talk about a comfort bookstore. this place has seen me through quite a few college ditch days. i used to leave fullerton college just to come and read a book or two, spend time at the cafe, and get some writing done on my laptop. but in terms of all the barnes bookstores i've been to, this is definitely one that doesn't have enough in stock. if you're looking for something trendy, sure, you'll find it here. indie books that are more fan centered? probably gonna have to drive to the one in orange. however this fullerton location is absolutely wonderful. the service and staff is great. and the cafe baristas are always on top of their game!

Barnes & Noble is my happy place. They have a giant variety of books. I am a Harry Potter fan, so I love how they have a big Harry Potter area for Potter fans.Excited for a new book release? It's at Barnes & Noble right away! There's even a toy/collectibles area and a coffee shop. What's not to like? The service is kind, and there's even a customer service desk just in case. Books are sold at a reasonable price, and I just love sitting and reading in the junior area. There is no better place for book lovers, and I love it.

    - ~ * SUPER NEAT & STOCKED INSIDE * ~ - This Barnes & Noble isn't dead silent (like the others I've been to) which makes my visit here enjoyable! I love their little recommendation tabs that they have on books. Their Studio Ghibli section & cd section always have great things. They are very limited so get them while you can!

They have everything here!! Every new releases, every lowkey books, special editions, etc, and all the sections are complete and super organized. I wanted to mention Nadine in particular. Spectacular, amazing service, person. It's so relaxing and nice when you meet people who actually loves - And is passionate about their job. She was guiding us around the store, recommending us alot of books and made me get some of them too !! Super amazing store and stafff

Some of their gift card designs!! I was so excited to see these !!

I love this Barnes & Noble! It's close-by to so many yummy food places and is one of the perfect places to decompress after running some errands or doing some shopping. The staff at this location is always so kind to me and really helpful when it comes to finding books (even if they are obscure authors that they don't carry LOL). I always take advantage of their buy 1, get one 30% (or 50% if you're lucky!!) deals when I swing by for some books. I'm always so particular with my books and how they look, and this Barnes & Noble does an excellent job at keeping their collection as pristine as they can. I look forward to coming back again soon

I've been on a kindle kick lately making good use of my library card. The Housemaid has been on my list for a while and the OC libraries don't have it available. I decided to treat myself to a new book and I'm glad I did. I forgot how lost you can get in a Barnes and Noble and I almost left with a stack of books. The real standout at this location was the staff. There were at least four instances where I encountered staff checking in with guests throughout their experience asking if they needed help. They stopped what they were doing to help shoppers find the books they were looking for with such a great attitude. I also loved how many stands there were for book recommendations. They even had little fun ones like the "blind date" recommendations wrapped in brown paper with a small description. It's so creative and a fun way to entice visitors for something new to read. I signed up for their new rewards program that allows you to get stamps for your purchases. After signing up I receive a $1 off coupon for a grande or venti iced coffee from the in-store Starbucks. While I was checking out for my coffee I stumbled on chocolate frogs with a free wizard card. Safe to say that it was a great Barnes and Noble trip and I can't wait to come back.

I love everything about the Fullerton location. I like that it's right by my nails salon, Papillon, a few places to eat---by the way avoid Hoshi sushi I got food poisoning there---Aside from that. I love everything here. I have made some really lovely collections and hauls of books, here, and connections with employees. The only thing I want Barnes & Noble corporate to do is take Afterpay. Make it so! Today I purchased some of the books during their big double reward, sale, and one of them that I'm super excited about is basically about a squatter finding romance. Back when Barbie the movie first came out they also had a great deal of Barbie treats. Not to mention some of the prettier dolls that I grew up with the 80s and 90s. Can't wait for more lovely trips to my favorite Barnes & Noble's. I also really do like the café at this one. I'm not trolling I know some other people were not so thrilled and I'm sorry for their experience. I also like the Harney and sons tea.

Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else; there are countless record stores in Anaheim with actual inventory, quality control, and staff who don't treat customers like garbage. The OC Record Show has been a staple in the OC community for music lovers and vinyl collectors…read more They have shows on the last Sunday of every month except for December. Early admission is $10 to get in before 10am and general admission is $5 after 10am. To get here, there is a free parking lot with a good amount of spots. Inside, they have a bunch of vendors with so many crates to dig through. Vendors all have different prices and selection of genres. Wifey and I had a fun time perusing around and ended up leaving with a Getz/Gilberto and Snoh Aalegra vinyls. I would definitely recommend checking out the show for those looking to explore new records for their collection.

