I can not thank the same day service and Bobby Merritt for quick and efficient service and…read moreanswering my call ASAP. I had a dinner party of 12 that eve and my kitchen sink was so backed up. Called them at 8:00 in the morning and a TEC ( Bobby) was there by 10:00 and was not expected till 11:00 or after! He worked diligently and was able to get it clear within the hour and triple checked to make sure my evening would NOT back up!! He was very personable and kind on top of it all which is always a plus when your stressed out over this type of thing. I can not thank BOBBY enough and want PIPE WRENCH to know they have a gem of an employee ...and I thank the gals who took my calls and got a quick response to my situation!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Got a water heater replacement quote from these scam artists a few weeks ago. I guess maybe they…read moreare dependent on ripping off desperate people who are dumb enough to take the first quote but please tell me how you justify a $4300 quote for a 50 gallon water heater and pressure relief valve replacement ?? When Lowe's came out and did the EXACT same job for $1700.00? When I questioned the tech why it was so much he actually had the nerve to tell me , " well Pipewrench has over 80 employees and we have great benefits that the company has to pay for and also all the advertising that they do ". Seriously. That was HIS words , not mine. So just remember when you see those $4k a month billboards all over Knoxville , if you use these guys , you are the one paying for their ads.

I've owned my house for 3 yrs. In 2015, I spent $4300 for a new, larger AC unit as the one I had…read morewas way too small for my house. That fall, I spent another $1300 to replace gas pipe under the house and add a gas line to my kitchen. Then in winter I had 2 old windows replaced for $1000. All 3 projects were great. This year I had to replace my entire HVAC unit and ductwork in the house because my furnace was ancient and going to start failing. $9500 for a new furnace and AC unit (the one they put in wouldn't be compatible with the new Carrier unit) and all new ductwork. Took over a week to install. Had to request the installer to tie up the ducts in the attic as well as in my closet and cover up the hole in the floor with some sheeting. The next day, water was pouring from my son's ceiling. The guy forgot to pull a tab to start the pump. Had to replace the electrical outlet and light switch in the attic (located on the attic floor). Then I was rearranging my attic as everything was pushed to one side so they could install the unit and the AC wouldn't come back on. I realized nobody ever left a manual. They had to come out and restart the unit and reset my thermostat. Now I have another gas leak under my house. Had HEP come take a look as they replaced gas line earlier. Quoted me $1700 to replace the rest of the piping to the meter. I had LUB come take a look and they brought in their guy. HEP didn't use pipe tape to secure their connections. I spent $200. Also was notified by LUB that all of the ductwork under my house that is brand new is laying on the ground and not secured to the underside of the floors like it should be. I called HEP to talk to a manager. They took my name and # and said I will be contacted.... We will see. I gave my second star simply because Will (who keeps coming out to correct things with much head shaking) is great. Over $16,000 spent with them in the last 3 yrs. I hate to say that I don't think I will be going back. Not one offer of concession.

While Preston the manager was attentive and willing to talk, I will not be using this company again…read moreand advise others to be cautious. 1. Extreme Pricing: They quoted $835 to pull, snake, and reset a toilet--a non-emergency job. Local averages for this service are $250-$400. Even after a lengthy discussion with Preston, the price only dropped to $644, plus a $19 service fee. 2. Pushy Upselling: Technicians insisted I needed an $8,000 drain replacement despite three prior contractors verifying its integrity. Their aggressive tactics felt like a shady car dealership. 3. Poor Reliability: The technician arrived 5 hours late. Dealing with their "Zain" AI chatbot to get updates was incredibly frustrating. Unless you have no other choice, avoid this company to ensure you aren't taken advantage of.

Champion destroyed my home and I now need to seek legal counsel…read more On 11/22, I had a small leak near the washing machine tap. Called Champion to help and they sent Chase over. Despite turning off the water, Chase cut the line and water sprayed everywhere in the laundry room and into the wall. Chase capped it, the water eventually stopped and he completed the repair. Chase has me run the washing machine and he left. After 10 minutes, water started flooding my laundry room, kitchen and into my main bedroom. Chase comes back, runs around the house trying to figure out what happened, tears down insulation in the crawl space and then realizes he forgot to attach a hose to a drain pipe in my laundry room which caused water to flood everywhere. Chase tells me his manager will call me on Monday and leaves. After leaving to get dinner and coming back, I notice brown stains on the ceiling in my basement and my hot water was no longer working. I looked at the hot water tank and there was water everywhere at the base. Dishwasher also no longer working. We use the dishwasher everyday and it worked the night before the incident. Chris Thompson, the manager from Champion, does not call on Monday. I have to call three times before getting a hold of him. He gives me a promise that he will make everything right. He schedules someone to replace my hot water heater the next day and sends a company they work with called RestroPros to my home to asses the damage and make a plan for mitigation. Tuesday, my hot water tank is replaced by Jacob who walks around the home and reviews the damage. He assures me that Champion will take care of everything. Chris comes to my home when Jacob is done, shakes my hand and again reassures me that he will make everything right. RestroPros comes on Friday, takes pictures of the damage and take measurements. Tim from RestroPros tells me how they are going to have to remove drywall, paint my ceilings, replace flooring, cabinets, etc. He confirms that Champion would be billed for it and they've never had an issue having Champion approve this kind of work to be done as a result of something they caused. Tim sets up fans and dehumidifiers around the areas with high moisture. The dehumidifier in the laundry room emits an odor that makes my wife and I nauseous so we ask that it be removed. I put my own dehumidifier in there but it is not nearly as effective. Champion eventually removes the dishwasher and when they take out the old one, Jacob sees the water damage behind the dishwasher, says the drywall would need to be replaced and I have him again confirm that Champion would take care of it. RestroPros comes back to remove the fans and dehumidifier. They review the damage and once again reiterate that Champion would pay to fix everything. Tim comes back the day after the equipment was removed to finalize his report. Tim notes that the moisture in basement ceiling below the dishwasher is still at 97%. High moisture levels found in floors and walls upstairs as well. Champion eventually installs a new dishwasher. I talked to the installer (Haiden) about what happened and the installer again reaffirms that Champion will take care of all of it. RestroPros sends the mitigation report to Champion but no one proactively reached out to me to tell me what would happen next. I eventually talked to Josh, a manager at RestroPros, who tells me Chris is talking to the Champion leadership team about my situation and believes I would get the answers I was looking for the next day. Three days later and I finally talk to Chris about what is going on. Chris tells me his team has gone above and beyond and says that none of this was their fault and that they replaced my appliances as a courtesy and claims not to take fault for those issues. He tells me my dishwasher hasn't worked in months (so now he's calling me a liar), they aren't going to pay to have the water damage to walls, floors or ceiling repaired properly and that they will end communication with me. He said if I don't like it, we can take it up in court. After being called a liar by someone representing a company that damaged my home, I used the F word which I guess was a bridge too far for the company who caused thousands of dollars of damage in my home so he hung up on me. I've never been more offended in my life and can't believe I now have to hire a lawyer because Champion, despite swearing many times to fix everything, is now refusing to repair the damage they caused. At no point did they ever explain to me that they were only paying for a dehumidifier in the laundry room. Quite the contrary as multiple Champion employees told me how drywall would have to be replaced throughout my home (not just the laundry room) as a result of this incident and they all said Champion would of course pay for it. It is insane that they would replace appliances without accepting fault or accountability for the water damage caused by the appliances they replaced.
