I've lived in Kings Park for four years and I've been coming here for just as long. While I've never had a bad experience, my experiences have been inconsistent. Sometimes decent, sometimes amazing. Had a bad manicure there, they filed my bails down too low, I wanted some of the white nail to show. Also had a bad pedicure, the man dug into the side of the nail on my big toe, causing pain which bothers me two weeks later! I cannot really recommend this place. Absolutley terrible! Went for a basic pedicure , it was expensive and the polish job was terrible. I returned 2 days later to have corrected and they tried to tell me it was my fault because I must have gone to the pool or beach which was not true , and then wanted to charge me an additional $15 to fox the polish. This nail salon is horrible. They use dirty metro cards to remove your nails and don't change the paper on the table in the waxing rooms. I'm not sure but I don't think all of their techs are licensed. This place has gone downhill. read more

Just an had an absolutely crappy experience. Started with burning my foot in the foot bath. The water was so hot it burned the hell out of my foot they never tested the water to check temperature. Sunny the nail person could care less. From there got a really crappy pedicure and manicure my nails were not even cut straight at that point I just wanted out. Will NEVER go back here again. I am so happy Affinity has opened in Kings park! Ever since I moved to this area 2 years ago I wasn't able to find a nail place that I wanted to return to. Now that Affinity is here, I don't go to any other nail salons. Their service is excellent. I always get the spa pedicure, they wrap your feet and legs in warm towels, and use stones to massage your legs. They always have a full staff and I have never been rushed out in order for them to help someone else. Everyone is very nice and prices are fair. The Salon is always clean which makes me feel very comfortable. If you haven't gone here yet, I would definitely give it a try, it is the best nail salon with the best service in the area. Second post because my nails look amazing!!; Just got my nails done by May and I couldn't be more happy!!!! Affinity taught me about SNS powder gel a few months ago and that's what I have been getting done, since then my nails have become super strong (these are my natural nails with powder on top) and my nails always look amazing! I showed May picture of this design I wanted and she made it exactly how I wanted. She is very patient and made sure she got it right and that I was happy with my results. This is my favorite nail salon in Kings Park! I always get a SNS manicure and a pedicure. Always top notch work; and there is something wrong (smudge/color discrepancy ect.) they are always so nice with working it out. (Not that I personally have ever complained but I do see other customers request changes) Love love love this place! read more

Yesterday after work I ran to affinity Nail just for a regular pedi. I was like great I don't have to wait I picked my color quick sat down. Now the lady that is going to do by pedi proceeds to shove a paper in my face with the different types of pedicures they offer. I tell her no thank I just need a regular pedi. Then she tries to explain what they offer. Once again I say no thank you I just need a regular pedicure today. I think this was the fasts pedi I've had there. I was literally done in 10mins. The last time I was there a different lady took a while on my feet, plus I had more done that day. I need to find a place where I don't feel like you just want my money. Unhappy client. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Just walked out from getting a gel manicure and it looks like it was done by a child. There are multiple missed spots., speckles in the polish and she never even shaped my nails! I actually contemplated not tipping because I was so unhappy (I just couldn't do that). Never again...So many others have left this salon and I am finally learning my lesson why. Went in at 3:35 for gel powder. Got put at a chair quickly. They soaked my nails then the woman got up to do another persons nails. I sat there for 20 min with the tinfoil on my nails and asked if i was waiting for the lady she got up to do had to be done before someone was doing my nails. No response, but the nail tech called another tech over to take the polish off...that's all. I waited until 4:20 for the woman to be done and ready to do my nails. Why didn't they say from the start that someone couldn't do it for so long? I would have left, that is why! This place is clearly not doing as well as the past, they are short staffed most days and crap like this is the reason. Another time, I had red powder from the gel stained all over my fingers and asked for the woman to remove it. Her response was, "it will come off eventually." Seriously? Really horrible customer service, this is not my first, second or third bad experience with situations like this...lesson learned and I won't be back. read more

I was totally rushed to pick out a color and rushed to get a pedicure / gel manicure. It was not relaxing and the people who work there are not interested in helping you. Been back after getting a gc that I needed to use and so happy I did! I asked for the owner to do the powder gel and they came out Beautiful!!!!! I got the French. Yes, they are more expensive than other salons, but you get what you pay for. The powder gel does not ruin my nails. And stays on longer without any chipping or splitting. My nails have not looked better! Give them another try like I did. My daughter got the nail polish that lasts a week. Can't remember the name, but it's $2 more and well worth it. Don't hesitate just save your pennies then go. They also have a reward program, so you can get $$$ off services, etc..., which I have already done. Good luck. read more

