The first service attempt was made by the local sheriffs dept. Subsequently, the person called and said the sheriff is a friend of hers and we would never serve her. So we could not proceed. So when then found affordable, and she promised to serve within 5 days. When the next court date was finally booked, I sent the paperwork and money order 15 days ahead of when I needed it back. I also because of the law, had to file a service request with the sheriff's dept, even though I did not expect it to be served. I had to keep following up to make sure the papers were received, Affordable never contacted me to say the papers had been received. I kept following up to see if it had been served. Finally I received a response at 8am on the morning of the 9am court hearing. Literally we were parking at the court house when the email came through on my Blackberry that Affordable was never able to serve the notice. Affordable waited until 8am on the day of a 9am court hearing to tell me they could not serve the papers. I have to file to postpone by 5pm the previous day! I was so pissed. Affordable never apologized, never offered a refund. They just basically responded with, when it gets rescheduled, send us the new papers so we can serve them. Are you joking? We would never ever use them again. Luckily, the sheriff's dept came through and the court hearing was able to proceed. No thanks to Affordable. Thanks for wasting my money and time.
