Had affordable concrete pour a full-size pickleball court (44x20) in our backyard and the results are excellent. They graded the site properly for drainage, poured a smooth and level slab, and made sure the surface was flat enough for true ball bounce no dips or high spots. I was trying to get bids from multiple cement contractors for a sidewalk and driveway repair. A tree trunk needed to be removed. A bit complicated. I had 5 contractors come to my house to bid the job. They came and looked at the job, but they never called back and never responded with a quote. They ghosted me. Terrible experience with Ricardo and Affordable Concrete. I had met with Ricardo and I explained what i needed done. I stressed to keep rain runoff away from existing patio slab. I ended up getting exactly what i did NOT want. (See photo) When brought to his attention, Ricardo stated that he used a laser level and that me and my wife personally reviewed and approved using our own level. What is NOT true about this statement is the section of new concrete with yellow arrow (see photo) was not personally reviewed nor approved for slope by my wife and I. What is true is that 2 different sections of Ricardo work were checked and found to have an issue with the slope. All of this detail should have been checked by Ricardo, not my wife and I. Ricardo accepts no responsibility for his mistakes and because i was present throughout the job I should have caught this mistake, flagged him and called time out. Almost to say it was my fault. I fully regret hiring this company especially for the amount of money i paid. Almost 12,000.00 dollars. Be careful who you hire, do your homework and most importantly get every little detail in writing. These types of mistakes should not happen. A professional company should consider and apply any and all City of San Antonio Codes to eliminate any discrepancies or mistakes such as water runoff. Affordable Concrete kept my wife and I busy as there were other issues that needed addressing as well. Be careful with who you hire! My response to Ricardo. You are correct, you had no control over my existing slab. You did however have full control on how the concrete you installed slopes. It is the installation and slope of your work that is diverting water onto the existing slab. That is how the water in my photo got there. It is not complicated so please quite trying to spin reality. Its your product, you should own it. I can take a garden hose and show you a video if you like. Just let me know. Ricardo and his team are prompt, professional. Is Affordable Concrete cheap? No but they are also not outrageous AND remember as the saying goes- you get what you paid for. We had our patio extended last year then this year we called Ricardo for the sides of the house- nothing ever grew and we were sick and tired of the dirt and mud so finally we did it. I appreciate that he does not ask you for any money down. They were able to move us up a week or so and we were ready! We paid half at the end of the first day then the remaining balance the day they finish. They get there on time. And they were done on time. I think they can to drop off equipment on Tues. then they came in on Wed, framed poured and were done by Friday. They are fast but there work is impressive. And they clean up after themselves. Affordable maybe? But not quality or reliable. Slab installed 3 years ago started shifting and separating from attached original slab 6 months after install. Not well reinforced. Pay for quality, not affordability. When contacted, said they would come out to look to remediate, but never showed up. Poor service... look elsewhere for someone reliable who does quality work. read more

So we had a walkway poured in out backyard and I can't say enough nice things about the job that they did. I they recommended Mike Garcia for our sprinklers, and that has been an absolute nightmare. After 4 weekends of him coming out and only half fixing the sprinklers (telling me they are done and half the yard never was reconnected) or not showing up and calling in the evening to reschedule, we have now found that the main sprinkler line is broken and have to call a new sprinkler guy to fix what Mike was supposed to have done. So I love the concrete company, would go to again in a heartbeat, but don't use his sprinkler guy. ;) read more

That shouldn't prevent him from coming. Rescheduled for Tuesday at 4:30. Its now Wednesday. No call no text as to why no-show. Why would I trust they will be there to work every day.
