Instead of presenting balanced coverage, certain voices are elevated while others are ignored or unfairly portrayed. The reporting can also be inconsistent and sometimes lacks context, which makes it hard to fully trust what's being shared. I understand it's a small, volunteer-based publication, but if you're going to cover civic matters, journalistic standards matter. Disappointed to say this paper no longer feels like it represents the whole Fullerton community -- just a narrow slice of it.

The air buzzed with literary excitement. There were plenty of books for all tastes. I personally love literary fiction, and I was very excited to find Mark Salzman. I overheard other people gushing over their hidden gem finds, too. In the end, I got 8 books, 2 postcards, and 1 tote for less than $26. On a normal day, would I have left with all 8 books? I was looking for a fantasy book for my teenage brother and the employee was incredibly helpful giving recommendations, finding the "teen book of the month." I didn't even know they had a teen book of the month! The organization of the store was great. The categories and book selections that were specially displayed were especially helpful. For example, in their AAPI stories section I was able to find some really interesting books that I might have not otherwise seen. A selection of their Barnes and Noble specialty book covers that feature some classic works (like Pride and Prejudice and Winnie the Pooh) were on sale for between $8-$12. For such a beautiful high quality book, I would definitely return to purchase one of those at that price. The other books though were a bit pricey.
