So my friend and I are here from florida and had originally booked a room on a third party website for the motel across the street *that place is disgusting and crawling with bums who badger you for money outside, so bad that one followed us from out disappointing check in, to our car, please for safety do not stay at the place across the street* Anyways, we find out they don't take third party reservations and we had no where else to go, sat in the parking lot for about an hour calling other hotels, motels, looking on air bnb with no luck, everywhere we were calling was over 100$ for 1 night! So we drive over here and this lovely woman sam works the evening desk and I explain to her what the situation was and just that we can't afford that we need help we don't have anywhere else to go, and she very generously saved our stay by providing a room for us at an affordable price, the room provides AC, tv, a mini fridge, microwave and blackout shade curtains, the only reason I am not rating 5 stars is because the room was a little dirty upon arrival, they just need to mop the floors a little bit better and possibly wipe down the walls every once in a while, but for the price of our stay and the unfortunate situation we were in this place is our savior! Here you'll sign a 4 page contract before you get your room keys if you stay for a week (not sure if this size contract is required for a 1 night) - - - Not a big deal but so you know (and they will tell you in advance) it costs $10 for every room cleaning after the first. Bottom line if you want a cheap room while visiting Denver and can sleep through lawnmowers and car chases then this place is a fit though don't let them tell you the rooms on the back side of the building will be much quieter. read more

WORSE THAN BATES MOTEL My wife and daughter stayed at the hotel, 1st room they received had bed bugs, they were moved to another room 213, the toliet didnt work and they would send maintenance in the morning, in morning wife had to use the bathroom in the Village inn, called management asked to be compensated one night due to the inconvenience, management told her she had an hoir to get out or they would call the police. I calles and was very calm to find out the situation, she said that my wife would not be happy there and said that she was a liar that she didnt have to use bathroom across the street, I asked her not to call my wife a liar in a very calm manner and she said if they didnt vacate again she would call the police. The staff is rude and this is a disgusting hotel. Read many reviews after this incident on trip advisor and regret staying at this hotel. read more

I booked a room at Affordable Inn Denver West - Wheat Ridge on Orbitz for my boyfriend who was traveling cross country. When he arrived at the hotel around 11pm, the front desk staff was unable to locate the reservation by code, by my name, or by his name. My boyfriend, who'd already driven some 15 hours, ended up having to drive off into the night. I immediately called Orbitz, who called the hotel. The hotel put her on hold and never came back to the line. When she called back, no one was answering. She informed me that Orbitz had received from Affordable Inns a confirmation code indicating that the reservation was received. I am furious that my loved one had no place to stay because someone at Affordable Inns dropped the ball. I also lost $20 on food that was supposed to be delivered to his hotel room. I'm still expecting a refund. Don't stay here if you're expecting competent service. read more

I was renting a place where the lease expired, and the rental market is TOUGH right now. I found another place, but had to wait a month to move in. Thus, I had to find a temporary place to stay for the month in between renting homes. I spent the first week at Motel 6. I was fortunate enough to find a great weekly rate at Affordable Inns for the next 3 weeks. I was wary of renting a room at a "weekly" hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms was neat, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and it included a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and iron. The weekly rate broke down to $41/night. What a bargain!!! The hotel building was quiet and the customer service was outstanding. Also, the homemade doughnuts were awesome. I would absolutely stay there again and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to find a hotel with weekly rates. read more

Low priced, clean enough, but very, VERY noisy. It's right next to I-70 and apparently it has no sound insulation at all -- not only did it sound like I was sleeping on the freeway, but I heard it clearly when anyone flushed a toilet or just tried to talk over the road noise. There was also an odd "feel" to my interaction with the front desk staff -- they spent a lot of time telling me what I couldn't do and how they'd charge me a fee if I did anything forbidden. Luckily I had no intention of bringing a marijuana-smoking cat into the room, so I was good to go. read more

You get what you pay for. The hotel itself is in decent condition. After reading reviews we made sure to get a room in the back so we didn't hear the highway noise. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We have a toddler so after dinner decided to go to the park that's right next to the hotel. ( although they do have a small playground) Right there is when I noticed the neighborhood wasn't the best. We went back to the room and our key wasn't working. The front desk girl was helpful and fixed it. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. I did find a spider crawling up the wall. The walls are thin so good luck light sleepers. It's not the highway noise to be concerned about but the people up until late at night making tons of noise doing who knows what. We left extremely early so we didn't get a chance to try the donuts. Honestly the stay was alright but I probably wouldn't be back. I'd rather pay a bit more and go to a nicer neighborhood. Oh and the wifi never worked. Don't bother lol read more

