One of the doors has never functioned properly and has repeatedly come off the spool, requiring multiple repair visits. Eventually, the bottom panel needed to be replaced. Jamie agreed to handle the repair, and I paid more than $2,000 for the new panel and installation. After an extremely long wait, the panel was finally installed -- but the workmanship was unacceptable. The overlays didn't line up, were pulling away from the panel, and looked terrible. Rather than taking responsibility, Jamie blamed the manufacturer and promised to replace the panel. That was months ago. Since then, it has been excuse after excuse, missed promised dates, and poor communication. I was told the replacement panel would arrive this week and that I would receive a call. No call ever came. To make matters worse, the garage door came off the spool again this week, leaving me panicked and unable to safely use the door. I tried repeatedly to contact Jamie and, unsurprisingly, received no response. I finally had to call another garage door company, and they arrived within an hour to fix the problem. What shocked me most was that the technician immediately noticed serious installation issues with the original work. He told me the brackets had been installed backwards and questioned whether the door had been installed properly in the first place. Do to the high demand for contract work amid at the pandemic. I came across Tabi Home Repair & Remodeling on Yelp. They reached out to me asked me how can they help. I told them I have frameless shower doors that needed to be installed in two of my bathrooms. They replied did you already ordered the doors? I said I have all the materials just looking for it to be installed. They replied back with a cost of $650.00 for both of the doors. I also sent them a link with an instructional video from the company from which I got the doors from. I said could you look at this and let me know if this is something you could do. Wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding. They replied back with it would be $400.00 for each door to be installed. I replied with when can you do the install? I paid Half of the installation which was $400.00 other was due upon completion. On the day of the installation they showed up unprepared it's a two person job they had one person. The person was unaware of the type of door he was to be installing. The owner reached out to be and told me that it was a heavier job and that the price will now be $750.00 for each door. I said I'll just take my deposit back. Now I sent them a video with the instructions and in the video they clearly stated that it requires two people to do this job. I don't know how clearer it could've been. I ended up calling my credit company and reporting and they got it back for. But I said that to said be careful with this company as they may try to take on jobs that they don't fully comprehend. Also try and keep your money and make it your fault.

I paid for them to replace a flat roof and repair damages caused by the water infiltration including patching where water may enter in the future and patching/replacing sheetrock and painting that was done. I also paid for them to notch, punch, and hang doors. Jenny (owner's wife) submitted a quote after Tim (owner), outlined the work and the materials in August, I paid a deposit and work began in September. The issues immediately started. Tim walks the site for the quote but is rarely if ever found on site to review materials or quality of work. They quoted me for materials that I paid for, and used INFERIOR materials. After I confronted Tim, he lied about the materials, I had to remind him that my boyfriend in fact was an architect and knew that the material in the pictures (I asked for status pictures at EOD) where not what was quoted. He never rectified this issue. My boyfriend and I had to walk the roof and have the workers fix quite a few issues that were scoped out and discussed as a part of the work including a CLEARLY distressed chimney that would have allowed for water penetration upon ANY rain. The roofers had to come back 3 times for the issues to be resolved. Tim? Once. The work inside of the house? Still not done. There are gashes in doors, My ceiling? covered in gray primer for THREE months and counting. Door frames? Split, cracked, and not fixed. I have called. I have attempted to reschedule. I have sent emails. Texted pictures and STILL have not heard back from them. Tim's preferred way of working is to have you the customer GC and quality check the work - because he is not able to or willing to do so. In fact, he attempted to blame me for not correcting the work in real time, as if I am the foreman. You're better off getting a bunch of "handy men" and throwing them in a room to do the work because that is effectively what Tim does. They will promise you the moon, and at the end of it you will have wished you never even asked them for the quote.
