I have chronic injuries and Fibromyalgia and they've always have helped a great deal w my pain and stress Forgot to mention if you're not used to Thai massage then DO NOT opt for it. It's so much more intense than Swedish massage and includes stretching and the therapist placing you in awkward poses to stretch your muscles... I had never had Thai massage and didn't know it including this crazy stretching... if you're used to it then it's probably good but I was shocked and felt beat up... This place is amazing. I have taken so many friends here and they love it! Just know when you go that this is a Chinese Reflexology massage, not a typical massage place. They speak very little English. But they are amazing and the prices are so affordable. It is hard to find Chinese Reflexology places in Northern Colorado, I have only found one other place in Ft Collins and I would not recommend it. I'll say this, they were packed and don't like walk ins. Make an appointment. If they're busy they are not interested in walk ins and kind of blow them off. I never thought it possible to actually say it was a horrible massage. I had visited this place several times before and have decent massages. Tonight, I got it I massage until the male therapist exactly where I was hoping for focus and relief (my legs and feet) oh what he did was rub on my upper back and shoulder blades...over and over ....and over and over again. i prompted him during the massage several times that I did not want any more back massage....but PLEASE my legs and feet!!!! I have never done this before, but about 45 minutes into the massage I actually stood up off the table and pointed at my feet and ankles to PLEASE massage feet. I was on my feet all day long I was hoping for a relief. Then he started repeating 'No English no English no English'. That's not a problem for me as the human language of pointing and touching my legs and feet needed no language skills. I laid back down He rubbed my calves a little bit. Never turning me over during massage and in the end not one time did even touch my ankles or feet! . The pain and fatigue I've been on my feet all day found no relief. This is absolutely the worst massage ever. I don't care if he speaks English or not, but it's very clear that he had NO idea how to even give a massage?!? My partner also got one and reported the same results, his guy just rubbed the same spot repeatedly over and over for 1 hour. Neither of these guys even flipped us over to hit the spots missed during the face down. I've been to this business several times and I've generally gotten decent massages. This time it was absolutely horrible and I feel completely ripped off. Then when I was paying even laughed. 'No English' ...... which is irrelevant from the human language pointing and actually rubbing on the parts of my legs that I wanted him to work on. Not your typical foo foo massage studio but it is a typical reflexology/ Asian/Thai massage place. This is the real deal and something your body will thank you for. Excellent "Combo" massage. I was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon and received prompt service. The $39 combo massage consisted of 30 minutes in a typical communal massage room with a foot soak, scalp and face massage, shoulder, arm and hand massage, then the best foot and calf massage ever. This part you are fully clothed and in an open room so wear loose pants you can pull the legs up to your knees and preferably a tank top so your lower legs, arms and shoulders are accessible. Then they give you a pair of slippers to wear as you are moved to a private room to disrobe from the waists up. You are covered with a towel and then enjoy a wonderfully deep tissue back massage for the next 30 minutes. It hurt so good and was definitely overdue. My masseuse asked several times if the pressure was okay to make sure I was comfortable. $39 is a steal and I left a huge "Thank You" tip on my way out. I will definitely stop here again each time I am in town. If you need a massage give them a shot. read more

Not for me. They sat you get what you lay for, but No matter what the cost-this is not worth it. I must have had an off experience because I found this place through excellent review. I called and was able to make an easy appointment for a deep tissue massage. I have had probably 50 deep tissue massages in my life, and even had Thai massages in Thailand and this was the most painful, unrelaxing, unsafe experience of my life. Two days later and the headaches haven't stopped. The pressure was so heavy and rough. Not slow, or relaxing, or working up to it, just rapid very hard movements. And by hard I mean the pressure was so hard my throat actually hurt when I left from my face being pushed down. I have had deep tissues in the past where I was disappointed they did not go deeper, but this was just plain painful without any comfort. The technique was odd and when the employee started stretching my body, it felt incredibly unsafe. I have never been stretched during a deep tissue. Literally felt like my arms were going to snap. The pressure was never checked in on and when I was asked two questions, there was a language barrier and I just said, "I'm sorry I don't understand. I was cringing in pain and lifting my limbs and the masseuse kept going. I don't like my legs massaged but was never asked so I kept moving them but it didn't matter. I could not relax because I was just breathing through the pain. Then came the hot towels. My back today felt burnt and I woke up in so much pain. I am not sure the training or technique here, but finding a knot and pushing on it as hard as you can and beating on it is not a deep tissue massage. There are no waivers or anything you sign. There is no discussion to indicate what you may not want or to select a man or woman. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean, but I woke up in ten times more pain then when I walked in. Also never had a massage without a head or hand rub. But, at that point I was just counting down the minutes. read more

Ru Yi Massage is AWESOME! I'm so grateful it's here because it helps manage my muscle tightness from work. It's very easy to schedule and to get in at the last minute if you need to, although they prefer that you call to make an appointment, even 15 minutes. The massage therapists are friendly, and many of them have been there for a long time. I like the 1 hour foot massage. You'll be fully clothed for that one, just make sure you wear pants that you can push up or roll up over your knees. There's a bit of a language barrier, so if you want more or less pressure, you can ask for "harder" or "softer" and the therapist will adjust the pressure. read more

I have relatives that have gone here, but had never myself until recently. I was suffering from extreme pain on the portion of muscle from neck to right shoulder, and in a miraculous hour, it was fixed! An added bonus was that as I was walking up to the door - (Yes, I was a walk-in) the placard outside announced a $39 special for a combination of a foot massage and a back massage. I was taken into the side room where a number of people were reclined in chairs getting massaged on their arms, hands, calves, and had their feet soaking in buckets. It turns out that a head massage and all the above are part of the foot massage! It lasted 30 minutes and was wonderful! Next, I was led to a private room where I was asked to disrobe my upper body, lie down, and put a sheet over me. I communicated that I had the shoulder/neck pain as best I could . (No one seems to speak English) The massage was wonderful! It was rather intense, and I had to ask for a bit lighter. At one point, hot rocks were used and it was so much relief to my muscles! I felt as though stress and tension just melted away. The next day, I was sure i had bruises all over, and actually asked someone to take a look, but there were none. The following day, I felt nothing but great, healthy, vibrant and alive! Pain free! These are the masters of their craft! The reason I did not give 5 stars, is that I felt having someone explain everything to me in English, like, what would happen, how long each step would take, what was included, if I had any areas of concern, etc. would have been a great help. read more