The good: The staff behind the desk are very friendly, and so are some of the owners family. Jackie is the pseudo manager and does the best she can while working under some of the worst hotel ownership/management staff I have ever witnessed. Oh, they do provide towels and toilet paper on request. They also have free donuts and coffee. No smoking policy in the rooms (HAHA) (unless you smoke pot, meth or cigarettes). The bad (and I mean really bad): For the amenities you get Affordable Inns should even garner a one star rating. The hotel used to be a three start hotel with a working pool, playground for the kids, workout room etc. None of those exit today. Wi-Fi works once in a while and if you are lucky enough to connect it is too slow to do anything. Send your emails vis snail mail. It will get there faster. Cable TV is OLD and analog only. TV's are old and pictures are awful. If your remote works, consider yourself lucky. Bedbugs are common, many guests have had to leave or move to other rooms so they can replace the beds and carpets. This is still going on. The onsite washer and dryers rarely work. The soda and snack machines are usually out of order but will gladly take your money which the hotel says the are not responsible for reimbursing. You are not allowed to have anything like a chair or plant outside your room. Nothing is allowed on your window sill and no window decorations. (They don't want it looking like people live there). Raised the rent with ZERO notification. They are already over-charging anyway. Prostitutes are frequently seen roaming the walkways and parking lot. Drugs are rampant, especially meth including the needles both used and new. (personal experience, while looking for our "lost" iWatch we found a meth needle tucked into the ironing board). You'd think this is a good thing but cops frequently on the property. Usually not to protect but to serve. They will shut off the air and water without notice and the office doesn't even no why. Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn Express are right next door for the same price range and you even get good Wi-Fi and warm breakfast. Cleaning staff is known to steal valuables such as watches, cell phones and laptops. Staff didn't care and offered no help. read more

This hotel was probably the grossest hotels I've ever been to cigarette burns all over the bed, when I brought it to the ladies attention and she said oh they were charged an extra $250 if they did do that to people before you well why didn't you replace the bedsheets if they were charge that much! The TV is so ancient and it reeked like drugs very ugly and there was like stuff on the bed and possibly bedbugs ewww 150$ Definitely not worth it please fix up your hotel if you're going to charge that much read more

Found this Hotel after our disappointing Hotel in Colorado Springs. ...yeah needed to get out of that one really fast...anyways the only draw back for this hotel as far as i can see was the commute to Denver takes you about 45min or 1/1 and a half hrs when there's traffic. And the second one is probably the look of the outside of where it is. It faces the free way and the look of neighborhood but it seems pretty safe to me. So over all i like this hotel the room feel comfortable, clean and yes! You have a microwave and a small fridge and they make their own small donuts! Even though i didn't get to taste it their lobby smells so good lol. Ps. our room for one night total is about $85 and we thought it was more. Very happy to stay in this hotel everyone was nice and i got a good night sleep ;) read more

Great weekly rates and pet friendly. Off-leash dog park and Village Inn and Taco Bell are within walking distance...our pitbul loves it here! Rooms are small and out-dated but clean. Shower is incredibly small and awkward...not handicap-friendly. TV speakers blown and temperature of mini fridge has a mind of its own...and its more bipolar than me. Staff is friendly and other guests aren't scary or sketchy. We've lived in 4 hotels over the past year in the Denver area and this is the best and best value so far. read more