I also happen to be a vinyl collector so I thought this would be a nice little adventure. Let's see how it went. Located a stone's throw from Knotts Berry Farm at the UFCW Union Hall, the OC Record Show is a crate digger's paradise. There's plenty of parking in their lot and it's free. It's $5 to get in after 10am. Early bird is $10 and you can get in at 7. The space is huge and there are tons of vendors. It's not just records but most physical media. CDs, cassettes....i think I even spotted so laser discs. Some vendors are better organized than others but as always, your patience can be rewarded! The OC Record Show has a special guest signing each month so I'll definitely come back based on who it is. The signing itself was very organized and the employees were all very helpful. Looking forward to seeing who is next (follow them on instagram if you're curious too). Highly recommended!

Maybe it's the proximity of this particular location to Japanese businesses or perhaps there's just…read moresomething about this part of OC, but I found this Bookoff to be a delight. Sure, the parking can be hectic sometimes. After all, there is a Tokyo Central right next to it, but that's what makes this location so good. You can spend hours perusing the aisles for some good finds but can take a break and get some Pocky or a bento or a Fanta nearby without ever breaking theme. What's even better is it feels like the employees enjoy working here. They greet you warmly when you walk in and that hospitality Japan is known for is reflected in this staff, even if they aren't Japanese and this isn't Japan; the spirit still carries. So does the nostalgia walking through the aisles. If you played video games throughout the 90s to now you'll see pieces of your childhood everywhere you look: a Super Famicom with Chrono Trigger for sale or a Vegeta action figure going Super Saiyan or the many mangas of Rumiko Takahashi such as Ranma 1/2 or Inuyasha. In encapsulates otaku culture through the ages well. Even looking for books of different genres and authors can be found, some new but most used. It doesn't mean they aren't good. It just means they're pre-loved. This means you can get a bargain for some books you might have been meaning to check out for a great price. They also have book sales all the time. If you feel a need to lighten your collection at home, whether it be action figure or games you no longer play, Bookoff buys them from you. It means your cash could go even further if you have things to sell. Though the size of Bookoffs in America does have me wishing they were larger like their Japanese counterparts they do pack quite a lot for the space they occupy. You can spend 15 minutes to multiple hours here, depending on what you're looking for. I say that means it's worth checking out. After all, the worst that can happen is if you don't find anything to tickle your fancy you can always go to Tokyo Central or IKEA right after.

I love this spot. It's one of the OGs, and I've been coming here for a long time. There are some…read moregenuinely great finds--plenty of $1 items, solid deals on DVDs, and every once in a while something really special slips through the cracks. That said, the pricing is all over the place. It's obvious they rely heavily on some kind of algorithm to assign value, and when it works in your favor, it really works. I've picked up items worth hundreds of dollars for a few bucks. But the flip side is rough--things priced at $100 that you could easily find for $10-15 elsewhere. That inconsistency is both the magic and the frustration. Selling to them is another story. They'll give you next to nothing unless it's something truly high-end, and even then, you're usually better off selling elsewhere. The margins are so far off at times that it really makes you wonder who's willing to take those deals. They do require ID and seem to follow the rules, but the reality is this kind of setup attracts people who either don't know what they have, don't care, are impatient, or are desperate. And yes, it also likely attracts people unloading stolen goods because they know the items are valuable, even if the payout is low. The store itself is very DIY. Nothing is cataloged, staff can't really help you with inventory, and what you see is what's available. Customer service is minimal--they're mostly focused on sorting and loss prevention. There's also an awkward dynamic between management and floor staff that you can feel when you're in there. At the end of the day, this place is a gamble. Sometimes you walk out feeling like you scored big. Other times you find something rare and exciting that's priced so high it might as well be untouchable. It almost screams desperation and lack of knowledge on the selling side--but ironically, that's exactly what brings in so much good stuff. If you know what you're doing and have patience, this place can be incredible. If not, it'll just feel chaotic.
