Within minutes of calling, I arrived in the office with my Sunny, and Carmen at the front desk took my baby to the back and induced vomiting within minutes, as time was of the essence. Fortunately, there was no bandage as I did discover the bandage the next day on our morning walk... I guess it slipped off and I didn't notice. However, the care and prompt actions of the staff at Animal Emergency Center was phenomenal!! I was absolutely blown away with the care and compassion of everyone that I'll never go anywhere else in Las Vegas for any emergency care. Also, besides Carmen and Dr. O'Dea, there was another staff member there who took care of Sunny and I, but her name slipped my mind. We rushed him in when he ate some of his bone and looked like he wasn't properly breathing. He got extremely lethargic, started shaking and worried us enough to scoop him up and put him in the car at 10pm to bring him here. As soon as we walked in the staff welcomed us at the door and buzzed us in. They took his vitals right away and looked at his gums which were still pink so that was all good signs they said. His temperature was good, too. We then were asked to wait on the couch with him till the doctor could come talk with us. As we were sitting there, another poor doggie was rushed in with an emergency more important for sure so the vet was focused on him. Which was totally fine! As we were sitting there, Eddie stopped shaking and seemed like he was getting better, thank god. The vet did eventually come over to us and she was so nice. Dr. Kat. She explained that she felt like he seemed pretty normal and that sometimes that can happen and we did the right thing bringing him in and if it happens again we can bring him in again. She told us there was no charge for the visit, which was SO kind. We definitely were expecting to pay something for them checking him, but she said we were good to go. It was so kind of her. Definitely a five star experience. Every single staff member was so nice and just seeing them interact with the other doggie patients, you can tell everyone here really cares and loves what they do, helping animals. Hopefully we don't have to come back haha, but if we do need to go to an emergency vet, this one will definitely be it.

I understand emergency hospitals can get busy but there was no sense of urgency, very little communication and the overall attitude from the staff felt indifferent and unwelcoming. After waiting for hours, I made the difficult decision to leave because I genuinely felt like I was losing precious time with my dog. We drove to another emergency animal hospital, where the staff immediately assessed her and treated us with kindness and compassion. Thankfully, it turned out to be GI irritation and not bloat. If we had stayed here any longer and it had actually been bloat, the outcome could have been devastating. No pet owner should be left sitting for hours wondering if their dog has a life threatening condition without even a quick initial assessment. Based on my experience, I would not trust this hospital with another emergency.

A little over 2 weeks before the wedding, as I searched on Facebook for Pet Sitters in Las Vegas, I came across All Around Pet Care. I looked through the photos and I felt myself naturally interested in knowing more about this service. As the photos showed, Ashley and George were engaged, one on one, doing all sorts of things with their client's pets. I reached out to Ashley to get more information and tell her what type of service I was looking for. She offered to set up a Meet and Greet in my home shortly thereafter. Ashley and George were both welcoming and well received by Oliver and Lilly. Lots of tail wagging and kisses! Immediately, they both took an interest in knowing their meal schedules, medications and other daily routines, sleeping, potty, etc., They took reminder notes and photos of meal preparation steps. Never did I feel at the meet and greet that they would be apprehensive or uncomfortable being in my home 24 hours a day for four straight days watching Oliver and Lilly. Ashley and George made me feel very comfortable and settled my fears by giving me answers to questions that proved that this is a top notch, professional pet sitting company and that they took pride in their work. I appreciated that they were well prepared at the Meet and Greet with detailed forms that I needed to fill out outlining their daily routine, contact information, emergency vet phone numbers, medications, etc., It was very thorough. Everything Ashley and George freely disclosed about their business license, insurance and professional organization member status were all verified and in good standing. She kept in communication with me during this whole process and confirmed her arrival time and date the day before. Each time so kind and patient with me. Ashley was so understanding that I was a "first time" pet mom leaving her babies in the care of someone else. Ashley and George were on time and cheerful at 6:30am. I went over a couple of last minute things but I was the nervous one....Ashley, George, Oliver and Lilly were already beginning their morning with wagging tails, dog talk and excitement! I gave everyone a hug and kissed the babies. Within an hour, Ashley texted my photos of them having their breakfast. Through the course of my four days Ashley loaded me up with photos (over 90) having their meals, going potty, napping, cuddling, sleeping, eating their snacks and messages letting me know what they were doing, their medications were administered and how they all slept together in the bed! Only miles separated me from them. Otherwise, I felt like I never left home, I was in contact with them all throughout the day and night. All my anxieties were put to rest and I never once felt worried, guilty or nervous I left Oliver and Lilly at home. I was able to enjoy the trip and sleep well at night. Ashely and George did everything from the time I first met them until I arrived home and paid for their services in a well experienced, compassionate, organized and professional manner. Every "t" was crossed and every "i" was dotted. Their attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. My anxiety driven search weeks ago was hoping for a good outcome with a pet sitter so I could go to this wedding. What I got was a beginning of a relationship with Ashley and George. It is a huge weight off our shoulders that we have found a sitter that we can sincerely, with upmost confidence, would not hesitate to use again. Now, the idea of taking a vacation isn't a worry fest, pipe dream that gets swept under the rug. Crazy pug mom and pug dad won't be waiting another 8 years to take a vacation! Our dog does not do well at kennels or daycares, so we knew he needed to stay in the comfort of his own home. Toni was very responsive and got back to us quickly. Toni has not been the one who actually looked after our pup on any of the visits, but we met her and another pet sitter who'd be watching our dog and got a great vibe. Our dog, Jimmy John, connected with Chris, his sitter, immediately. He now has another sitter, as Chris is no longer with the company, but he loves her too! The cost is $25 per visit, and we have them come twice a day while we're gone, so it adds up quickly. We know we can count on Toni's Pet Sitters to take care of not only our dog while we're gone, but things around the house (they are so helpful with getting our mail, watering plants, turning lights on and off to accommodate light for the dog at night, etc.). We are repeat loyal customers, for sure, and we are so thankful in knowing that we can always count on Toni's team to care for our beloved furry family member whenever the need arises.
