Similarly, when I went to checkout one hour later, I was quickly and warmly attended to. You read that right. One! Hour! There were a lot of people, but it honestly felt nice. The air buzzed with literary excitement. There were plenty of books for all tastes. I personally love literary fiction, and I was very excited to find Mark Salzman. I overheard other people gushing over their hidden gem finds, too. In the end, I got 8 books, 2 postcards, and 1 tote for less than $26. On a normal day, would I have left with all 8 books? No, but I definitely would have left with 4 of them for almost the same price. Great finds with great prices. Will definitely come back on a regular day, too.

This location is in the Target shopping plaza, and getting in and out can be a bit of a headache. The traffic flow feels confusing, and drivers don't always seem on yielding, which makes the experience a little more stressful before you park! :((( Inside, the setup is pretty standard--nothing particularly unique compared to other Barnes & Noble stores. Prices also seem to be creeping up, and the "Last Chance" section isn't what it used to be, with fewer paperback deals and more generic selections. You need MORE sales and promotions!! I did leave with a book, but honestly, it also made me want to swing by the library next time. :(((

Entered with an old credit voucher worth $50 from previous book sales. I figured that I would get a…read morefew books from a local bookstore rather than online because I already had the credit here. Firstly, I searched their online inventory website for the desired books. Website reported books in stock but were not on selves. The staff couldn't locate them either and said they would update the inventory. So the inventory site is unreliable. Secondly, upon ringing me up for $20, I produced the voucher thinking it would cover the entire cost. Unfortunately, it is only good for half the price of your purchase. When I expressed my confusion about this policy. The tall crotchety old man raised his voice and loudly repeated: "Good for HALF the purchase!" Sir there is no only else inside the store. It's not loud in there. I was your only customer all afternoon. There was no need to raise your voice at me. How embarrassing to get to the ripe old age of grey and still be throwing tantrums at paying customers no less! I should have left the store without purchasing anything but I was just so stunned! I understand that I failed to thoroughly read the small text at the bottom of the voucher that explains their policy. The old man could have simply referred to the text on the voucher instead of displaying such disrespectful behavior. Take your business elsewhere because your patronage is obviously not valued here.

There was another gentleman shopping while we came in who had a dog, and the owner made sure to give him lots of love after the dog's dad checked out. He was quick to help when I asked where a specific author would be, and offered me similar reccomendations. I was short of time when I came in, so I will definitely be back. Their hours are posted Tuesday from 10 AM to 6 PM. I've been waiting out front for 30 minutes and nobody is here and this is not a first.

i walked away with a light heart on my first visit to untold story. that's not to say, however,…read morethat the bookstore didn't have anything physical in stock. first of its kind in anaheim, untold offers a great selection of literature from children's picture books to young adult romance novels, and offers space for purchasers (and non-purchasers) to lounge and read. if you don't want to read, they also have free coffee and a microwave for you to heat your food, so you could eat and drink coffee as you please! on some weekends, they host free events, like loteria nights as well as community-led workshops. occasionally, they have an art exhibit in the back you can browse and potentially buy from (they actually have one up right now for november)! the owner of the store, magda, was super welcoming to me. before i had left the shop, she quickly gave me a rundown of their unique offerings, and although i didn't say this out loud, i could tell why the place was so meaningful not only to her but to the rest of anaheim. this is more than a bookstore. this is a place of refuge made for the community, by the community. check it out, and enjoy the space whenever you're in the area!

After he mentioned it, I looked it up on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by the reviews. This is a cute bookstore! The prices are unbeatable! I wanted the Twilight book set for a gift and found it here, for a lot cheaper than other places. The set was in great condition too. The bookstore is very organized and clean. It was pretty easy to navigate the store and find books. Service was good too. The person offered to help us look for what we wanted. I would come back here for more books in the future.
