I called about six different plumbers and left messages. None called back. I called Affordable Plumbing plumbing and left a message with their service. About 90 minutes later I received a call from Eddie told him my problem and he was at my house in 20 minutes. I told my problem and what I had done. He went right to work checking the whole system found the problem, a leak in the supply line from my well. Two hours and fifteen minutes later had water and could shower in my own house for the first time in fifteen days. Better than a new well which is what I was told or other really expensive repairs. He listens to what you tell him and with his knowledge and experience he is able to find the problem. It is better than waiting days for a fix. Call the professional when you need him. read more

Eddie (the owner) from Affordable Plumbing was the only plumber out of many that I called in the area that would come out late on a Saturday night to fix my water leak issue. He was professional and informed me on the phone of the baseline service fee, and that there were two customers ahead of me. With all the freezing and bursting pipes in the area right now, I was extremely happy he was coming out same night at all. He even informed me over the phone about a few steps to take before he arrived so that I wouldn't risk further damage. He fixed the problem quickly upon arrival at 10:30 pm, and even had other customers to attend to after me. I am grateful for his assistance when no one else would help. I would have been without running water for at least 3 days had he not been willing to add me to his list. read more

I've used them before when my main water line cracked and they were out there and fixed everything in no time. They also weren't super expensive and really took all the stress out of what could have been a very stressful situation. Fast forward 4 years and we had to install a new dishwasher, our lines were copper and wouldn't work with the dishwasher so I called again, they actually could have gotten to me in the same day, but my schedule was a wreck. They came out the next morning and did the work and did a good job. The plumber even fixed a leak I had for my washer faucet on site. I was a little shocked at the price and wasn't told a quote before so I was thrown that it came out to over $400.00 for the work, especially when the water line was around $900 and that include digging up my front yard. Regardless it was great work and I can't complain, I only wish it had been a bit more affordable. I only went with this company because of the work before and wasn't disappointed with the work this time. Next time I may shop around for a better price though. read more

My wife called them for a simple clogged sink because I wasn't home yet. They told her specifically that it was $100 to come out and fix it. Then upon fixing it they charged her $250. UPDATE: the misunderstanding was that the SERVICE CHARGE is $100, though her question was how much it would cost to fix the sink. After some discussion about said misunderstanding, they agreed to refund the difference and dropped off a check a couple of days later. Good plumbers. Honest people. Just be clear about what an actual estimate would be prior to them coming down for the repair to avoid our situation. read more

Eddie did good work doing his install but charges way too much to do the easiest of jobs. His prices are just numbers that pop in his head. He quotes way too high and doesn't budge when he knows the job doesn't cost as much. It's a two man team , both were arguing and being very unprofessional while conducting business. His partner was lazy and didn't even want to do his job. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that I needed my issue fixed asap I would've went with another company. Affordable Plumbing NEVER AGAIN My experience was much different from all the others posted here. When I called if was early morning and I was looking for a plumber to come and fix it immediately. He was on a job but said he had other trucks and plumbers and could be here by 11:00am. He told me it would be a $99 service fee, seems fair...okay. So I said okay and waited. They were late, like end of the day late, it was starting to get dark. Then before they even knew what the problem was they quoted it more than triple. I would have told them to leave but it was late and no other plumber would have been available. Also have cash on hand he told me a credit card would be okay but said he needed cash after he started. They did fix the problem. I'm finding someone else the next time I need help with any plumbing. read more

Call to have a pressure valve replaced that was leaking. Eddie told me that he would come and take a look. I even received a notice on my phone that he would be here at 10pm. No surprise he never showed. I called 3 more times and kept getting the call center. Amber sent 3 messages to him and I even sent a email to him. Not till 445pm Sunday did Eddie call me back with a bag of excuses. If you have an emergency find another plumber that will show up. read more

Had a very strange situation with this company. Called them about a broken water line. Said they could do the job same day. Agreed on how payment was to be made. Then he called back hours later asking for a money gram. We said no and agreed to bring a check on Sat. Called twice Fri no response. Get to the house on Sat to check out work and nothing had been done. Called Sat and acted like he had already forgotten about the job. We cancelled and will proceed with someone else. I did check trade license and phone number checks out but I was spooked by the whole situation. In 30 years of working with tradespeople have never once had that situation before now. read more

I own a house in Cameron NC and my tenants had called them so when the guy showed up and then called and told me I need a new hot water heater he quoted me $2800 , I was like really, I know it don't cost that much for putting in a hot water heater he also told me he will charge me extra to carry the hot water heater up 3 flights of stairs and then having to take a walk down to get it in after thinking oh wait I think I should get a 2nd opinion so I did and another business told me they would charge me 1300 I said yes please do it and the guy said that the other company is known for screwing people over and that he doesn't know why he would be charge 2800 , so after applying for financing with this affordable plumbing I got approved after I had already got a hot water heater installed by another company that charged me way less and this guy called me and told me he wants his dam service fee for $99 I was like what after all the bullshit I went through he wasn't even nice about it he practically begged for it no legit business does that shit wow don't even pick up ur phone to call this place they charge WAY TO MUCH and they should be shut down read more

The fact that their name is "Affordable" is a bit ironic. The job was took less than 30 minutes and was simple. It was tightening a washer hose and replacing some bolts in a toilet. It cost almost $200. They also said the accepted credit cards but after the job was done I had to drive out to an ATM. I will not use them again. read more

I would hire Eddie and his help again if needed. Eddie allowed me to order the parts he suggested from Amazon and ship them to his location. I live in a different state (South Carolina) but had a residence in (North Carolina) that I am listing for sale. I had work done to update the well pump to a submersible pump. Eddie met me on site where he noticed the prime switch needed replacing so he only charged me for the part additionally. My brother was recently injured who is a commercial / residential plumber and said the cost he provided was quite reasonable. Eddie got the water flowing and we were told to clean out the sediment as I have heard and read must be done on a new install. By the time we had to leave the water was much clearer and we understood it can take time for the well to settle back.
