I will add, we also had a small crack in the corner of the screen as well and questioned if that smaller crack had caused issues with the screen. This small business was able to quickly diagnose with a very simply solution and we couldn't be more grateful for the help. We had dropped off the laptop an hour before closing on a Monday and the laptop was ready for pick up the next afternoon. Upon picking it up, the owner shared some business cards and I shared them within my office. For any future computer needs, this will be my first call for help!

He said it would take about an hour. We went for coffee and some shopping and came back in about an hour and it was completed. He did not tell us that there was something else needed replaced or sell us anything else. I believe that he is honest and reliable. I highly recommend him.

Nich Jacob's shop in Newcastle sounded perfect. To put it succinctly, Nich knew what the problem was, fixed it quickly, didn't charge near as much as I expected and he let me watch. Also, he had a client when I got there whom he fixed up and then he took me immediately. Now, I'm back home in Norman and my little Samsung is sitting on its charger and it's up to 80% already. I learned a couple of things while I was watching him work. One, I'll never take the back off a smart phone and try to fix it, they're way too complicated! And two, since he can do this to every kind of phone, Newcastle has a phone genius in their town.

I have a minor problem with my laptop, in which the small screws that keep the bottom of the computer attached, keep falling out. The first time I went in, not only was I was given a very fair quote for a full repair, but the owner replaced the missing screws free of charge and showed me how to be careful with opening my laptop so as not to incur further damage. The second time I went in was to see if I could buy some of the screws as they keep falling out (from damage that I have caused to the computer through travel). The owner again replaced the screws for no charge and was very kind, professional and respectful. He did not pressure me at all to get the larger repair, even though I have been in twice now. I feel that the owner is an honest and sincere person and I would highly recommend Komputertek!

This is the most knowledgeable and helpful guy you will meet in the metro. He had solved the issue I was having with my BIOS, installed the card properly, and installed windows 11 for me all within a 2 hours. Would…read morehave gone to 1 star but am giving the benefit of the doubt based on one pretty good, one fair job and 2 very poor ones. The last experience breaks the camels back. Dropped off a laptop for a powerplug repair. They said 3-5 days to repair. Stop in on 5th day to check on the status of the repair. They told me the power plug needed a repair. I informed the young lady at the counter that this was the reason I had brought it in and that I had told them that. She typed on their computer a bit and told me the hard drive was corrupted and they needed my log-in password. I asked when someone was going call me on that since we were already at 5 days and I hadn't heard a thing. She said "Probably next Tuesday..." I retrieved my laptop and took it somewhere else. Too lackadaisical and unprofessional for my tastes, especially with the prices they charge. There are other computer shops in downtown Edmond who are much more committed to customer satisfaction and while I prefer to support my local independent businesses, unfortunately, I will no longer be supporting this one.
