Affordable Granite installed granite countertops in our kitchen last year and I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. The installation included granite filler trim behind our stove connecting the granite countertops on opposite sides of the stove - a really nice touch. Recently, we elected to replace our stove. Unfortunately, the new stove is an 1/8" wider and 1" deeper than our old stove and wouldn't fit in the existing opening. Affordable Granite had its installers come and widen the opening for the new stove and cut back the filler trim without having to remove the trim. The result was so good, it is impossible to tell that this wasn't the original installation. We did a complete kitchen renovation and the designer was very helpful in measuring perfectly for our space . In completing our kitchen renovation it was a special order which took about 6 weeks, not bad . The quality of our Kraftmaid Cabinets are excellent ! I called them recently to ask for some help with small issues. John helped us with some questions we had regarding some minor hardware imperfections . Awesome service, price, delivery and product! Paid close to 4K for a custom made island for our kitchen. Loved our piece but needed the countertop to complete it. After working with Angi's List and getting NOWHERE , I checked on Yelp and found this stone place. Good reviews, not many, but more than other places so I took a chance and went there. The woman who helped us was SUPER helpful, patient and knowledgeable. We were able to find a nice piece of black granite and held our breathe in anticipation of the price. Well! It was definitely a fair market price and we made the purchase. Delivery was made promptly on the date and time they said it would be and was installed with care. Very professional operation. I have used AGC for all (and there have been quite a few) of my bathroom/kitchen/basement and outdoor jobs. They are excellent. Every salesperson (especially Chris), owner, designer and installer has been knowledgeable and helpful. They spend a lot of time with customers and make one feel comfortable. No one does seams like they do. Barely noticeable. Any issues are taken care of right away. I have a bit of a language barrier but never felt like they treated me differently than any other customer, I mean one of these comments mentions race, that is ridiculous, the owners are minority, most of the employees are minorities. I can only speak for myself when I say I would not use anyone else. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with the the granite countertops, stainless steel sink, and faucet that we got from Affordable Granite & Cabinetry (AG&C) when we remodeled our kitchen. We browsed the granite available from AG&C and found a color that we really liked. AG&C gave us the option to have it provide an under-the-counter stainless steel sink and faucet along with the countertop. The installation of the countertop was done very well and we were very pleased with the quality of the sink and faucet. We needed to have backsplash tile replaced after the countertops were installed and AG&C recommended a contractor to help us. The contractor was first-rate. read more

I'm in the process of having a house built, and my builder referred me to Nicole of Affordable Granite & Cabinetry. I'm so glad he did, because Nicole is truly the MVP of customer service and was such a huge asset while I chose granite for my kitchen and bathrooms. Making an appointment was easy; I called and was on location less than a week later. Nicole was prompt and very friendly and welcoming. She started by going over my home's blueprints and confirming the granite size I would need for each room. She really tried to get an idea of what style I was looking for, and was more than happy to give advice when asked. She really knows her stuff and has an amazing eye, which was helpful beyond words. The selection they had was great; I never knew just how mesmerizing granite could be. I seriously could have spent all day in their lot, just looking. Nicole was very informative and also very respectful to my budget; she didn't push me to look at items outside of my price range. I was able to find gorgeous granite at a great price. Scheduling and executing installation was a breeze as well. I plan to post pictures once my house is complete, but trust me when I say I could not have been happier when I walked through the doors and saw how beautiful my kitchen and bathrooms look with this granite. My husband and I stopped in after looking at another cabinet retailer close by. Despite explaining to the design expert what I was looking for she kept trying to push the cheaper cabinets explaining that the ones I wanted were very expensive, despite not knowing my budget. She was polite but condescending, which honestly made it worse. I gave her a copy of my layout and she told me she would email me the prices for the cabinet styles and colors I chose, I never received an email. I agree with the post that stated that this experience felt racist. I guess they took one look at us and decided we couldn't afford it. Needless to say a different company got our business. If management reads these reviews I have one suggestion, do better! read more

