Unless you're a bigger party, I recommend paying the extra amount for a private window seat for 2 otherwise you'd be seated with strangers. It comes with a 4 course meal, and there's a bar on the boat but that's extra. We were shown to our seats right when we boarded and then Kevin was our waiter, super nice. We departed at 7pm and Kevin let us know our first meal would be arriving around 7:30 so we had time to go up to the observation deck. It was very windy but it was still cool to see us leave port and go out to the Charleston Harbor which was nice. There's a covered area in the back and then it's open at the front and that was definitely windy. The meals were so good, we honestly said the food was probably the best food we had on our whole trip! It started off with a she crab soup which was yummy. Second meal was a salad with sweet salad dressing that was also great. Third meal you got to pick your entree, I did the braised short rib that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband did the grilled salmon with same sides. Both were absolutely delicious. I could've eaten it all but wanted to save room for dessert. I did the chocolate torte and my husband did the cheesecake, again so delicious. We also added the bubbly package which was an extra $35 but since it was a special occasion it was worth it. It was my first time kayaking in costal waters but I felt very comfortable with our guide. She was very familiar with the waterways and educated on the local wildlife. The tour was amazing! We had perfect weather, calm water, and several site points. It was cool seeing the pluff mud marshes up close! Please note: COA is located off Folly Rd which happens to be a main road to Folly Beach. Thankfully I did the 9:00am slot, because there was bumper to bumper traffic along Folly Rd by the time the tour ended around 11:30pm.

She acting like I was crazy for asking and then basically said, "that's double dipping, it's not like CVS where you can stack coupons." Seriously! Then when my mom said that was deceptive marketing, she sat there and argued with her. Just good people. They taught us about the ecosystem and various animals that inhabit it. We pulled crab traps and got to handle wildlife as we learned about it. You get time to walk the Boneyard on Capers Island and it is an experience like no other. It is the most pristine beach I have ever seen. Before we boarded our boat to go back to the marina, our captain took time to show my middle kid how to throw a casting net. Very cool people. Perfect mix of education and fun! I was pleasantly surprised to find free street parking. We boarded the boat and headed out in the harbor. It was a beautiful night on the water and bonus, we got to see the sun set. They played a little music but mostly the captain gave us history of the harbor. We saw some old military ships and a couple of forts and went under the suspension bridge. They sell snacks, alcohol, soda and ice cream. I ordered a Pepsi and a chocolate chip ice cream cookie. And bonus, there is a bathroom on board. The staff was friendly. I would take another cruise with Charleston Harbor Tours.

We weren't sure what…read moreto expect because the weather was rainy, so we chose an inshore, but he has several boats for offshore, near shore, and eco type excursions. Captain Dustin was in contact with us to adjust times based on the tides, which ensured us a great time catching fish! You can't just book a fishing trip based on schedule, it has to be based on tides which change by an hour every day. So he adjusted it for us. All four of us caught several nice sized Red Drum and Black drum and a sting Ray. He baited our hooks, put us onto fish and we had a great time and it was a memorable day for my adult kids and me.
