The latest one was a challenging striped mid century modern settee using Sunbrella fabric, plus 6 dining chairs. Projects can take a long time because of fabric availability and shipping time, but if you're flexible and patient it will be rewarded. Another compliment goes to Coreen's partner co's, Gilbert's Furniture Repair for fine carpentry, and Pack Mule Moving. The settee's cantilevered side table had split and needed to be fixed. Gilbert's did it beautifully. When the furniture was picked up and returned, Pack Mule was exceptionally careful and neat--successfully maneuvering the settee (which could not be disassembled) at an angle through a tight door and corner. Was able to DIY re-upholster my three dining room high chairs with material bought from here. I emailed and requested certain color and something "Japanesy" and Coreen selected and sent me a reversible swatch. Perfect. I have my own staple gun and bought foam from Walmart. Chairs turned out "just okay" after three weekends. I should have paid to have it professionally done by Coreen folks. Would highly recommend to support local business. Will request patio furniture re-do after the holidays. Dont know if they do that but they will be first on my list to contact. read more

I almost never write reviews, but I was SO impressed with the friendly and professional customer service and work of Coreen and Affordable Chair Repair that I had to write this. First, I am a small, first-time customer who needed an upholstered bench cushion and several dining room chairs repaired (I'm not a large commercial customer). Nevertheless, Coreen was extremely helpful in advising me on the phone of typical specifications, how to figure out yardage, price ranges, etc. Even though I was delayed due to the holidays and trouble finding a truck, she remembered me when I called back several months later. As it turned out, after she saw my chairs, they were in worse shape than she could handle at her shop (which she had advised me of beforehand). She called around to several of her repair friends to find someone else who could do the work in the tight timeframe I needed and texted me promptly with updates. I was so appreciative and impressed! She did an excellent job in sewing my bench cushion in only about 4 days, at a fair price. It was a little tricky to find them--they are at the end of a tiny lane in Palama, and could use a new sign on their building. I had to wait about 3 weeks for them to finish the cushions, because they had other jobs to do first. When I did pick up the cushions, they had done a beautiful job.
