I left a review last year and the company apparently responded to "investigate further." I did not see the response as the matter was closed out as we were compelled to file a claim with our insurance company. Either way, I felt compelled to finish the review and stand by the single star review and would not recommend this company. Not sure what, if anything Affiliated would have done as we worked closely with the "move coordinator" Ms. "G" (U 84/Affiliated Van Lines Of Lawton, Inc). After notifying her of the missing items and the extra ~1K lbs of someone else's HHG, we were essentially told it was on the driver and his crew and that our HHGs had been "fenced off." She wrote, "At this point, you will have to file a claim. We will perform a warehouse search to make sure we don't have any of your household items. The claims email is claims@affiliatedlawton.com." They washed their hands of it and there was no follow up on the warehouse search. We were directed to the company in Florida that was contracted to move the HHG from OK to CA. Essentially, Affiliated washed their hands of the claim and then the Suddath (815 South Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32207) people offered - literally - pennies on the dollar for the claim. Affiliated has done numerous jobs for me. From packing and storing, moving furniture, and delivering things that I could not have done myself. They are always professional and get the job done. I was very impressed with the way that they packed my pool table to ensure that it would not be damaged. I would highly recommend them for moving and storing. read more

Affiliated Van Lines of Lawton recently packed and moved me. I cannot overstate how much I was dreading this move, but Affiliated Van Lines made it super simple. The ladies who packed my stuff were great - very professional with great attitudes. I can't say that I would be on their par if the roles were reversed. Yes, the Army chose who my movers were, but I know you can make a request at transportation (if you have a preference). If I had to choose my movers, I would request Affiliated Van Lines. Affiliated Van Lines also offers one of two places in Lawton to weigh your vehicle for a DITY move. The scales are right across from their office building on 2121 SW Washington. Super easy to weigh and the ladies were very nice in the office. $12 per vehicle or $15 for two vehicles. read more

This was the worst military move of my 25 year career. I've never had furniture missing (Sofa, loveseats). How does one misplace something as big as that. In addition to that, I had several items missing that could never be replaced (i.e. my Father's flag from his funeral, high school and college diplomas, signed guitar, Sorority gifts and initiation documents). In addition to that had items in my shipment that weren't mine. Totally unacceptable and can't understand how the military continues to use this organization for military moves. Unfortunately, it is too late for me but my Congressmen will hear about the gross negligence of caring for my property. I don't want this to happen to another service member or their families. read more

Pack date 25 August 2016 Unfortunately being that I am military I didn't choose my movers. This is the second time I have been moved by the military and the first time was phenomenal and I was moving a 3 bed 2 bath apartment and they were so amazing!! This time I am only moving a barracks room. Which is basically a master bedroom and I already have two boxes that are already packed because I didn't unpack them myself. First of all, they were supposed to contact me the day or two prior to the pack date, Thursday. I was unable to get in contact with anyone and I had to go to my transportation office to actually get in touch with someone the Wednesday before. They told me they had not gotten to scheduling and to call back around 4:30 or 5 that same day. Mind you this was scheduled the week prior. Anyways, when I called, Raymond (who I spoke with), told me he still hadn't looked at the scheduling but looked and proceeded to tell me they would be there around 1. He then asked me if I would like a call if something changes. I said yes. So Thursday, they did not show up at 1 so, around 2 I called and Raymond told me that they should be on there way at that he would call them( so much for calling if something changed). He didn't ask to call me back nor did he even try to call back and let me know anything. So another hour goes by and I was about to call and ask where they were and the finally showed up. Now no one said sorry we were late or anything. Instead I showed them what was needing to be packed and they huffed and puffed because they didn't bring enough supplies or boxes. As I was watching them pack I slowly grabbed things that I did not ruined and decided to take them with me.They were very rough with my breakables and packed my stuff in a very rough manner. I feel like they wouldn't want their valuables packed in that same manner! As I was watching them I was getting more and more upset. I grabbed somethings that I refused to let them pack and continued to watch. Now, in the middle of this they had to call someone to bring more boxes. So they told me they would wait outside until the other people showed up. Which is fine. But I did tell them everything that was being packed the day before but I guess they didn't put that into consideration?? They left everything in a whirlwind and walked out. So since they didn't want to clean up their mess I did it for them. I would think that being that they are working with military they would be a little more respectful... Never mind I would think being that they are a professional company they would be a little more respectful! I'm very disappointed in this company and hope the army drops their contract with his company and finds people who have a little bit more pride! read more

Worst move of our 24 year military career! They were scheduled to pack us on Tuesday and Wednesday then load the truck on Thursday. They did not show up at all on Tuesday and was an hour and a half late on Wednesday. They were late again on Thursday and did not bring a big enough truck to hold our household goods. We had over $2000 worth of damage including irreplaceable items. read more

This company was used to move a 2 bed 1 bath apartment from Enid to Lawton, OK. Overall the packers were nice and appeared to do a good job of packing as did the movers who picked up my HHG. However once the HHG arrived many of the pieces had scratches or were otherwise damaged. Luckily I was able to fix the majority of the damage. However I did put a claim in for 4 pieces of furniture. My biggest point of contention was a portable kitchen island with a stone top. When they received the island there was a chip of the stone top broken off. It was a defect from the factory but it was not noticeable and did not affect its use. When I received the piece back the stone top could no longer be attached to the frame, the main support leg was cracked and all the catering wheels were missing. They are using the rationale that since there was a chip on the stone top to begin with that they would only reimburse me for 50% of the purchase price. Several emails and phone calls have been made with no luck. I am overall very unhappy with the move and the quality of their customer service. If this company is used based on my experience you HHG will be damaged and they will do their best to not reimburse you for the loss. read more
