Brian the repairman was prompt and courteous with exception of the third day, he appeared angered over the loss of a folding multi-tool and took a few minutes to search my home for it. He spent the first hour or so glaring at me as if I was responsible for the loss of his tool. His behavior was a bit annoying, but in retrospect, I would probably act the same if I lost an expensive tool that I use everyday as well. The job took three business days to complete, an amount of time I had no issue as I was assured that my repairs would be done well before my personal deadline. The work completed is working as expected with exception of the city water meter being reassembled backwards. The city reassembled the meter correctly at no charge to us a few days after we were contacted about having a negative water flow on our bill. Over all I am very satisfied with the work that Standard Plumbing performed in my home and have added Standard Plumbing to my contact list for heating and plumbing for future plumbing or heating needs.

Now, they have handed me an estimate for over $1,600--including cutting open my laundry room ceiling and walls--without even pinpointing the actual issue first. Their paperwork explicitly states that "additional work may be required" once the toilet is removed, leaving the door wide open for endless extra costs. To top it off, they refuse to take responsibility for putting back any of the finished surfaces or walls they plan to tear apart. They are guessing at my expense and trying to leave me with a massive bill and a torn-up house.