AG&C was terrific! Our kitchen, granite counter top was cracked and we decided to purchase a new sink too. When I showed a picture of our situation to Pete, he walked us through his shop and out back to a slab that looked just like ours. He broke off a piece and suggested we take it home. It matched and therefore, he saved us from having to replace every piece of granite in the counter and the island. The first professional AG&C sent to the house made a template of what was to be replaced. He taught us about the granite, counter options and talked about edging. I ended up bringing a piece of the broken counter to AG&C along with my new sink. They were able to match the edging. AG&C sent a crew over to the house and were able to perfectly lay in the new slabs and the sink without damaging the tile back splash. The clean-up they did went above and beyond what we expected. I had a great experience with Affordable Granite!! I picked out my stone and brought them my sink. They did a great job with cutting the stone and mounting the sink. They drilled two holes for my faucet and soap dispenser. I was able to get a counter with no seam. The install was great. I will use them again when I do my bathrooms. I like the quartz I picked out. Agreed on the design install plan. The problem came after I saw where they cut the quartz for the seam. it was installed while I was at work (husband did not know the plan design) The design was to have the cut seam to the left of the sink. Instead, for some reason the seam is in the middle of my main working area and I have to feel and see it every time I wash the counter. Not happy and apparently I am not going to get over it after several months now. Spoke with the owner, in an attempt to make me happy he told me how he went to extreme lengths to avoid a seam in his counter for his home. Not sure why this would make me feel better. read more

We came to Affordable Granite looking for a small remnant to have them make a countertop for a pantry we were having installed. The countertop is only 5 feet by 2 feet so remnants were suggested as the way to proceed. When we walked into Affordable Granite, we were quickly assisted by Breanna (Sara) Cortez who was very knowledgeable about the inventory and options for our needs. She directed us to the vast inventory of remnants and we quickly located a few styles that we liked and with the assistance of her staff with granite moving equipment we were able to see the entire remnant and make our selection. The only hiccup in the ordering process was a miscommunication as to the dates for our template to be made, but once we straightened out the dates, the person who came to make the template showed up on time, quickly took the measurements and explained to us why certain adjustments needed to be made to make the countertop fit properly given where are cabinet doors were located. The next week the installers came during the window of time agreed to and quickly installed the counter-top, sealed it and cleaned up and left. The experience with Affordable Granite was possibly the best experience we have had with a vendor in making improvements to our home and I recommend them without reservation. Affordable called us to remind us of the template date and the install date and things went as smoothly as could be. It should be noted that we originally went to a granite store in Kingston the prior week and the prices in Kinston were almost 50% higher and they had a much smaller inventory and virtually no sales help with knowledge of their inventory. We are very happy with the overall experience with Affordable Granite. read more

Affordable Granite did our Kitchen about a year and half ago. They did a terrific job. The selection of stone in their yard is large and we were able to pick out the EXACT pieces of stone from which our countertops were made. The man who came to do the templates (countertop patterns) was very meticulous. He asked us specific questions about how we would be using certain areas and made useful suggestions. The company told us what to expect and how to prepare the kitchen. When the installers came they did an excellent job, especially with the massive center island. My husband and I have been doing a kitchen remodel in our 1950's home that has had delay after delay. I did not have this happen with Affordable Granite & Cabinetry Outlet. From Jessica, who showed us our slab and did most of the scheduling, to Joe, who came out to measure, to the lovely gentlemen who installed our countertops and sink and also did the plumbing - everything was top notch. They were also cheaper than HD by about $900! I cannot recommend them enough. They offer a free sink with installation, but I already had ordered mine. From our first visit Staff Don and Vanessa helped us through the process of selecting (and showing us) slabs of granite, then scheduling the fitting, then installation. Joe was so helpful and careful during the template process, explaining where, and helping in what decisions we needed to make during that process. During the whole process there was never a delay by Affordable in any of their scheduling and installation: a week after measure!
