We have had nothing but regrets choosing this company. It took 1 week longer than expected for installation and the work was poor. Installation was not professional. The builders spent a lot of time shirtless and smoking cigarettes in my backyard. They had to to come back out to our property 3 times within the first two weeks because of issues. Issue #1: They forgot to concrete in 3 posts. Issue#2: They damaged a panel when they were installing it, they noticed this and then proceeded to turn the panel the other direction facing my neighbors house so that we wouldn't notice. My neighbor witnessed them do this. Issue#3 The gate latch ripped completely off of the gate week 1. Issue#4 The gate installed at the back of our yard was not installed properly and would only open about 6 inches. Our fence is now almost 3 years old. The vinyl fencing has many cracks. The company claims that this is normal and to be expected. read more

These guys did a fantastic job with my new vinyl fence. The estimator was knowledgeable, actually showed up early, and was not pushy. Dennis was able to read the Survey I gave him and show me the dimensions by having me stake the project with him! ONLY 2 weeks later the Installation crew arrived (actually on time!) walked the project with me then got down to business. It took them about a full day to do my vinyl job. Once finished they again walked the fence with me showing me how to work the locks and gates and I signed off. Our community courtyard needed a new front entrance gate. No biggie and based on Yelp reviews, I initiated this by calling Affordable Fence. Three stars is actually generous and I would give 2 if not for the installers doing a good job. The issue for us was it took much longer than we were told and they weren't very communiticative about it. It took almost two months from the time we first contacted them until it was installed. We were told it would take about 3 weeks because it needed to be ordered. Fine. But week after week went by with no contact. We called the salesman we dealt with and sometimes he would get back, others not. We eventually had to call the office and deal with the scheduler. Better, I suppose. Another major problem for us was we asked for schematic because the lock company (different company) needed it so we could move forward with this next step and our guy said he'd get the schematic to us. Didn't. We asked several times and our sales guy pretty much just ignored the request so we just gave up. Because of this, we weren't able to give it to the lock company which now delays the lock being ordered and installed. We actually have a rope keeping our gate closed for the past few weeks. Lackluster service results. We give 3 stars only because the guys who actually installed it were fine. Of course, I'm sure they're subcontractors but at least they hired good subcontractors. Would I recommend them? Based on our experience, no. But based on other Yelp reviews and mine, maybe but definitely with a warning. read more

Extremely poor customer service. At one point I was told my contact was fired and things would improve but they never did. It took 8 weeks for installation from the day I put 50% down. My initial measurement was incorrect and I waited a long time to have the fence remeasured. There were several times something was scheduled on a certain day and didn't happen. The owner called me throughout the process (after my initial contact was fired) but never came to look at the finished product (even though I felt the fence posts were messy). Finally the fence was installed and the owner initially offered me $200 off for the poor customer service. I reminded him that the fence was remeasured so the initial estimate was off. The owner sent employees out to remeasure two days later (Friday). I didn't hear from the owner again until Wednesday. The second invoice didn't seem to be the right price either but I was just ready to be done with this company. The owner stated that he would only give me the $200 off if I paid him by credit card over the phone. I was in a public setting and did not feel comfortable reading my information off. So for that reason I owe the full amount, there is no deduction for the huge inconvenience and poor customer service I received. The owner even asked me when I would be mailing my check. I am in a new home in a new development and I'm sure will be asked about our fence - guess what company I won't recommend? Edit: Owner called and offered the $200 for either method of payment. 3 stars given to reflect that. read more

I am really hoping that I can change this review but right now their service is absolutely horrific. My fiancé and I met them at the home show and they came out and gave us an estimate. They were supposed to email us a paper copy to send to our HOA and has yet to do so which that has been three weeks now. We sent $100 deposit in to secure a time to install and they will not return any of our calls or emails. Hopefully I will be able to update this and give better news. read more

Getting an estimate was stress free and friendly. There were ample choices to pick from and the pamphlet was very helpful. Workers performing the installation were respectful, knowledgeable and particular. Price was competitive. It all began with a simple online contact form on their website where I requested a free quote for a 4 foot black aluminum fence that we were considering having installed. The form was easy and quick, I heard back from Charlie the very same day. He asked a few questions regarding the fence options, which he sent me the link to, that we were looking for as well as to set up a free at home estimate. They were able to get us in for an estimate the very next week while many other companies were two weeks out. When Charlie got there, he took the time to walk the property with us for measurements as well as help with fence placement, since we asked for his thoughts. He then talked us through our many options; we narrowed it down to the Granite style aluminum fence. We then needed to decide which series we wanted (which offer different levels of quality as well as a slightly different construction). He then priced out a couple of fences that we were interested in and gave us a formal quote for each. He was very helpful in answering our questions and was courteous. Within a week, we decided to move forward with Affordable Fence Builders and I signed their e-contract which was also very easy and quick. Then four weeks later, we received a call from Brandon informing us that we were to be scheduled the following week. During the summer, only waiting four weeks for install is a great time frame. The three man crew arrived on a Thursday to begin the install. They arrived on time and promptly measured out the previously decided dimensions for the fence and marked them with spray paint. They then asked us to walk the fence dimensions with us to make sure that they are where we wanted them. If we wanted any changes to the dimensions or shape, this was the time to make them but everything was perfect. They also took the time to show us where the gates would be and how they would sit with our ground being much angled on one side. They were polite and courteous about our property and left very little mess. Our yard is mainly dirt as we are trying to grow grass so they just simply used the dirt from the holes to spread around in various areas of the ground that were missing some. Since our yard is dirt, we had them keep the fence raised 1.5 inches off the ground (their suggestion) so that when the grass grows in it will look just right. The crew was respectful the entire time, asking us throughout the process if certain things were ok with us. It did end up taking two days to complete due to the weather and the size of our yard but that was no issue at all. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Affordable Fence Builders and I would recommend them to my friends and family in a heartbeat. The fence looks amazing and the craftsmanship of the fence is very nice. We are very happy with our purchase and pleased with the company we chose! read more