Horrible. They were insulting and rude and did not know what they were doing. One of the boys doing a clients nails kept coughing and did not cover his mouth or wear a mask. The owner kept going over saying he was doing it wrong. They kept yelling across the room eyebrow wax and I kept saying no I am waiting for someone. Mind you I was the only one there besides the woman getting her nails done. She had to tell them how to do her nails! The person I was with told me they insulted her she was very upset when she came out. Very inexperienced workers, We will never go back!!! read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is super duper clean...they use plastic throw away liners for the pedi tubs and new equipment for each manicure. They are building a great reputation in our town because of their great service. Tried this place out a few times for SNS manicure. I'm NOT new to getting my nails done... and I was impressed when I first went. Unfortunately, the last time I went was the worst nail experience and I will never go back! I attempted to make appointments with specific nail techs, and each time they never honor my appointment. I'm not very picky about who does my nails, but I thought that was unprofessional. Next, they rushed me so much it was very uncomfortable. My cuticles didn't get cut and didn't even get lotion or a nice polishing of the nails before she was done. They felt so rough, uneven, and now a week later, 4 of my nails are all chipped and broken. (SNS should last at least 3 weeks!) I was really disappointed. They were unorganized and cared more about getting me out so they could take the next girl, and did a horrible job. Never again! They have potential but need to stay organized and focus on doing a quality job. read more

This was the first time I went to the salon, and I was nervous to begin with, since I have never had candeling done before. But the technician dropped a burning piece of paper on my skin and essentially burned a part of my upper chest area. I didn't want to make a scene so I quietly spoke to the cashier and he basically acted like he couldn't care, and offered to refund me $10 of the $35 I paid. I was one of their first customers when they opened. I've referred friends and family to the salon and was a regular. I've never had a problem in all my years of going until now. I went for a powder gel and right from the begging I could tell the manicurist was either new or new to doing powder gel. I thought about stopping and asking for someone else. I wish I did. About an hour into the manicure (that's already long enough) the powder was looking weird, Wasn't sticking to my nails, color was uneven and patchy. She just kept looking at them, she knew something was wrong. She continued to keep applying the top coat over and over again, at least 5 times. Nothing was working. She left and came back with a different bottle. Tried that, didn't work. Finally another manicurist came over and started laughing at my nails. So then all the workers had to see and came over and all pointed and laughed out loud immaturely. At this point I was not happy at all. I said I don't think this is funny, how much longer is it going to be? And one of the other ladies explained she forgot a step when doing the powder so that's why it didn't work. They continued to laugh and chuckle. I explained I've been here for over an hour already I need to go to work. She said it would only take 2 min. Well 30 minutes later my nails still looked horrible. Gel powder stuck in my cuticles, parts of my nail are missing powder, it looks like I had my nails painted by a 10 year old. The manager asked to see my nails and I said "they aren't good at all I'm not happy" he offered me $5 off my service and said "i don't know what happened she's normally very good". Yeah okay. Try to sucker me into believing that all you want. I wasn't going to pay at all but since he wouldn't budge and I needed to go to work I just sucked it up and paid. Less than one star would be my honest rating. Been going to this nail salon for a year or so. Yesterday I went there and I waited nearly 45 minutes to get my nails done while other people were taken before me. A simple comment of "they have an appointment" would have been perfectly fine. After saying something the lady finally helped my friend I was still waiting. After waiting all this time I had asked for nail polish remover because being at the nail salon all day was not the plans. It was a huge problem and of course the foreign talk came on. Im sorry but do not talk about me in chinese. We all speak english talk in english. After finally being helped the lady ripped me out of my chair very roughly when I was perfectly capable of walking across to the other chair so I went back and grabbed my stuff and walked alone. She went to help someone else rather than finishing me. Once at the new chair the lady was extremely rude and kept pulling my arms around that I now have bruises from. Never again will I ever go back there. I will be going to an American nail salon from this point forward. I don't pay $35 for nails plus $5 for a tip to be talked about and treated rudely. Thank you but no thanks. Hope it goes out of business my friends, family and everyone I told to go there will no longer be going and that was nearly half of their customers. read more

Then I called at 6:45 p.m. and asked if I could come right down for a regular pedicure. I was told it was too late, they close at 7:30 p.m. They just opened!
