highly spoken of and other surgeons suggested to my daughter she wait til shes older... but here she just wanted to speak about the deposit. She seems like a cheap marketer that rather then getting The doctor clientele ia scaring them away with her talk she seems like a scammer or desperate to get clients... This really turned the impression I had of this office. Go elsewhere these people handling this doctors office are petty and just want your money without even seeing the doctor. read more

Most likely the best doctor/doctor office I have ever been to. I went to doctor richard westreich because he was dual board certified both as an ENT and as a surgeon. I had had sinus problems for years. I went to Him during a sinus episode. I was so fed up with it I asked if we could do sinus surgery. Even though I had had potentially 20 sinus infections in the last 10 years the doctor would not agree to surgery yet. He gave me Some sprays to treat my sinus issue and said if I wanted to get surgery I should get a CT scan first. A month or so later I Got the scan and per review of the images had a deviated septum and some other structural issues. I went to his office to Review and he still did not push me to surgery but let me decide what I wanted to do. He spent about 30-45 minutes with me to discuss the issues / procedures / concerns I had. He is extremely personable, has an awesome bedside manner, and makes you feel confident and comfortable in him As a person and doctor. I had the surgery and have had 2 follow up visits. One of the visits I made last minute because I was uncomfortable a few days after surgery (congested) and his office made sure to get me in to relieve my congestion. Not only is he amazing but his staff is as well All 3 women that I spoke to there have been prefect. They are always happy and willing to answer questions whether I called by phone or stopped by randomly to the office. He and his staff all must really love their jobs, you can tell. I would highly recommend using him and his staff. Couldn't be any happier with the experience overall. read more

Dr. Westreich is amazing! Apparently I've had a deviated septum my whole life and didn't know it. I always knew my voice was kind of nasally and had trouble breathing through my nose, but I thought that's just the way it was. Well finally one day I got a new general physician and she said my nose seemed to be blocked and that I should visit an ENT doctor. So I got a referral to Dr. W and it turns out a bone in my nose was blocking my airflow almost 90%!! No wonder I could only breathe through one side most of the time. Anyways, I went under anesthesia for the surgery so I don't remember anything, but I felt very comfortable with Dr. Westreich and all his staff throughout the process, and they didn't tease me too much when I came out from being under and was talking gibberish. Now that it's all said and done I can breathe so much better, and can't believe I wasted so many years of my life thinking that was normal. read more

I went to see Dr. Westreich for sinus pain and he was great. I called at about 10 am and his staff answered right away and fit me in same day. I had used over the counter meds for about two days thinking it was just sinus congestion. By the time I realized that wasn't working I was in a lot of pain and desperate to see someone right away. Dr. Westreich was very thorough and responsive. He walked through the possible problems and checked them all. He prescribed antibiotics and laid out a course of treatment which was then handed to me in writing so I could know what to do and when to call if the problem continued. His staff called my pharmacy immediately and arranged everything so I just had to go pick up the meds. I really appreciated the details because when you are sick it's hard to remember everything the doctor says since you just want to get home and climb back into bed. read more

My nose was very crooked and now it's straight. no one is able to tell that I had surgery unless I tell them. I am SO GRATEFUL that I found Dr. Westreich. I had a crooked nose and an obstructed nostril from a previous surgery and car accident. It was effecting the way I posed for photos, and my ability to nail my high notes (I'm a singer). Having my nose done has been a dream of mine my entire life. I have attended many consultations, shook hands with many surgeons I knew this was the one for me after my first visit. Everything was enjoyable from the office atmosphere down to each individual staff member that I had the pleasure of meeting. Cutting clean to the chase, Doctor Westreich knew exactly what I wanted done after the consultation and did just that! I truly was not expecting a perfect result because I am aware with procedures like these you can not always anticipate a perfect outcome but my results were no short of PERFECT. I'd also like to add that this is my first ever procedure, and the team I was with on the day of my surgery made the entire experience pleasurable. I was catered to from the moment I walked in the door(not just the day of my surgery, EVERY VISIT). Had an appointment with Dr. Westreich for a septo-rhinoplasty. He seemed arrogant, but competent, so I decided to go with him for the procedure. However, the girl working the front desk (Lauren) is completely incompetent, which is why I wouldn't recommend him. Just wanted to save someone else from the frustration of dealing with her. When you book a doctor, make sure the staff is good too, b/c they have to deal with insurance/hospitals etc. so they are an important factor in this process. Update: Due to the emails I have been getting, I realized my post wasn't clear: I ended up using another surgeon, not Dr. Westreich. I could tell from my very first appointment with Dr. Richard Westreich that he genuinely cared about his patients in and out of the office. I went to him because I had a deviated septum and I suffered from chronic sinusitis as a teenager; Dr. Westreich is one of few surgeons who is board certified in both cosmetic plastic surgery and in surgical procedures related to ear, nose, and throat and was able to provide honest medical recommendations in both domains. The actual surgery took a little more time than expected because Dr. Westreich wanted to ensure the best results possible because my case was a little more difficult, but the pain post surgery was completely gone within two weeks and I saw drastic improvements of my results even as little as one month post surgery. I had no second doubts whatsoever choosing Dr. Westreich as my surgeon and I am most thankful for the significant improvement in the quality of my life since the procedure, both functionally and aesthetically. Dr. Westreich made a daunting treatment plan and process completely manageable and the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming. From the time I walked into his office until the time I left, I felt comfortable and at ease. I'm extremely shocked at some of the poor reviews Dr. Westreich and his staff are receiving. I first found Dr Westreich around winter in 2011 in hopes to fix both functional and cosmetic issues with my nose. I had previously seen another surgeon who said the function of my nose was fine which was clearly not the case because I couldn't breathe. Dr. Westreich not only found that problem but others. I had my procedure done in January 2012 I have been stopped numerous times by people saying my nose is beautiful, not knowing I had surgery I informed them of him and have sent him over three nose surgeries since. All who are as happy as I am with my results. After such amazing results with my nose I decided to fill my lips, which once again was beyond my expectations. I have recommended Dr. Westreich more times then I can imagine, and I will continue to spread to word about him. He has changed my life, the lives of my family members, and friends. A few years ago I noticed that I started getting some ugly wrinkle lines around my mouth and eyes (crows feet). I knew I was too young for a facelift but really wanted to do something about it other than cheap, ineffective wrinkle creams. After consulting with Dr. W. I felt very comfortable going with the Juvederm approach he recommended. The results were amazing. Overnight I noticed a dramatic reduction in the lines around my mouth and eyes. I could not be happier, and wish I would've done this a few years when they first began to pop up. I feel blessed to have found such a reliable surgeon here in Manhattan, even though I didn't technically go under the knife. Dr is truly an artist. My nose was crooked, Long tip and had a bump on top of having a deviated septum. He made my nose look so natural and cute. No one even knows I got a nose job. Dr. Westreich is an excellent surgeon. He is a precisionist. I was never able to breathe out of one of my nostrils and the point of my nose was tilted to one side.