After a camping nightmare at nearby Golden Gate State Park, we needed a room - and fast. Other hotels wouldn't let us check in until 3, and it was only 11. We needed a place to shower and sleep ASAP and was so glad we found this place. For $75 a night, we have a small, yet clean place to stay. Ashley at the front desk was super friendly and gave me exactly the room I needed. In addition, they had guest laundry in site, which was a Godsend. After a horrible night with Semi trucks running right next to me, I was BEYOND THRILLED WITH THIS HOTEL!!!! Has mini fridge, coffee pot, iron and ironing board with a microwave. They have a laundry room ice machine and they give you mini donuts with orange juice with coffee in the morning. Affordable close to town they also have a pool and play area for kids. Next to a park as well. I have a service dog that other places have tried to charge me a deposit to stay the night, this hotel was friendly to both myself and my dog. I don't smoke or use marijuana so people complaining about having to sign an agreement about additional costs have NEVER STAYED IN A HIGH END HOTEL THEY HAVE A CONTRACT ABOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES AS WELL. I was unaware that this is a weekly payable place. It was a very hot day 100+ degrees and my room was nice and cool. Interesting but odd fact my rooms TV was positioned where if you are in the bathroom you can watch the tv in the mirror. I would/will gladly stay at this location in the future. Added notes after sleeping thru the night, I had read the reviews here on Yelp about how loud the freeway traffic is at night and how thin the walls were supposed to be. First of all I'm a VERY light sleeper I can't sleep at home with my ceiling fan on because of the electrical hum. Now about this property it is near I-70 but it was very quiet compared to where I live in a small town in SE Colorado I live 6 blocks from hwy 50 but that isn't the sounds that keep me awake all night long, apparently some idiot tried crossing railroad tracks without checking for a train, now the railroad company decided that night time is a great time to run all their trains thru small town at every intersection the train will blow it's horn constantly from one side of town all the way thru to the other end, so I was wondering if I would get ANY sleep here? Answer the best sleep I've had since moving to my home!! It's NOT the hotels fault that traffic can be heard, in Colorado Springs the city has built very tall walls to quieten the sound of traffic. My only issue might have been the fact that housekeeping leaves an envelope on the dresser clearly for tips, I found that to be tacky a tip is for going above and beyond the job unless you are a waitress. And as I stayed only one night I didn't have any interaction with housekeeping. The only negative thing I can say is a psychotic fly came in the door with me but thankfully it drowned in my dogs water bowl while I was at church! After that you are subjected to the people who use this place as their home. These amazing human beings will tell you where to park your car, when to park your car, and also make up their own handicap parking spaces. This hotel was the worst choice we could have made as far as hotels go. Immediately when we walked in, I noticed a long dark hair on the pillow of one the the beds. The bathroom sink was stained and there was remains of either beard or pubic hair around the drain. Clearly it had not been cleaned. The front desk was extremely rude. They were short tempered and a bit aggressive with us. The pool was nasty. It was green and had not been chlorinated for probably a week. We could not even see the bottom. This place was definitely somewhere I would never recommend and will never go back to. For the price the rooms were tiny and dirty, A total off. You'd be better off at the Howard Johnson. read more

The rooms aren't too bad but the management is horrible the regular staff is usually smoking cigarettes outside always have people waiting in the front or they run after you because they were outside smoking OR they're in the front dry humping their boyfriends. You're always going to have to wait for someone to help though because the manger Jordan or however you spell it the girl is usually on the phone yelling and cursing about her kid or calling someone a f...... dumbass on the phone I even know her kids name by memory because of how many times I've gone downstairs and it's the same thing. I walked downstairs and there was a girl with an eyebrow piercing with blonde hair and where the guest sit to have coffee was her boyfriend sitting and she had her ass to him so like rubbing up on him in front of me and when she noticed I wasn't going to ask her for anything she proceeds to the unprofessional dry humping. Just very unprofessional people I've seen them yell at guest curse them out and talk bad about them if you're going to do that at least not in front of other guest or to other guest that are paying good money to enjoy their stay in this place too much drama. I work in a costumer service environment as a manger and if i acted the way the manger here did I would've lost my job already she seems upset that she's in a dead end job and you can feel it whenever you need her assistance when she was asked how to contact the owner she said there wasn't one but I looked online and there is as a matter of fact it's privately owned but she obviously won't be giving us the right info in regards to contacting the owner but luckily I did record an incident where the manager went crazy on a disabled young man in the front desk yelling get the f.... out, I don't give a f... sucks I can't post it here so people can see first hand the kind of people that are in charge of this place. My husband and I were driving cross country and needed a hotel room that would be clean and safe, but didn't need extra amenities as we would only be there from 10pm to 7am. With surrounding hotels charging around $150, we decided to gamble with Affordable Inn who advertised rates of $80 a night. I admit, I'm weird about hotels and super concerned about safety and cleanliness but this place was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful and even make fresh donuts in the morning to serve with juice and coffee. While the rooms are small with a compact bathroom, they do have a small pool and playground for kids to unwind and even allows dogs without extra fees. If you're looking for a no frills place to stay in the Denver area and want to save some money, I'd highly recommend Affordable Inn. read more

I stayed at the wheatridge location from july 1st 2014 to august 19 2014. I was on the interstate side,but with the a.c. on it muted the noise from the traffick.The personelle were friendly.My room was clean,and I could have had daily service if I wanted.The maintenance worker had to fix my toilet,but the job was done the same day I reported it.
