This company did not even bother to show up for the meeting they planned. They sent me multiple texts and emails to verify that I would be available and then did not show up. I texted the phone number that said to be on site between the certain times allotted and no answer. I called the direct line, and they told me that the time was wrong, so I spent an additional hour waiting for them. Still no show. What an absolute waste of my time. I cannot stand having the run around, if you do not want to do a job, simply say so, don't waste my damn time. ZERO STARS read more

They coordinated with me on what needed to be done, found and promised to fix errors the builders made, helped me prepare the house correctly, worked with me on scheduling a time that worked best for me and my family, and completed the job in an very tight timeframe. Nicole answered all of our questions and was always available when we called. Nicole: was always professional and caring. She made it possible that Conedison gave us an incentive by completing the form and making sure we complete it within a timely manner. Assessment: Bryant was the best as well. He came into our home to assess it and he was very professional. Bryant took his time while doing the assessment to educate us about the process. Bryant was always in contact with us while the crew was working at home. He made us feel confident. The crew: each crew member was professional and caring. They cleaned everything while working. No mess was left behind. They work fast and are efficient. Payment: the price is affordable and they give you the cost right after the assessment and work with you to help you qualify for conedison grant. Bryan Bender is an absolute pleasure to work with and he was able to accommodate our exact needs after a disastrous foaming job by another company from NYC where we had toxic smells for months after, and they had left the space a mess with foam everywhere. We had all the foam removed for a $40K removal cost! Knowing my sensitivities to odors Bryan suggested the Demilec Heatlock HFO and we had absolutely no problems and were able to occupy the home after 24 hours. This was a large addition to the existing home. The crew was extremely professional and made sure everything in the construction zone was covered in plastic and they left the space completely cleaned up. We continue to use NYS Foam as we continue to remodel/renovate the rest of the home and the foam insulation is worth every penny. The new space is still showing 76 degrees at night even in November 2021 where the part of the house with the old traditional insulation shows close to 70 degrees... This company is better than anyone else in Rockland you could think to use since Bryan uses a completely non-toxic product and isn't about making money - more about making client's homes comfortable. NY Foam and Energy are great to work with and do a tip top job. As a remodeling contractor I have gotten them to help me out with projects. They sprayed foam in my sister's dank and musty basement, which is now a pleasant comfortable family room and laundry. Their application was uniform and there was no mess. On another project they insulated walls and ceilings with double layer rock wool. The installation in this older building was tight. No cavities no compressed material, very clean. I recommend them highly for whatever your insulation needs are. read more

Dennis Bender: smart, patient, great at his job. Can't say enough great things about him, and his work. On his first visit, he took two hours of his time, at no charge, to carefully examine our house, providing me with lots of important information, and explaining the details of the work that he'd do. He looked over the NYSERDA report that another company had done, and explained how he would approach the work differently. He also provided me the info on the chemicals he would be using, which, it turns out, are the most environmentally responsible ones on the market. Just terrific work all around. NYS Foam and Energy did an incredible job of making my home more efficient, but as importantantly, more comfortable. For 11 years my family dreaded Winter as our house was like the frozen tundra with cold air dropping in from the attic and seeping in from an un-insulated garage. After a a blower door test and really listening to our concerns, NYS Foam proposed smart solutions to our heating and cooling problems. They did the work with precision and after they left it was hard to tell they were even here. With an early start to Winter we got to feel the immediate effect of the work done on our house. Overall the house just felt tighter and warmer than it ever would have when the outdoor temp was 25 degrees. We also noticed how quickly the house heated up and how long it stayed warm. It won't break my heart to see an oil bill that is significantly smaller than the previous 11 years I can assure you of that. It's also nice not to hear "dad I'm freezing" any longer. First I will apologize for not writing a review last year around this time!!! This is the second time we use NYS Foam & Energy and they have done a great job keeping us warm. I would recommend for anyone that is doing spray foam in their home, please research and do more research about the subject of spray foam. There are a lot of companies out there that claim that they know what they are doing but many do not. So it is incumbent upon you as the consumer to do your homework before signing on the dotted line. Spray foam is not cheap but it is so worth the money and believe me you won't regret the investment..... The team at NYS Foam & Energy are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing. We did our exterior walls last year with a closed foam application and we immediately noticed a difference in the warmth. Last year my heating oil delivery was reduced by one from the previous year. On November 11, 2015, Max and the pink truck :) came to my house again and spray foamed my 1300 square foot attic space and the rim joist in the basement and boy do we feel a difference. I am hoping to keep the oil truck away a little more this year!!! Closed cell foam is the way to go but please do your research before doing anything and also shop around.....These guys have competitive pricing and they know what they are doing so in my opinion its a win win!!! Big kudos to Max....He ended up getting a really bad splinter in the attic as he was halfway done with the attic and we thought he was going to quit but he found it in him to move on with the job and completed it with some pain!!!! Splinter was pretty big ouch!!! His helper performed minor surgery on my driveway and I helped clean him up and they continued the job......Thanks Max for being a trooper!!!
